This tea kettle is a really nice shiny color and still cleans easily. It pours well but doesn't whistle until it is really boiling hard. It seems to take awhile to heat up but that might just be that I have a flat electric cooktop and the kettle has slight ridges on the bottom.

Not only do I love the vibrant color on this kettle, which the picture is right on, but the easy thumb switch that lifts the spout so you can pour is great. The handle gets hot while boling but not so hot that you can't pick it up. The lid is snug but not hard to open like my Le Creusset was. Overall, I am very happy with this well-made whistling kettle.

I assumed the inside of the kettle would be stainless steel. My last one had an enamel coating that scratched and wore off. This has a powdery coating who knows what it is. I'm going to get one that has a surface that I can be sure is safe.

I bought this kettle to replace an old one that had seen better days, and in this color because it perfectly matched a new backsplash tile accent I put up a year ago. The box shows the exact same color pictured here, but the real kettle color is more of a burnt orange/apricot than the copper in the pic indicates. It still matches well enough, but when you purchase a teal, purple or apricot colored kettles, I assume it's to match existing color schemes, hence the warning.

As far as the kettle itself goes, it's fairly well-made for the price point, has a comfortable handle that never gets hot, is easy to pour, and the wide, flat bottom makes water boil much faster than my old Copco kettle, which is a huge plus when I need my first cup of java in the morning. And this baby's whistle will wake the neighbors when it gets going, unlike another reviewer's comment about it not whistling till it really gets boiling. There's no such thing as blanket uniformity in manufactured goods anymore, no matter what country they're made in, but mine had no such issue. You'd think I lived adjacent to a train track when this kettle sings.

All in all, I'm pleased with this kettle, which will get used 3 to 4 times a day, so I hope I feel similiarly in a few years time. It's got a good look, it's well-balanced, the handle stays cool, so it's both appealing and utilitarian what more could you want?

This was purchased as a replacement for a stainless designer model tea kettle that had outlived its useful life. The primary need was aesthetic and this unit filled the bill perfectly.

However, the time it took to receive this item was way too long, which prompted me to contact the seller to see what's the matter. As it turns out, the listing did warn about this eventuality, but I was hoping the listing was pessimistic, so as to ensure greater likelihood of an on-time delivery.

In the end, I am happy with this purchase and would recommend the seller (as long as it's not needed quickly).

Months ago I started researching glass storage options after making the decision to completely move away from plastic food storage and this Pyrex glass storage bowl set was exactly what I was looking for.

Pros:

-Both the bowl and lid are freezer, microwave, oven, and top rack dishwasher safe.

-Bowls are made right here in the US.

-They're truly airtight & leak-PROOF, not leak resistant like a lot of other storage containers on the market.

-No clicking and flipping of flimsy plastic tabs to hold the lid to the bowl.

Cons:

-If you have several of the same size bowls, like I do, be aware that they don't stack very well. I wish they would do a slight re-design and "flute" the first inch or so of the bowl so it would allow them to stack/nest into each other.

As has probably been the experience of many others on Amazon, I've had all glass containers, and I've had all plastic containers. And I've used plastic containers like margarine/butter tubs so that they weren't wasted. I've had just about every brand of those plastic matching container sets, including the inexpensive ones and the thicker ones.

Unlike some of the reviewers of the all-glass Anchor Hocking square storage containers, I come from a generation where everyone used those little 'refrigerator' dishes and I realize those can't store air-tight. I have some of the newer, much more expensive Anchor Hocking deco-inspired glass containers and I enjoy and use them all the time. But--they don't seal air-tight, and they are also quite heavy.

Pyrex makes two types of these glass storage containers with see-through tops. One series has a plastic see through window on top with a little tab for venting so that it's microwave safe. Mine like that have blue soft rims to seal the glass bowl. The other type, the ones here, have a glass top insert with red silicone plastic rims to seal to the all glass bowl.

I bought a Pyrex brand measuring cup a few years ago that has a red silicone ring on the bottom, and a red silicone lid to cover the cup. This cup has been used almost daily, dropped countless times, and been through the dishwasher even more. It looks, still, like the day I bought it. That was what motivated me to buy these containers.

They are heavy, but in no way nearly as heavy as the Anchor Hocking containers. Heavier than any of the plastic ones, though. Because the lids are silicone they can even withstand baking in an oven, though why someone would choose to do that is beyond me. Naturally, they're freezer, fridge and microwave safe also. They go through the dishwasher perfectly well, and so far mine have, as with the measuring cup, shown absolutely no wear.

I was just getting creeped out by the way that my plastic containers were looking. I don't know if 'etching' is the proper term, but they certainly were showing use--and I have a bunch of them.

There's no doubt that these are more expensive than plastic. But I don't store as much as I used to and a couple of sets of these are proving to have the best of both worlds--the inertness of glass with foods, and the superb sealing quality of silicone rims.

