First off, I am a fan of all Anolon products, but this griddle is wonderful. Cook multiple sandwiches at one time, on one pan. Cook a single giant omelette with different fillings at the top, middle, and bottom sections for guests. It heats up quite nicely and fairly evenly considering the middle is not on a burner. I use this far more than I expected and would recommend it to anyone. Several guests I've cooked for have gone on to buy one for themselves after seeing the varied practical uses for it.

Wonderful griddle. Heats evenly for making great bacon, eggs, and pancakes. Non-stick surface really is non-stick and cleans up easily. Could not be happier with this product.

It's really hard to find lids this size. My wife bought a similar lid from another listing for $18, but it was super flimsy. A cover this big needs to be stiff or it's going to bend. This one is super solid and really nice, and cheaper than the other lid even with shipping!

I confess I can't understand why it is so inexpensive. It far exceeded my expectations and I'm super happy to finally have a good lid for one of my favorite pans. Strongly recommend!

I really do not want to scratch up the sides of my expensive cookware, but they are rather annoying to use with functioning cookware. When unfolded these things are huge, they are easily able to protect everything in my oversized Americraft set (including the stock pots,) however they are unruly and cumbersome when it comes to getting out individual pots and pans. That said, on the pro side; they are easily big enough for almost any pan save maybe a 10qt stock pot, they are thick enough to protect your pans from scratching each other, and the "wings" fold inward for storage in a relatively small foot print.

I have this expensive pots and pans set, and want to take care of it. These protectors are doing a great job, no scratches on top, underneath or on the edges. Loving it! I got a couple and love the sizes, they dont seems to get bad if get a little wet wither. Really cool idea. I guess you can make your own too, but this material seems durable and the padding is really good.

I love these for all the reasons that ramekins are good for but I seem to be constantly going to them as pots for my salt, pepper, cumin, and herbs when cooking. I do the prep work, add the salt, grind fresh pepper, shake out or grind some cumin seeds and chop up herbs and use the four workbowls as just that instead of ramekins. Thanks so much!!!!!

Truly Japanese style, only 10 eggs, not 12. Well made, but nothing special. Yellow insert can be removed for storage of other items. We use to keep boiled eggs separate from raw eggs. As seen in picture eggs don't nest deeply in holes, but we haven't dropped any out yet. Don't know about stackable as we only bought one.

I've used a lot of non-stick pans over the years, and sooner or later they've eventually started sticking or flaking off Teflon coatings. Generally I'd gotten cheaper pans and put up with the flaking into my food.

I researched pans a bunch on Amazon back in 2009, and decided to swing for some higher-end cookware, hoping that it meant durability would be better. After about two years of use, our All-Clad Master Chef 2 Nonstick 10-Inch Fry Pan started flaking on the top edge despite being fanatically careful about making sure it didn't get too hot, not using metal utensils anywhere near it, using any sort of abrasive pad washing it, or even washing it before the pan had cooled down. This correlated with the reviews I'd read, and the replacement process sounded like I'd be out of a pan for weeks, plus I wanted to get away from PFOE coatings.

We next bought a Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 10-1/4-Inch Skillet with Iron Handle, Red, which became our go-to pan, but despite all of the reviews swearing they were great for eggs, I've generally had to make an intended omelet into scrambled eggs because of sticking (even if I used a generous portion of butter or olive oil).

I started searching for PFOE-free pans after once again making a scramble, and stumbled across the Woll Nowo. The thing is bombproof. Titanium is awesome. Metal utensils is no biggie. It's a little slow to heat but like the Le Creuset, once it gets going it retains heat incredibly well. The pan cooks more evenly than the All-Clad. The detachable handle comes off easily, and can be put back on easily. I've cooked frittatas with it on the stovetop and then finished it in the oven, and it's all an easy motion. Be a little careful as the base of the handle can get pretty toasty after cooking for awhile.

Eggs never, ever stick. You can use less oil/butter/you name it, as nothing I've cooked in the last 2 months has managed to stick to it. Stuff I thought of as tricky is now cake. Omelets are a snap. This last weekend I made crepes in them, never needed butter or oil to coat the pan.

And given that the pan right now is almost $20 cheaper than the All-Clad, I feel silly for having put out more for something less durable.

Best frying pan I've ever owned, full stop.

