Amazing deal, when I saw it was marked down to $8 I grabbed it just for that reason but honestly it's worth much more. Beautiful cookware.

I really love the ceramic non-stick coating and reasonable price. I use the pan to sautee without using oil; just water or broth.

A caterer friend recommended that I buy Scanpan. She said the coating won't chip away. So far, so good! That's not the only great thing about this pan. I'm now cooking on an electric stove which is miserable after 30 plus years cooking on a gas stove top. This Scanpan griddle is designed to evenly cook everything. My pancakes have never looked better!

I've been recommending this pan to everyone now.

I have a bad habit of pouring drinks and not finishing them. Instead of wasting them, these covers are great for covering them up and putting them in the refridgerator. I was using cellophane previously, but that tended to be messy and wasteful. These covers aren't super tight (i.e. I wouldn't turn a drink upside down), but it seems like it would keep carbornation in a drink longer than cellophane would. Their pretty cool looking too, so your refridgerator won't end up looking like a science lab experiment. Overall I'm very happy with these.

I love having these to use for my tea. They capture all the steam thus keeping my tea hot, the way I like it, while it steeps or while it sits if I'm busy with something else. They are not only useful but also cheerful and fun to have around. A small thing that brightens my day just a tad. Love them!

I must first start by disclosing that I did not purchase this particular set of cookware as a set. I just happened to see that the only review for it was very confusing and did not seem helpful. That said, I do own most of the individual pieces in this set. While I cannot tell you about the chefs pan, stock pot (I have the copper core version of that), or the larger saute pan, I do own the two fry pans, the smaller saute pan, and the sauce pans. I purchased my first pieces about 18 months ago and have been quickly adding to the set as Amazon.com, MetroKitchen.com, and CutleryandMore.Com have had some good sales.

One thing I have noticed is that people will mention in reviews on Amazon is that they got a "great" lightning deal on an item here, but won't say what that price was. I am happy to tell you specific prices. I purchased my set of All-Clad copper core as the 7 piece starter set when it was on sale as a lightening deal for $525.00 in November 2012. However, I already owned several pieces of the stainless series before I bought the All-Clad set. I have had the two fry pans and sauce pans in this set I am reviewing for well over a year. I also got the fry pans as lightning deals from Amazon for $89 and $99 respectively in mid and late 2011. I added the sauce pans earlier in 2012 for $99 and $109 via lightning deals. I just bought the saute pan on Metro Kitchen last month for $79 during a "cyber week" event. As you can see, if you have patience and are willing to wait for the individual pieces, you can eventually get them almost as cheap as the set.

I have also seen this particular set I'm reviewing as a lightning deal for $950.00, but I have seen it other places, including Metro Kitchen for as little as $920.00. Either the Amazon lightning deal or the Metro Kitchen price are excellent for this set if you don't want to wait for sales for individual pieces, but as I already owned most of it from individual sales, I haven't taken advantage of that price. Obviously this is a very expensive brand of cookware. I would actually not recommend purchasing a set outright until you have owned and cooked with an individual piece or two for at least 6 months. Each cook has their own preferences and you may find that what I (and many others) see as the best stainless steel cookware for home chefs isn't for you. Unless you're a trust fund baby or Google millionaire, it will be a sad day for you indeed if you have spent this kind of money and find it isn't to your liking though even a used set of these on eBay will fetch a good price, so you're not completely out of your money if you do find you don't agree with me.