I just got these recently. I bought them because I wanted to get some non-plastic containers that were microwave and dishwasher safe and liked that these are also oven safe and leak proof.

My main complaint is that the size description is incorrect. They are supposed to be 2 cups, but when I got them they definitely looked smaller. So, I tried measuring out 2 cups of water in a Pyrex measuring cup and pouring it into the container, but I had to stop because it would have spilled over. I had read some of the reviews that these were small, but I bought them anyway, because I thought 2 cups actually meant 2 cups. That's unfortunately not the case here. :(

These bowls are a great size for lunch. I do disagree with the No Leak in the product name. The lids do get loose over time, so make sure you pack them upright in your lunch bag.

I'm not going to bother talking about the dish itself, because it's just your standard Pyrex dish that's been around since the dawn of civilization. The important part is the lid.

Most Tupperware-style lids seal around the outside of the dish. That's fine for plastic dishes, because the dish can flex a bit as you pull the lid off, so the lid doesn't have to stretch in order to come off the top of the dish. Glass, obviously, does not flex -and yet, every airtight glass dish I've seen until now has used a lid that seals around the outside, just like the plastic dishes, except that the lid has to stretch to come off. That makes the lid harder than heck to remove, and it inevitably cracks after a few uses.

What Pyrex has done is something that needed to be done a long time ago. They designed a lid that seals INSIDE the dish, so it can be pulled off easily, and the airtight seal doesn't have to stretch at all. AND, they used silicone to make the flexible part of the lid, so it will basically last forever, because silicone is inert to everything. It's even safe to use in the oven, though I can't think of anything you could actually cook in an airtight dish in the oven -but if you tried, at least the lid wouldn't melt.

I bought a couple of these to test, and so far they've passed with flying colors. The most important test I could think of was the Upside Down Hot Water test -I filled the dish with steaming hot water, put the lid on, turned the dish upside-down in my sink, and shook it vigorously -the lid didn't pop off, not even from the increasing air pressure as the hot water heated the air in the dish, and the seal didn't leak at all. I've been waiting years for glass dishes like these.

Maybe I can save somebody some time. I spent many hours researching eco-friendly, nonstick cookware, reading what seemed like hundreds of reviews. I settled on the Healthy Legend line and purchased 12-inch and 8.5-inch frying pans. I have been using them for at least four months and am very happy with them. I have used the larger pan almost daily and have noticed no deterioration in the cooking surface. Eggs, pancakes, hamburgers, etc. cook uniformly and slide off the pan, which is easy to clean with plain water and a plastic scrub brush. Occasionally I will use a small amount of dish soap, but this usually seems like overkill.

The only reasons I did not rate this purchase five stars is:

1) The two pans and lids are different styles and do not match. Not a big problem, I just like the look of matching pans and had assumed they would match. Any difference was not obvious on the site, nor was I aware of different "lines" or models. (I purchased these through the company's site.)

2) I received no instructions for the care or use of the pans, other than a brief description on how to screw on the knobs for the lids. I know from reading the various reviews that it is best to avoid washing these in a dishwasher, and best to use plastic utensils and not metal, but it seemed odd.

I believe that because the company is located in Germany, they must have found a third-party vendor in the U.S. to resell the pans. While it was a convenience to use PayPal, and the price was right, I wouldn't have minded paying a few more dollars to receive matching pans and instructions.

I found the Healthy Legend Cookware with the German ceramic coating work the best and no toxic coating to worry about. The German ceramic coating is very strong. I guess it will last 3 to 4 times longer than traditional Teflon coated pan with no health hazard. Teflon is known to cause cancer. Stainless steel pans are not 100% stainless stell, they have 3% nickle in their metal to make them shinny and the some nickle has unknown health effect. I would recommend this Healthy Legend fry pan to anyone as it is the best. Just a reminder, do not overheat it or forgot to turn off the stove and burned it. The coating will not flake off but the non-stick will become more stick but still better than uncoated pan.

Heavy duty, double coated non-stick, alum alloy...does not rust. Should last a lifetime. Very easy to clean just wipe with a wet rag and hand dry or air dry pan. My wife and I are tired of replacing baking pans that rust after a few years. I have another Chicago baking tray and it has taken a beating, but still looks new. I have had it for about 10 years. Another great muffin pan that I ordered from Amazon for use in India.

I think they have sent me the newer version, since there is 'II' mentioned on the pack. However, the pan is much, much better-looking than the image shown of the newer version.

The quality is really worth the money, just like the one by USA Pans, which also was bought from Amazon a few weeks back. Both the pans may be a bit on the expensive side, but they are an investment a serious baker should definitely go for.

When I received this pan first, I noticed that its surface is very slick and expected highly its non-stick performance. During the first 5 baking, much to my satisfaction, muffins did not stick to the pan at all, even I did not pre-treat the pan with oil. I was very happy and took care of it very well by hand washing with sponge/mild cleaner.