There really isn't much to say. Except for the price, there is NOTHING bad about this frying pan. I liked it so much I went and bought the saute pan with lid.

I like it even more than that paper towel holder with rubber grips on the bottom so you can one hand tear it properly every time. And I _really_ like that thing.

It is a great product, doctors told us to cut the oil consumption and this product exactly does that you can still keep your food delicious by using the fraction of oil recommended in a recipe, can cook multiple times without worrying to clean each time after cooking, heavy bottom so food does not burn.

I've given this a good rating because I remember using my mom's eons ago, and I was happy to see that I could order one for myself decades later! But I goofed up. I didn't take into consideration the DIAGONAL measurement of this item, and it's too big to TURN in my microwave. So... make sure YOUR microwave has at least 16 inches of clearance inside if you want your bacon to spin. Duh.

UPDATE, ONE YEAR LATER: I did buy a smaller version of this tray, but I decided I like cooking bacon in the oven way better than the 'wave, even though it takes more time. Get a baking sheet with a cooling rack that fits inside (very cheap at a restaurant supply) and lay the bacon strips on top. Put it into a cold oven and set for 400 degrees. It takes about 15-20 minutes, but the results are crispier, flatter, and yummier (especially if you brush the strips with maple syrup the last few minutes of cooking). All the drippings are caught in the tray, which you can pour into a container pretty easily. Pork fat rules!

The tray works well enough. However, it would drain better if the feet were taller on the top end so that it was higher than the end with the collection area. I do like using the tray for defrosting.

I was gifted this tea pot from my mom a couple years ago. It was a Gevalia promotion that she had gotten with tea. I used it *DAILY* for a couple years.

Pros:

Water boils quickly.

Whistle is just right, not too loud or too quiet.

It looks nice enough to be left out all the time.

Tips: Drain the water completely. Leaving water in it for a long time can make it rust. Don't go above medium heat and you will lengthen the life of this tea pot.

I accidently set my too hot tea pot on a cheap trivet and melted the trivet to the bottom. I searched high an low, and finally found that Amazon carried this one. So I purchased it hoping it would be the exact same one, and it is! It still has the great quality and quick boil time. I've been using this one, again daily, for a couple of months and it is still in perfect condition!

I can't emphasize enough Buyer Beware! Beware of most off-brands these days, even those touting "stainless".

Because they're sinFULLy stainFULL rather than stainless.

This kettle developed rust stains on the inside base corners, after a couple years of use. By then it was too late to return it to a local store. You better believe, I was furious at the ripoff.

Another off-brand example of stainFULL is the "Chefman" electric kettle. Just read some of the reviews and see. I'm so thankful to those reviewers for bringing it to my attention, since they helped me avoid a repeat-letdown of my CreativeHome experience.

Sorry, but rust is NOT supposed to happen to stainless steel! Nor should you be required to swab it down! After all, I have another stainless kettle by a well-known brand (complete with GH seal of approval) which really had alot of use, yet never developed rust stains despite not "babysitting" it.

Yeah, I use the term babysit because it reminds me of diapering a baby. So if you feel like owning kettles which you need to diaper every so often, you'll find that both Creative & Chefman (and no doubt lots more imported junk) meet your requirements.

Good quality tea kettles are very hard to find. I read a lot of product reviews before making my purchase and this one has lived up to the reviews. This kettle is a nice large size and the satin finish hides the fingerprints and marks that show up on kettles with a polished finish.

This pan is great!!! It requires minimal or no oil, heats up quickly, and retains the heat well. I'd highly recommend it!

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Woll's main catalogue for the USA claims that this pan has a 10mm thick bottom. It does not. It's more like 5 mm thick. It feels lightweight and cheap.

As Woll states (see below), thicker pans distribute heat much more evenly, and thicker pans will not warp. Thinner pans always seem to warp quickly, even if you religiously avoid temperature shocks and cook only on medium, and a warped or distorted pan is a problem on a glass top. Warping and heat distribution are issues for me. I wanted a thick pan. I will return this pan for the titanium, which is claimed to be 8 mm thick.

Woll's erroneous/false claims, which I relied upon, can be found in their catalogue on their website or you can get to that portion of their site by searching for "Main catalogue USA Canada WOLL cookware".