Now that I've given you info on pricing, I'd like to tell you about how it has cooked for me. Until recently I was in an apartment with a very poor quality, low-end electric stove with burners that were horrible. A few months ago, I purchased a house and after selling the builder's grade stove I upgraded to an LG double oven gas range. The cooking experience for these two ranges were night and day. It was like going from driving a Yugo (electric range) to driving a Lexus (gas range). However, one consistent thing from both ranges is that my favorite (non cast iron) cookware is my All-Clad. I also own hard-anodized Caphalon, stainless steel Marcus Samuelsson (a full set), and some low-end cookware left over from my college days. The Caphalon is difficult to clean, doesn't cook evenly, and the lid doesn't completely sit on the pan properly. The low-end stuff (some Revere-ware copper bottom, some Faberware, and some no-name Walmart stuff) isn't even worth detailing, except to say within a year or so of use, most of it has warped bottoms and lids that don't close). The Marcus cookware is still pretty decent, with no warping and fairly easy cleaning, but it does not have the same level of even heating that I get from the All-Clad pots and pans. For the price, I would recommend the Marcus if you have a lower budget, but if you can spare the funds, the All-Clad stuff, especially the fry pans, are worth the extra money.

The best example I can give is cooking 10 steaks last Christmas for my family. I used my Marcus and All-Clad so that we would have all the steaks finished at once. I was using the old horrible, electric range, and the steaks cooked in the two Marcus pans were not all cooking at the same level and consistency, but the ones in the two All-Clad pans were finished at the same time, and a few minutes ahead of the ones in the Marcus pans. I ended up finishing the steaks from the Marcus pans in the All-Clad pans. I have tested the steaks again on the gas range recently. The Marcus pans performed a little better with the gas, but the All-Clad still had better results, with more evenly cooked steaks. (I deliberately used one of each pan to cook the steaks to see if the results would change with the better stove; there was improvement with both pans, but All-Clad still produced a better food product). Again, I'm not knocking the Marcus pans. They are the best I've found in that price range. But the All-Clad pans were a far superior product, with a much higher price. I bought my entire Marcus 10 piece set for about what I paid for two All-Clad pans and their lids. The saying that you get what you pay for is never truer than when comparing the two cookware brands. Of course nothing, absolutely nothing beat the results I got when I cooked a steak with my grandmother's 60-year old, well-seasoned Lodge cast iron skillet, but since most of us don't have one of those or the ability to steal one, this is about as good as we will get. My grandmother is leaving her cast iron skillet to me when she passes in what I hope will be many, many years down the road, and in the meantime I will "console" myself with these All-Clad pans.

Finally, I have seen other reviews of All-Clad (and stainless steel cookware in general) where the users/reviews bemoan their inability to clean the stainless steel. Three tips should help with that. First, when cooking, try to develop a fond (there are some good YouTube videos with instructions on this). Not only will this improve the taste results you get, but it will also make it easier to clean. Second, if you do find it difficult to remove food, soak the cookware in warm water with mild soap for an hour. That should make it a snap to clean. Finally, if you find you want that shiny new look you had when you first opened your All-Clad (or any stainless for that matter), and soap and water aren't cutting it, use some Bar Keepers Friend. It will not only work miracles on your cookware, you will also notice that if your sink is stainless steel, it's a little shinier too. I use Bar Keepers on my sink, cutlery, and appliances, as well as my cookware. It is well worth the very inexpensive price.

Update:

After talking with my grandmother and learning that she can no longer use her 60-year old, well seasoned cast iron skillet because of its weight, we worked out a trade. I am now the proud owner of the cast iron, and she's now using my All-Clad 3 quart saute/lid set. So now I not only love All-Clad for the excellent cooking results, but because I inherited something dear to me without losing my even dearer grandmother. :) Oh, and she likes the All-Clad too.

Read upon induction after we lost the burner and then the glass top cracked getting up a radiant heat cooktop. Induction info impressed me. Better than gas and more efficient than eletric competion. The pans are the best easy to clean; no scratching using soft rubbing. Must keep them lightly greased because it cooks so much hotter than all else. It will boil water in less than 60 seconds for small to medium pans two minutes for large. Loveit and cook much better. Smiles from all.

Review of Pyrex Easy Grab 2 quart casserole with glass cover

Pyrex Easy Grab 2 quart casserole with glass cover
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

I ordered the Pyrex Easy Grab Casserole specifically to heat browned/blackened seared chicken to 165 degrees in the microwave for final cooking.

