I have 2 canners both are Mirro a 12 quart M-0512 and a 22 quart M-0522-11.This gasket is working in the 12 quart after struggling to get it closed.Hoping it gets better with use.But on the 22 quart it doesnt stay in the groove very well and when you do get it to stay in you can't close the cooker.they are made of some slick black junk instead of the gray rubber the old one were made of.Have ordered them from goodmans for years and this is the first time i have had a problem.Will be looking for some one that carries the old gray ones.I ordered three so hope I wont need any for the twelve quart for a while.Update! I have used this gasket for about a month and it has gotten worse.Cant even use it on the 12 quart.

I have been trying to find a replacement for my older Mirro Canner. I thought I had found it. But I also bought the new canner, so I thought that I would be safe. If it didn't fit my old one then it would fit my new one. I got the new 92122A. Guess I didn't pay enough attention. This gasket says it is for the 92122. I didn't realize that it wasn't the same as the 92122A. My fault.

I have had my 22 quart Mirro canner for over 30 years, it is the kind with only the jiggler on top, no gauge, and you turn the lid to lock it. I was at the end of my canning season with only a few more batches to can when my very old canner gasket began to fail. So I ordered one from Amazon because of their fast shipping. I got it in just a few days and was able to complete my canning for the season. It has been a while since I have used a canner with a new gasket and had trouble getting my lid closed, it seemed that the gasket was too thick. I went to the Mirro website for information and it said a new gasket is stiff and to lightly oil the gasket on both sides the first few times of use until it is broken in. I did this and it worked great. There is still a bit of resistance but the gasket seals every time with no leaks. I am happy with this product and hope it lasts as long as the original gasket did. I know that I will have no problems with it next canning season.

I bought this pot and it sat in my kitchen unused and unopened for two months. When my mother in law came over to do some canning we used it to boil salt water. I took the packaging off, added water, added salt, and boiled. When we took the water out of the pot, the bottom was pitted with little rust spots. There are holes in the bottom of it like an old car or something. I will be asking for a refund and I will not purchase this band again.

The price is right. This is a nice, sturdy, stock pot. We purchased it mainly for making large batches of chile. We had looked in many, many stores for a pot but did not want to spend $40 or $50 on a pot that would be used relatively infrequently on chile or soup. We found this pot at a very resonable price. I was concerned that it might be of thin gauge. It is actually quite sturdy and and at this price it is a deal you should not pass up. Cleans up easily.

I got the product yesterday, double box packaging was good, 1 small dent and some scratches inside on the bottom of pot, but that was minor and ok. Over all the pot looks and feels good but have not use it. The issue is the glass lid does not properly fit the pot opening. Not sure if they pack the wrong lid or it is just a horrible design of the lid or the pot opening. If the lid does not fit the pot then the pot is no use. I am returning it today.

It arrived with a broken handle. As you can see in the picture, the handle is a little samll for a heavy skillet like this one. But no problem, I packed it up, returned it, and a replacement was received considabily fast! (for super saver free shipping, Amazon probably lost money on this purchase for sending the heavy skillet 3 times (original, return, and replacement). Great service Amazon!

I had no experience using cast-iron cookware prior to this one but I consider myself and pretty good cook. I did a lot of reading and research on cast iron, and gave this a try. It works great! The pre-season coating worked as promised. I use it to prepare steak mostly and the result was nice. I am still experimenting and adjusting cook time as this piece works differently than any other cookware I had before, but I like what it can do so far. I have seen the same skillet (except for the boy scouts logo) selling cheaper at Walmart. But for something that heavy, I can understand the extra cost even just for shipping. I have not seen one with the boy scout logo anywhere and I think it looks a lot more handsome that the regular one. Combining the 2 factors, I think the extra few dollars was well worthed.

Ever since I have the skillet, I am constantly watching for good steak on sale from the local georcery so I can do more (rewarding) experiments.

This is a second one of my cast iron Lodge pans. I am very happy with it, as it proved invaluable in my kitchen. Thick cast iron provides even heat throughout the pan, without cold spots or hot spots. I don't have to use high heat to get amazing results. True, I do have to use both hands, but this is a minor inconvenience (and I get a workout). I suppose gradually I will replace all of my fancy non-stick aluminum pots and pans with those made in the USA by Lodge. They are not only "as good as", they are "better than", when it comes to cooking performance.