However, after 5 baking, muffins started to stick to the pan. I treated it with cooking oil before baking with no use. Right now, muffins sticks so hard that it is very difficult to remove muffins from it even with metallic spoon. I did not over-bake; I have baked muffins at 425 F for 15 min.

Now I use paper bake cups, but still it is very difficult for me to clean the pan, even after soaking it in water for a long time. The surface of pan is still slick and no good to handle it safely. Not a good choice with a higher price you pay. I rarely write a review, but I have to at this time.

These pans are heavy-weight, made for heavy use. I do a lot of baking for my synagogue and having good equipment makes everything come out better. In my opinion, you can't get better baking pans than Chicago Metallic. I also have 9x13 baking/roasting pans and 1 1/2 pound loaf pans that get a lot of use -I bake all our bread. They all stand up to heavy use and turn out a superior product.

People have said the coated pans lose their non-stick quality after a while. I have noticed that some with the bread pans, but only slightly, after heavy use. Some people said they had not used anything in the pans -no butter or spray -which I don't think is the best way to bake and not what non-stick is intended for. It is supposed to make it easier to get baked goods out of the pan, but not to replace greasing the pans in the first place. I have no trouble getting bread out of the pans. If the product has a high sugar content, you will need not only to grease the pan, but coat it with flour as well to get things out easily. That's just normal baking procedure. The non-stick surface helps make this easier. The last muffins I baked in these pans had a high sugar content and came out very easily with just buttering and without flouring them.

I am very happy with the muffin pans, as I am with the others. I hope to replace all my baking pans with Chicago metallic products. .

A sturdier, better designed rack would be hard to find. It sits comfortably in the roaster, offers large handles for ease in lifting even the heaviest roasts, and is non-stick! Unfortunately once it's out of its element, it's unwieldy. Cooking meat spatters, so almost every inch of this rack is covered with grease. The metal can scratch your sink. This isn't fun. My best advice is to find someplace where you can let it soak in hot, soapy water for a few minutes. Then use a nylon pad, and keep turning the rack to make sure you've got all the surfaces clean. It's easy to miss something when you're dealing with this sort of design. Let's face it, at this price, this rack is a bargain any way you look at it. Just expect to spend a little extra time and effort on the cleaning.

I've had this rack for over a year now and I've used it many, many times. It's a roasting necessity for a beautiful holiday turkey, everyday chicken, or fabulous sirloin roast (gives you uniform roasting by allowing heat to circulate around the meat and preventing the lower portion of your roast or bird from boiling in it's own juices at the bottom of the roasting pan). This particular rack is offered in a larger size, but when I bought it last year, this was the only choice available. I'm very happy with it -I've cooked a few 20+lb turkeys in it and don't see the need for the larger rack. Granted, my 22lb turkey did look like a size 18 woman in a pair of size 6 jeans, but it still worked quite well! I've never had a problem with clean-up that a little soaking in soapy water didn't fix. The rack doesn't look as lovely as the day I got it, but geez... it's been roasted a couple dozen times and it's still going strong. I highly recommend this rack.

This would be a wonderful addition to any cook's kitchen. It holds almost any size meat or poultry... large or small. It will probably fit most roasting pans, although the Calphalon pan is the easiest to clean up. The best part... all the fat drips off the meat while it's roasting. Other roasting racks that I've used only sit a half inch or less off the bottom of the pan and sometimes that's just not enough to keep the meat out of the drippings. I thought these pans would be cheap like other sold on tv products but they cook great. They are great for low fat cooking and searing meat. I have some all clad hard anodized I ordered around a month ago and they already had scratches after a few uses. I have used the stone dine to cook around 15 times now and after I clean them they look brand new. They heat up very fast and cook evenly. I really like these pans. Oh yeah they don't stick and are easy to clean. I would let them cool first even through on tv they spray them when they are hot that will eventually warp the pan. Only bad thing is they don't have lifetime warranty like all clad and other quality pans.

I've had this saucepan for about a year now, and I use it every day. It looks a bit tarnished compared to when I bought it, but I was expecting that. It's a pretty workhorse, not a porcelain doll. It heats evenly and is the perfect size for a wide variety of tasks. I purchased it in a large set, and it's the pan I go to most often.

Stainless is going to get marked from any number of items cooked in it. I use the Calphalon stainless for cooking everything! The right cleaner will get the marks out/off. I have yet to have cleaning failure. The only cleaner that I have found to be absolutely successful on stainless is Bar Keepers Friend® Cleanser & Polish: 12 OZ (available on Amazon). This is a powder not creme paste. The paste does not work well. The right scrubber with the powder makes an enormous difference. I have tried all kinds, but found The Original Magic Jetz Scrubz J22 Scrubber Sponge Round (available on Amazon) to be far superior than others in cleaning any stainless cookware with the Bar Keepers. Of additional help is a bit of elbow grease not too much needed. Calphalon is expensive, but it cooks likes nothing else. Cleaning should not be a deterrent as to purchase or not. One just needs to use the right cleaning combination for the job.