THERE WERE TWO REQUIREMENTS

1. The dish had to be see-through so I could view the chicken for meat thermometer insertion as my microwave is mounted high.

2. The casserole had to fit and be able to rotate freely on the microwave carousel.

RESULTS

The casserole passed both tests. It rotates freely and I can actually see what I'm doing when testing for inner temperature.

Here's the actual measurements of the dish which are slightly different than the Amazon measurements.

The Dish is 12-3/8 inches x 8 inches. This includes the length of the handles.

My GE Microwave inner dimensions are 19-1/2 inches x 13-1/4 inches.

I really like this casserole dish and especially the grab handles.

I really like this container. It is a great size, the lid is awesome. The handle on the lid is not detached at all (no hole through it) it just has a little lip to grab which I can do even with an oven mitt on.

However I was hoping that buying this would provide me with a reusable oven lid that could be used with Pyrex Easy Grab 2-Piece Value Pack, includes 1-ea 3-qt Oblong, 2-qtOblong (No Lids) or

Pyrex Easy Grab 4-Piece Value Pack, includes 1-ea 3-qt Oblong, 2-qtOblong, Red Plastic Covers (which I have two sets of). However the oblong seems to be the key word as the oblong 2 quart is a tiny bit longer then this one (which is taller). I will try to get side by side photos of them when they are both clean.

I love Pyrex and have used the clear ones for years with the plastic lids (the red goes great in my kitchen). I just wish they had more of the glass lids so I didn't have to cover with foil and then throw it away. What a waste.

Best Deals for Pyrex Easy Grab 2 quart casserole with glass cover

I took a chance on this reasonably low priced casserole, and I guess I lost. It came solidly built and shipped very quickly, but I was searching for an affordable dish with a lid that fits close to snug to hold in moisture while cooking. This has huge 1/8th to 1/4th inch gaps that will release all the steam, which does not meet my needs.

Pyrex makes makes better fitting lids and even an excellent fitted lid using a silicone seal, but that's not offered in more usable sizes.

It is U.S. made.

Honest reviews on Pyrex Easy Grab 2 quart casserole with glass cover

We are concerned about effects of plastic bags on our food safety, and this casserole is great for cooking and storing food. Sturdy and substantial so it is easy to handle, and you can see what you have in the fridge. Highly recommended!

I have hoped to find a true competitor to Le Creuset for years, one that was more affordable and of the same quality. Staub fills the bill, and fills it with style. This cocotte is large enough to accomodate a good-sized chicken, and is perfect for slow-cooked stews and braises. The interior coating is easy to clean and effectively non-stick. While its weight may be a deterrent for some, it is so attractive that it can be left on the stovetop or on a counter for easy access. It is my best purchase of the year and I look forward to using it for years to come.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I've had the 7 quart Staub oval cocotte for a few weeks now, but it was too hot to cook anything stew-like until this week. Tonight I finally tried it out with a recipe for Chicken Stew with Winter Vegetables that I've been cooking for a good 10 years now. A classic Pierre Franey recipe. My old Le Creuset 5.5 quart French oven was never quite large enough. The Staub performed to perfection. It large enough to accommodate a large cut-up chicken and a ton of veggies with room to spare. It came up to a brisk simmer very quickly, and maintained the heat when I turned the heat to very low. The lid performs exactly as advertised. It seals completely. Not a wisp of steam came out of the pot. The spikes on the underside of the lid condensed the steam into moisture and cooked those vegetables at the top of the stew that were not completely submerged in the broth perfectly. My old Le Creuset would leave some of those veggies half-cooked while the rest were overdone. The veggies in this stew were all the same toothsome consistency.

I haven't tried to brown anything yet, but I am very impressed at the broad bottom surface that looks like it will accommodate a lot of meat at once. Very nicely designed.