Bought this cast iron skillet some years ago and could not be happier. It comes preseasoned but that seasoning doesn't last long. I had to un-rust the skillet and reseason a few times but it was totally worth the effort. Now it cleans like a dream with little more than a soapy rag and cooks SO well. This pan has become a staple in my house and will cook anything. I can't even remember what I used before. I know I sound like a raving fool but this really has worked out well for me.

The Boy Scout emblem is nice but I think I initially chose this skillet because it was the only one that was part of an Amazon promotion: buy 3 get 1 free in cookware. I bought a lid to go with it and a couple of other cast iron items included in the promotion. The pan is heavy as most cast iron cookware tends to be but I'm so used to it now. I wouldn't trade my cast iron cookware for anything. So glad I upgraded.

My mother bought this for me after she bought one herself and loved it. She's a housewife and a crazy good cook, so she liked trying out the different recipes that the website offers. I am a college student and a pretty lazy/impatient one too, and this tray takes all the annoying parts out of cooking. I love crisp steamed veggies that you get at restaurants and this does a fantastic job of recreating that in my lonely apartment kitchen. I've even divulged a few times in making some entrees with it too. It's a big help when you want to eat healthy but just don't want to do the "cooking" portion of it. My favorite part of this is how delicious green beans and asparagus turn out when I use this steam tray. Crunchy, but not raw. Perfectly delicious.. I think it's a good buy if you're a poor college student who has to cook on their own, and also if you're a busy (or not busy, just love to cook) mom/wife/dad/husband who has to make food all the time for their family. It's pretty fun to experiment with too!

I got this as a gift in Feb '13. For 2 months I loved, LOVED this product. Used it almost everyday.... I steamed things, baked things, it was so easy. Veggies were crisp, but cooked. Meats were juicy & tender. Cleaning (if you don't have a dishwasher is annoying). BUT..... at about the 3 month mark, it started to smell more and more "plastic"... a weird silicon-ish version. And then it made my Veggies pick up this taste too. #*$@&(##$*$$ SIGH!!! Thankfully they are letting me exchange it. But, they & I have no idea why it got strange in the first place. My only guess is that it says it can withstand heat up to approx 220C which is about 420F. Sometimes I'll cook meat in the toaster oven at about 400, but never more than that. Maybe it couldn't handle it?? **TEAR**

I am in love with Lekue. I bought this steamer in addition to the Lekue Ogya, which is unfortunately not yet being sold on Amazon. The design is so smart that you can easily strain out leftover water without having to open it up or burning your fingers: just tilt it to the side and the water will stream through the cracks.

I have not used the tray insert at all yet, because I use this as a regular dish: it fits two sliced apples or two sliced potatoes, so it's a bit lower than expected. The Ogya I have is green, but I bought this one in red and would recommend the red color if you ever plan on using tomato sauce with it!!

Quick recipes I love:

1: Thinly spread outmeal on the bottom, slice two apples and spread stevi or a Tsp of sugar over it, and nuke the whole thing for 10 minutes.

2: Slice 2 potatoes and spread out layers of potatoes, tomato sauce and ricotta, cover with parmesan cheese and nuke for 10 minutes.

3: Nuke sliced tomatoes for 5 mins, then add frozen salmon for a few more mons, drizzled with lemon and sauce of your choice.

Also, check out Lekue's incredible recipes on either their Youtube channel or on lekue.be. Incredible because you never thought you could do all this in a microwave, in such a short time!! There is no faster way to eat healthy!

I bought a number of Food Network non-stick cookies sheets and bread pans at a local store. Twenty bucks each. Everything stuck to them and they easily stain.

I read the reviews here and bought two of these. Using the identical recipes, nothing sticks to the Anolon cookie sheets.

Contrary to what one reviewer wrote here, they don't warp under normal baking conditions. The metal is fairly thick and sturdy.

The silicon grips are cool enough to safely handle without gloves just a few minutes after coming out of the oven. The silicon grips also make it safer by providing friction -the sheets won't easily slip out of your hands. This is a major plus.

After using these cookies sheets, I just bought two of the Anolon bread pans. The dough sticks to the new Food Network pans even when spraying with oil and dusting with flour. That's about thirty dollars thrown away.

Here's what is written on the back of the Anonlon cookie sheet label which you don't get to see until you pry it off.

"Keep small children away from the oven while you are baking. Some pets have extremely sensitive respiratory systems and should be kept away from the kitchen area."