I use this pot to boil wort for beer making. It was about the most inexpensive stainless steel pot I could find of it's size. I wanted to be able to do full boils and this can boil 8 gallons without boiling over.

The steel is a bit thin, but I expected this for a pot under $100. Although the walls are thin, I have not no issues with strength or build quality. I feel completely comfortable picking the pot up with 6 gallons of boiling liquid in it. Although heavy, the handles are up to the task and remain cool.

Although there are higher quality pots out there, I don't think you can find another pot at this price at this quality level. I would recommend this pot to anyone looking for a large stock pot and a good price.

I bought this pot to boil all-grain full boil worts in beer making. I does this job quite well. This pot holds a full 9 gallons and will boil a 7 or 8 gallon wort easily. All stainless steel with two lifting handles that can handle the weight of the full batch and a vented cover make it ideal for brewing 5 gallon batches either all-grain or from extract. And this pot can go from brewing beer to steaming lobster to large batches of soup. Would recommend this pot for all home brewing needs, especially the all-grain brewer who needs to boil the full batch.

I was worried about the thickness of this pot but I am not worried anymore. It is quite thick and I can pour 7 gallons of homebrew from the pot to the fermenter without any bending. The lid is nice and sturdy and I would definitely buy this again. I bought it for $75 with free shipping from Amazon. You can't beat that deal. The rivet holes for the handles leaked the first time I brewed in it but haven't leaked since then. I have used it for 5 brews and 2 corn roasts. Great pot!

I used this on the Bayou Classic propane burner and it was a killer combo. I'm so glad I switched to this instead of the old 24-quart on my electric stove. Doesn't even compare. Best part is if you measure properly, you don't need to top off your wort in the fermenter, because this can hold enough initially. Definitely recommend.

A good, all around stockpot and water bath canner for those tall bottles and gallon jars that just will not fit in anything else. I suppose it would work great for a turkey fryer, but we purchased it for making stocks, broths, and canning.

The heavy stainless has not scorched anything yet, as cheaper 'bargain' stockpots tend to do. The lid is impressive and heavy as well.

Would have been a five star purchase, but the rivets holding the handles on leaked on both sides, limiting filling to about two inches below them. This makes the top five inches or so of the stockpot unusable.

An all around good pot, but make sure you check the rivets by filling with water before you put something important inside, ESPECIALLY oil for frying.

I was looking for a turner for eggs that the eggs would not stick to and require scraping with a knife to remove the cooked on residue which is always the case with nylon spatulas. Eggs don't stick to silicon rubber so I was hoping that this would be the answer. Unfortunately, only the end is silicon rubber. The eggs don't stick to the end, but they do stick to the body of the spatula. It is an improvement over plain nylon, but is still not ideal.

While the spatula has a comfortable weight, the handle is just the slight bit too long to be ideally usable.

Additionally, the front ( the "bar" which connects the "prongs") is too soft. I often cannot satisfactorily get underneath food far enough to flip it without pushing it against the edge of the pan, which should not be necessary in a spatula.

That said, it's cheap enough that I'm managing for the summer, but I wouldn't buy this for serious long-term use.

This is a really good spatula. It's relatively large, meaning it's easy to turn eggs or pancakes with. The grip is comfortable, and it cleans up easily. Note that the first quarter inch of the leading edge of the spatula is very flexible, while the rest is more stiff, meaning that the front edge will conform when pressed under objects that you are trying to turn. It also means that the leading edge isn't very good for scraping, since it is soft and flexible, but most cooking that involves a spatula will ideally not result in scraping (although we all make mistakes!).

In any case, we got two of them and have no complaints.

This is a very good spatula. It is for delicate work in a pan and not for scraping. One problem I have had is that the end bends backwards and then breaks off after a few months. It is possible that I just got a poor example, but because the spatula is so useful, I will certainly be getting some more.

this is great because

1. it's Silicone

2. of course it holds up to Heat of 400F

3. food doesn't stick to itit slides off easy

4. its sturdy, with a nice grip-easy handle

5. it looks good it doesn't melt or get really soft and come apart

6. it has great lengthlong enough for what I use it for

I gave 4 stars because it didn't come in the color I wanted, so I was forced to purchase this color

Do not waste your money. These handles are made of a hardened plastic. They have no pliability and 3 of them cracked during installation. If you can get them on without breaking them, your pot will look like a cheap "camping" pot. High gloss and overall cheap appearance.

They fit and hopefully they'll hold. Nice not to have to throw away this old pot that's been in my family for a very long time.