Finally, the Staub is just gorgeous to look at. I know that how a pot cooks is more important than its looks, but, let's face it, we home cooks enjoy admiring our equipment. I bought the grenadine color and it is a really amazing shade of deep wine red, and the glaze is very glossy. It's just a pleasure to show off. I have a feeling that Staub may be discontinuing this color, because I got it for $199 on another site and now it is $203 on Amazon while the other colors are $239. So this color is a fantastic value if you buy it here or look around for a special.

Best Deals for Staub Oval Cocotte 6.75 Quart

If you're shopping for enameled cast iron, you already know the rave reviews for Le Creuset and I agree with them. But Staub is also a fantastic product line, equally gorgeous and with its own long tradition of French-made craftsmanship. These are the best of the bunch for cast-iron ovens.

I prefer Staub for its black, impossible-to-stain interior finish, super-heat resistant brass/stainless handle knobs and the built-in "doufeu" lid ridge to accommodate ice cubes for even more moisture/basting generation. Le Creuset sells a separate doufeu oven, at more than $250, but it's not a feature of their standard French or Coq au vin ovens.

This oven is large -easily fitting a large roast or whole chicken plus veggies. It has handles generous enough to fit four fingers, and the dimpled interior lid well described by Staub literature for optimal internal basting. The basil enamel is absolutely gorgeous, deep and rich with gradations in coloring on both the lid and body. My pieces have no flaws in enamel coverage at the seams, and no nicks/bubbles/imperfections in the finish, inside or out.

I ordered mine through Amazon, but it wasn't shipped through Target, so I can't speak to the vendor or shipping experience. I'm happy to see Staub carried by more popular stores; it's a shame it doesn't have Le Creuset's market exposure, just so discerning folks know they have a choice in really exceptional enameled cookware.

I said I would be lazy and re-print the relevant parts of this review under all the Staub products I own, for those looking at specific items rather than the entire product line. If you're in the market for a French oven, definitely consider Staub's features and quality -you won't be sorry.

Honest reviews on Staub Oval Cocotte 6.75 Quart

I have had this Staub dutch oven for a couple of months and have found so many uses for it. I have gotten rid of all my slow cookers and use this dutch oven instead. I have made pot roasts a couple of times and they come out so tender. Everything can be done in one pot because this dutch oven can be used on the stove and in the oven. You can saute onions and garlic and then brown the meat. After adding water, you can bring it to a boil before putting it into the oven. When potatoes and vegetables are added later, you can bring it to a boil again before returning it to the oven. This saves time in getting the water back to temperature after adding ingredients. I've also made some wonderful soups and stews using this dutch oven.

Cleanup is a breeze. Just rinse with hot water and wipe with a dish rag. Nothing sticks.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Staub Oval Cocotte 6.75 Quart

This was a beautiful dutch oven out of the box, but both my husband and I were not able to get the lid to rest flat. We noticed that there was a bump on the lip of each side of the lid which caused it to rock back and forth. I was so disappointed because I have a 4 qt round Staub cocotte that we love and was really looking forward to cooking bigger meals in this pan. I noticed that another reviewer cited the same lid problem. I wonder if I got his returned cocotte because ours looked like a return. Someone else has peeled the inspection sticker from the inside of the pan (I could see where it had been) and then while flipping through the pamphlet that came with the pan, I saw that someone had stuck the sticker (said something like inspected by Frederick) on the back page.

Review of Le Creuset Signature Phenolic Small Knob

Le Creuset Signature Phenolic Small Knob
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars
Buy Now
I've a 3-quart (or thereabouts) enameled cast iron round oven from the rachael ray line (no longer offered, apparently). The handle cracked off and this Le Creuset part fits perfectly, although I did have to buy a different stainless steel machine screw to match the lid's flat inner surface. But here is my confusion: Amazon lists this part as having a 375 F heat limit. However the part is listed by Le Crueset at 480 F. And, the actual part package lists it at 500 F.