Why keep small children away from the oven? Because children are a safety hazard under any baking situation or because the non-stick surfaces are emitting toxic fumes? Should I keep the doors/windows open when I use this product? If one is concerned about the safety of non-stick coatings, stick to parchment paper and use ordinary non-stick cookie sheets.

"Avoid soaking pans overnight. Dry promptly and thoroughly after washing."

I'd love to know why drying drying promptly and thoroughly is necessary. I've never seen this before. Will the non-stick material peel off or toxic materials leach out?

"Although this bakeware is dishwasher safe, hand washing is recommended."

Gee, the front of the label says "Dishwasher suitable and oven safe to 500 degrees F". I hate it when products boldly state that they're dishwasher safe on the outside and the hidden instructions say you should wash by hand. The Lifetime Limited Warranty doesn't cover damage caused by use of automatic dishwashers. While I never put non-stick cookware into a dishwasher anyway, this duplicity annoys me.

This is not a criticism, but a comment. I didn't realize that they made a 14x16 cookie sheet. The larger size would allow me to complete a batch without having to use an extra sheet. If your oven is large enough, you might want to buy the larger sheets.

[Edit Jun 15, 11. The usable area of the Anolon 14x16 cookie sheet is actually less than the Anolon 11x17 cookie sheet since the 14x16 refers to the outer dimensions. The 11x17 refers to the usable area. Go figure. Don't buy the 14x16. Also, the 14x16 only has one silicon grip which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I bought two 14x16 cookie sheets and I sent them back the next day.]

We bought this to replace some aging baking trays in our kitchen and having owned the Anolon professional range of pans for several years we hoped for a good quality product in the same ilk. This is the first silverware set that I just wanted to stare at rather than use. The finish on it is so shiny and perfect even months later they're just attractive! I will never settle for anything less than 18/10 silverware ever again. The difference is astonishing.

I would buy these again. I'd like to note that if you're doing anything "hardcore" like trying to dig ice cream out of a bucket, the square edges on the stem, while not sharp, will probably cause a degree of discomfort. In my opinion, the effect is minor compared to the positive aspects of this set.

This is a wonderful, well-built cast iron bell. I bought this to hang at my outside gate. We usually keep the gate locked because of our dogs, and not all our friends know how to unlock the gate...so now they can ring the bell when they arrive. Now, here is an example of innovative Joseph Joseph company at their best. This is a fantastic, thinking outside the box product that any person that cooks will appreciate.

First it is a very nice, light silicone whisk. With a light flick of the wrist it quietly functions effectively either opened or closed. The non-stick, non-scratching silicone is easy to maintain and seems resistant to deforming also.

The twist and fold feature adds wonderful extra value by making it storable in a flat drawer with most other kitchen utensils rather than upright and handle down in a tool bin where whisks inevitably tangle with other implements. The mechanism is so simple, yet ingenious!

It comes in a nice lime green and white colour, which matches my kitchen decor, and the handy end cap which is the rotation control also pops out which disassembles the whisk for cleaning. This is a something that I daresay most other whisks cannot do, which has been a minor peeve of mine, thinking of the unwashed residue that must accumulate in other whisk handles.

Should you wish to hang your whisk, for example for drying, the end cap also has a pass-through hole for that.

Ok, it's not rocket science, but heck, nobody else had improved on the basic whisk design for decades. It even looks quite beautiful, graceful... organic, and could almost be a piece of modern art.

I received it and noticed it was bigger than i expected this also made it flimsier.for some thing so spousedly space saving, it takes up a lot of drawer space. I was hoping to get rid out my other whisks and have more room in my drawer, but this won't allow that to happenjust from a size standpoint.

It also doesn't seem strong enough to whip whipped cream too stiff point the way I like it.

This cover does fit the "16 inch Traditional Cast Iron Wok" by Wok Shop much better than the Lid for 16" Wok (dome lid 18 gauge) Made in USA.

The latter lid does not fit correctly it is too small.

The Winco cover comes unassembled, and the handle is secured by two screws. The handle does not heat up appreciably (I haven't noticed it), and this cover is much easier to manipulate than the lid that has only one screw in the center.

If you are wondering about the clip-like object in the photo, apparently it is a hanger loop for storing the cover on a hook on the wall. The clip is spot-welded to the cover and has not presented a problem.

