My original set of Bialetti pans purchased seven years ago at Costco were made in Italy, and I love them. This pan was ordered to replace one of the pans that is used frequently and is showing its age. Unfortunately, not only is the new pan made in CHINA, but the side wall and base plate thickness is thinner. My email inquiries to Bialetti remain unanswered to this day, so I have no choice but to believe that their quality appears to have degraded. Looks like another corporation has succumbed to farming out their product manufacturing, as well as zero customer service. Makes me wonder how they would back up their so called Lifetime Warranty if put to the test when they don't even bother to respond to a simple inquiry. Good news is that Amazon quickly refunded my money when I sent this cheap product back.

I really like the style of this pan. I also like that you can use it in the oven. I have a recipe for Cajun chicken that calls for browning and then baking in the oven and this is perfect for it. You do have to be careful when you take it out of the oven though because the metal part on the handle gets too hot to handle. The metal part of the handle does not get hot when you cook on top of the stove. It is definitely non stick and very easy to clean.I always hand clean them. The ad says you can use metal utensils but the warnings on the wrapper it comes in does state otherwise and warns against using metal utensils. So, I won't use metal utensils. It has a nice hefty weight to it but not so much since I am a senior and don't like to use very heavy pans anymore. I now have all three sizes of Bialetti Arte Collection frying pans and am using them on a daily basis. The only con I can think of is that they don't come with a lid. I happen to have all three sizes of the lids (Glass) that I purchased for some other cookware that I have. I would have given a five star rating if it were not for the lack of a lid and the difference in the ad features and the warnings on the actual wrapper.