As for the handle: The fit is perfect. The relatively soft nature of the handle makes it feel it will not loosen on it's own. I have not as yet tested it in oven use, but for stove top it has performed as expected. If you have an enameled cast iron cooking vessel lid that needs a replacement handle, this should do quite well even for other brands. For Le Creuset of course, this goes without saying.

5 stars for the product, 1 star removed for the lack of clarity.

A family member recently moved, and I was delighted that in the ruthless thinning down of her kitchen gear, she passed along to me a Le Creuset 5-Quart Oval French Oven that a quarter century earlier had been a wedding present, but that an entire generation of rushed clean-up by a busy family had left marred with multiple layers of well baked-on remnants from many years of wonderful meals.

A quick bit of Googling about revealed that the Le Creuset site has a wonderful trick for dealing with this common enough phenomenon, and considering these units retail for close to $300 these days, I figure the hour or so I spent restoring it's original glory was well worth my time. Besides which, I had long coveted this particular smaller casserole better suited to meals for two to four.

Unfortunately, however, I managed to crack the lid's original knob in my zeal to erase every last trace of oven-fired gunk.

The good news is that while Le Creuset hasn't altered the design or quality of it's cast-iron cookware in living memory, they have found a new knob material better suited for withstanding many years of intense oven temperatures. The change-out took less than a minute, the new knob feels entirely secure, and now the "French" Oven looks so great, it has found a prominent place on the open-shelved side of my kitchen.

Bravo! Le Creuset, not just for continuing to make quality products, but even more for making it easy enough to simply replace a broken knob rather than be strong-armed into re-purchasing a beloved pot. It's sad more manufacturers these days--electronics are the most egregious offenders--design for planned obsolescence than legacy compatibility. For myself, Le Creuset's policy makes me even more inclined to keep buying more of their products. (There's a wonderful Cast-Iron Braiser/Paella Pan . . . )

Best Deals for Le Creuset Signature Phenolic Small Knob

I like the knob and the quality, and it does what I need it to do -makes two Le Creuset pots usable again because they have workable covers. The one thing that I don't like is that the knobs are just a bit too big, so I can't get my fingers under the edges of the knob. Are there any smaller knobs? My two pots are very small and had smaller knobs than the replacements.

Honest reviews on Le Creuset Signature Phenolic Small Knob

I bought his know for a Farberware Induction stove compatible pot. I think this replacement knob probably cost 30% to 40% of the pot's original price, but all the lower-cost covers Amazon carries had bad customer reviews. The screw that comes with this knob is barely large enough that it will not go through the hole in the standard thickness glass cover for pots. Realizing that normal use could put enough stress on the glass cover to cause the it to chip where it's held down by the screw, I found a stainless steel washer that fitted between the bottom of the glass cover and the knob to spread the force over a larger area as I tighten the screw. Le Creuset Dutch Ovens and others like it have thick cast-iron covers covered in enamel, so a small screw will hold the weight of the cover.

We tried a knob that wasn't made specifically by Le Creuset, and it didn't last very long. This one looks very sturdy and can handle the weight of the pot lid.

I bought these ... they looked good in the store... but when it came to their use, the small pan's handle is heavier than the pan itself and does not sit level on the burner unless there's heavy food in it which makes for uneven heating. Both fry pans seem to be an odd size. None of my lids from other pans fit them, not even close. Based on this I will not buy another Paula Deen product. I would like to know who makes them and get contact info so I can express this to the company.

Bought this set in addition to other Paula den items. The pans are great and I use them everyday, the only thing I wish they had even as an added purchase would be lids, none of the other Paula Deen lids fit them either,or any of my old lids either. Other than that the pans heat nicely and I have made everything from eggs, grilled cheese, to stroganoff in them with no issues. I'd do hand wash them as instructed in the insert and use silicon utensils only as well, they still look new after 6 months of use and am very pleased just wish could find lids to fit them....when did manufacturers stop making lids for frying pans?