Mauviel Brass Cookware Rack Reviews

If you are hanging pots and pans, get an Enclume brass bar, which has the strength, ridigity and weight for heavy loads and which comes in 18 to 48 inch lengths, at 6 inch intervals. I have a 36 and 48 inch Enclume bars and they do not flex under load. This Mauviel bar flexes a bit just with light utensils.

The photos do not do this utensil strip justice. The gleam of the highly polished brass is causing glare in all the photos -even the photos on Amazon.fr! The real thing has a rich gold glow. The quality of polish is outstanding -It is even better than the best of Enclume and far better than any other brass I own.

This strip should be mounted in a conspicuous place, like under the hood and above the stove or under the upper cabinets on either side of the stove. The hooks are good for utensils, for anything with a wire loop or for anything with an oval cut or stamped hole. These hooks are not large enough for cups. I wouldn't hang anything heavier than a colander from it, owing to slight flex in the solid brass bar.

Don't buy it unless the cost is under $60: It is just a beautiful solid brass strip, a couple of pretty cast wall hangers, several stamped and polished brass hooks and common hardware. $40 would be the fair price, even at today's high brass prices. You could fabricate it all, minus the cast brass wall hangers, out of common brass stock costing about $30, but you'd have to spend hours drilling and cutting the sliding hooks out of flat stock and several more hours bringing it all to a high gloss luster on a polishing wheel. You could save yourself a lot of money, if your own time is worth less than $2/hour!

In my application, I bought two (at a slightly more than fair price) and had to cut one of the bars to length with a hack saw. That was an easy cut which also PROVED that it was solid brass -very rare in these days of plated metals. Even Enclume is plated, but it is the best plate method: First they electroplate steel with chrome, polish the chrome, electroplate again in brass, and polish the brass. This gives an extremely rich, deep, glossy brass, which is better than everything, excepting this singular Mauviel solid brass strip.

I mounted a 36 inch strip inside the back of the stove hood (flashy looking -stands out ten feet away!). The other two 18 inch sections are mounted on the back under lip of the adjacent upper cabinets. They are used to hang the most useful and best looking of German, French, Swiss utensils with loops on their handles, as well as a one cup measure (you don't really need a 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 3/4 cup measure once you get used to just judging those volumes in a one cup measure) and a ring of measuring spoons. I can feel flex to the strip even with this light load, so you can imagine how bad it would be to load a narrow non-rigid strip with real and expensive pots and pans.

I have owned this toaster for about two months now and am very pleased with the toast I get from it. It seems to be almost impossible to find a toaster these days that will toast bread evenly and consistently. This one not only does the job, but is also reasonably priced.

I have used the "bagel" setting for English muffins and it works well, toasting just the inside surface of the muffin while warming the crust side. Bread is evenly toasted on both sides. It doesn't matter which slot I use, the toast is consistently the same degree of "brown." Each pair of slots has its own set of controls, so you can toast to different degrees of "brown" at the same time. The "frozen" setting works with frozen bread as it should. In short, this toaster does exactly what it's supposed to.

I have only two criticisms. First, it takes a long time to get the job done. That is ameliorated somewhat by the fact that there are four slots, making it twice as fast as a two-slot toaster. To toast bread to a medium-brown takes about 3:30 (minutes:seconds) on setting number five. The settings go to six, which yields a smoking, almost black, piece of toast after 4:30. If you want your toast truly black, you'll have to use the "frozen" setting.

My other criticism is its size. Check the dimensions and make sure that you can live with them. This toaster is large.

Edit: I have found one more criticism, but it still doesn't affect my opinion that this is an excellent toaster. When the toast pops up, it isn't raised high enough. The toaster will allow you to lift the toast another half-inch or so, but unless you are toasting a full-sized piece of bread (think English muffin) you will not be able to reach it without a tool. This is an annoyance, but I just stab the muffin with my butter knife and pull it out.

All in all, an excellent toaster. I'd buy it again.

I received this toaster for Christmas and was pretty excited about using it. I mean it looks great and I have a soft spot for little blue lights on things (mental note to make therapy appointment). Fast forward to my reaction after firing this baby up for a family breakfast ACK!.

Ok..to be fair the toaster looks cool albeit a little bulky so that's a star in it's favor. It also has a "bagel" setting which earns it another star but that's where the generosity ends.

A brief description of that morning. Hmm...toaster setting goes from 1 to 6 so I'll use 4 because I like my toast brown. Insert toast. La la la la wait excruciatingly long time. Ah ha toast pops up..or kind of..this toast doesn't event come up to the top of the toaster ACK! First instinct is to grab metal fork and dig out my treasure toast. ~Flash back to past episodes of Americas Dumbest Videos or some such~ Decide that's not a great idea so I unplug toaster and retrieve toast (or what should have been toast). The bread showed no browning at all with a slightly dehydrated crustiness on the surface. Ok...well...attempt number two on setting number 5 which theoretically should be a fairly dark setting but cooked the toast to the almost brown look I wanted. This also resulted in waiting an unbearable length of time to finish. Now considering myself a pro at operating this less than noble beast I moved on to english muffins. Great news! It toasted just one side like it was supposed to! Not so great news..had to use same high number 4 setting to achieve any color AND had to unplug toaster and dig out said muffins with metal utensils which, regardless of a disconnected power supply, still caused me to twitch nervously during the process.

One star for appearance, one star for features.

Minus one star for performance, minus one star for making me twitch and minus one star for an overall disappointing toaster....

The toaster came quickly enough and looked great, but only 2 of the 4 slots worked. After contacting Black and Decker and following their instructions to the letter, I have yet to see (nearly 2 months later) the replacement toaster they promised. If I had know I would just be throwing away $50, I would gladly have spent more for a Kitchen Aid or Krups or whatever brand would actually stand behind their product.

I haven't owned a regular toaster in a long time, but wanting more counter space, I decided to go from a toaster oven (which I only used for toasting purposes) to a regular toaster.

This one looks nice on the counter, is not too big, and I really like to cool touch exterior (though the very top gets hot) because I have young children. They are able to use the toaster without any problems.

I love the bagel toasting feature, which warms the outside of the bagel and toasts the cut side. The toasting is consistent, so once you find a good setting, you can stick with that.

I also love the lift up feature, though it does not lift up enough for those mini bagels my kids love. The need to use wooden tongs to get them out. If it weren't for that, I'd give this toaster 5 stars.

Also, another reviewer commented about a burning smell. We experienced this as well, but after three or four uses, it went away. I am sure this was because the unit was new, not due to any defect.

This toaster is decent enough. It goes well with all the stainless steel appliances in my kitchen. It toasts decetly weel. The only thing is the top body heats up lot more that my previous " toastmaster" toaster. it is not a big deal as i am careful, and my kids are too young to play with it.

I would recommend it.

I got the Wilton set, with muffin pan, cake pan, loaf pan. The first time I used it, the smell from the oven was overwhelmingly sickening, very chemical. I thought it was because I hadn't washed it first. After washing, it was the same. As soon as it heats up in the oven, it starts to STINK. SO I did some searching on the internet quickly found out that you really want silicone bakeware that is 100% silicone. Cheaper brands use plastic fillers which causes the odor during baking. Turns out you can tell easily by twisting a bit of the silicone if it turns whitish, it's got plastic fillers. Pure silicone will retain it's color. The Wilton immediately turns whitish when twisted. The smell while it's hot is just nasty. I'll be returning these today I may exchange for a higher quality and give silicone another chance. ALSO note that silicone is NOT non-stick it is stick resistant but the manufacturers all still recommend greasing. Wilton says it clearly on their website.

I love this thing! I will order more. Four of them fill up my oven neatly, but I could probably fit six if I tried.

One big muffin often doesn't get fully eaten by active little people. These little muffins are just right for a bite. They clean up well, no silicone smell; and it's just so much fun turning out perfect muffins -no need for paper liners, no sticking, a baking Mom's delight! Another reviewer said that this leaves a plastic taste. I have not found this to be so. Make sure you wash the muffin pan before first use, of course.

I have the silicone baking sheets and love them. Easy clean up. Since I make so many muffins and cupcakes, I was hoping this would be an alternative to buying paper cup inserts (I wanted to be greener). While this product works, what I hated was that it's so flexible that putting it in the oven filled with batter is difficult. It bends and I have to shove it in awkwardly. I tried putting the flex pan inside my metal pan, but it didn't fit quite right.

Now, I'm placing it on a cookie sheet. It's fixed the problem, but the product didn't work as well as I would have wanted it, too. I have now purchased the individual baking cups to put into my old muffin tins.

We don't actually bake in this, but use it to freeze things into small portions for easier vacuum sealing. Cooked beans, coconut milk, chicken broth, etc, freeze quickly and just pop right out.