The previous Bunns I had lasted at least 4+ years. They also don't insulate as well as older models.

I was impressed with the quality of this Bunn Airpot. It performs better than advertised for keeping coffee hot for hours. I take my airpot on our boat when we go fishing and serve the coffee from it thoughout the day. Even though we fish in the early spring with temperatures anywhere from 35 degrees to 60 degrees the airpot keeps the coffee wonderfully hot.

My only complaint is that cleaning the inside of the pot is difficult because of the small hole. Forget about scrubbing the inside with your hand and dishcloth as it will never fit. You'll have to invest in a bottle brush for vacuum bottles. I guess they didn't use a larger hole because the airpot is made to fit under a Bunn Coffee maker and didn't want the heat to escape before the coffee finished brewing. But if you're like me and just pour a pot of coffee into it, the larger inlet would have been nice. I guess I was spoiled by my last large pump dispenser which was made by Thermos. Unfortunatley it's been discontinued.

None the less, the bottom line is that this Bunn Airpot is durable, keeps coffee hot for hours, and yes I would buy it again.

Great product. Keeps coffee hot for 10 hours easily. Nice to have hot coffee all day when desired. Shipping was prompt and immediate, but the price was the best. Great price for a great product. Purchased similar item on Ebay and was not pleased with price and after purchasing item, I found shipping charges of $17.00 in addition to price. This seller proccessed and shipped this item for the price of the ebay Airpot Stainless Steel Finish 3.0 LITER, without their shipping charges. I ordered on same day and this customer shipped and it arrived before the ebay seller even shipped item.

I bought this airpot at the same time I bought a Bunn coffeemaker. I brew a pot of coffee, pour it in the airpot, and everyone in the household has their morning coffee ready to go. We have 3-6 coffee drinkers in our household, so I often brew 2 pots and sometimes even 3. I also have brewed coffee for the house and then brewed another pot or two and taken the airpot into school (I am a teacher). The coffee stays hot all morning and even (if it lasts that long) into the afternoon. I share with the other staff and "coffee thursdays" have become very popular. The coffee not only stays hot, but stays fresh because it is not sitting on a hot plate burning away the good taste. The pot is rugged enough to ride in the back seat of my car on the way to work without harm and stylish enough that the women of the house don't complain about it sitting on the counter in the kitchen. This has definitely improved the morning coffee for all of us.

Good, solid product, nice pump handle. We have had about 5 of these from

various manufacturers the big problem with them is the pump handle breaks.

This one is very strong. All else is about the same. But, the main issue

with these items is the pump handle so this one gets top billing with

us. Wm. Anderson

The one-piece silicon construction with steel shank eliminates problem of spatula coming off the handle in heavy batters. Performs well with high heat--doesn't warp or melt. I bought one in a specialty kitchen shop, but saved the card so I could order more from Amazon if I liked it. I'm now ordering some for some of my favorite cooks for Christmas. They're also less expensive from Amazon than retail store where I purchased mine. Thanks, Amazon!!!

I use this all the time it's very versatile. It's firm with just enough give. Especially useful when you have several things cooking at the same time. You can use each end to stir or taste without getting one pot in the other. Its a stirrer, scraper, tasting spoon etc..

Just like it says, won't melt, is non-stick, gets every drop out of the jar and a million other things, too!

This spatula is my absolute favorite! It has a small and big head that are the perfect sizes. I work at a kitchen store and the Chef'n spatulas are my favorite of the different brands we have. I bought the rest of the ones we had left because I give them as gifts along with other gadgets as part of a "my favorite things" gift basket. Everybody loves them.

I always sell these first at work because I have absolutely nothing bad to say! Simply the best!

I was using a dish washing liquid with a floral scent, and now the spatula is retaining the smell and won't let go of it, even after a dozen washings with a new dishwashing liquid, and also tried soaking it in electric dishwashing powder dissolved in water. Nothing seems to help.