Sample quotes from Woll's current catalogue:

"The pan series Diamond's Best was awarded a Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva as far back as 1999. The ultra-hard coating with embedded diamond crystals applied to the approximately 0.4" (10 mm) thick pan body possesses outstanding non-stick properties...."

Also, in the same catalogue: "Approximately 0.4" /10 mm thick cast bottom for optimum thermal absorption and no distortion, even at high temperatures."

As I mentioned above, I was looking for "no distortion" and for "optimal thermal absorption." NOT happening with this pan.

Review of Beer Can Roaster - Stainless Steel BBQ Beer Can Chicken Roaster

Beer Can Roaster - Stainless Steel BBQ Beer Can Chicken Roaster with Instructions and Recipes
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars

This beer roaster is amazing. We have a $100 rotisserie that we rarely used because it takes up a lot of counter space and it's too hard to clean. This simple device has replaced that clunky inconvenient machine. Now we're cooking a big chicken dinner every weekend.

The first time we used the Beer Roaster, we tried a bland Miller Genuine Draft beer. The chicken came out moist, but flavorless. After some trial and error, we found a perfect recipe.

We pick a beer with lots of flavor. Our current preference is a dark Sam Adams brew like Black Lager or Brown Ale. We then add in a big spoonful of honey. Make sure you rinse off the chicken and pat it dry inside and out with paper towels. We then apply a dry rub to the outside of the chicken (any good rub you pick-up at the grocery store should be fine). A 6-pound chicken cooks for about 2 hours at 375 degrees. Once it's done cooking, let it sit for about 10 minutes so the juices can settle down.

Everyone raves about the flavor. There's never any leftovers. It's so much better than those lousy pre-cooked chickens at the grocery. The Beer Roaster is the best kitchen gadget we've ever bought.

No more wrestling a hot chicken off of an equally hot beer can! The 18/10 stainless steel construction is sturdy, and the tube is just the right size which makes taking the chicken off a breeze. The beer roaster is a one piece unit with a base that provides ample support for the bird to rest on.

I am not knocking the beer can method, but this roaster is even better. The roaster comes with a few sample recipes if you want to put something other than beer in the base. The possibilities are endless.

Best Deals for Beer Can Roaster - Stainless Steel BBQ Beer Can Chicken Roaster

Original Review follows (Updated review follows orig...)

I filled with water after removing the item from the packaging.

I wiped the base dry with a paper towel.

Within one minute, I probably had a Tablespoon of water that had leaked onto the base plate.

I filled out online the form for a replacement and Amazon is ready to send a new one out (no charge) I also printed out a label for return shipping that Amazon created.

I have 30 days for them to receive the defective item before being charged for the second or replacement item.

I will follow up when received on the condition of the second roaster.

I have cooked beer can chicken before and yes it is moist and tasty.

I knew the size of the item, but was still shocked to see the size of it...appeared small. But could be a good thing if you were trying to cook two chickens at the same time.

The diameter of the 'can' is smaller than that of a can of soda...thus it will be easier to insert into the chicken.

//

Update two days later:

Received the second or replacement item in two days from Amazon.

It worked just fine until I tried to clean it. I placed a dish rag loosely into the can to clean...holding onto the square base and turning on the disk rag, I felt a snap. Part of the bottom of the can separated from the plate. Does NOT leak though. I sent it back also.

It turns out the item is made of three pieces.

The cylinder (can) is made of stainless steel.

The bottom of the can has a steel plug (not stainless...magnetic) connected somehow to the cylinder. I suspect either glued or jammed into the bottom. I DO NOT KNOW. But I see no spot welding marks.

Then the plug is spot welded to the base which also is NOT stainless steel (again magnetic material like steel).

One final note. With the chicken resting on top of the can, the top of the can is near the top of the neck. So I am not sure how much moisture and flavor stays inside the chicken.

I will stick with my Fox Run brand.

I have on order two stainless cups or tumblers that I will see how they work within the Fox Run wire cage.

I purchased this saucepan specifically for heating goat milk prior to making goat yogurt. It heats excellently, the milk doesn't stick to the bottom, there are no rivets on the inside of the pan (for the handle) for the milk to get stuck to like my other pans, and the added bonus of this pan is that it has a pour spout on both sides making it extremely easy to pour the milk into the yogurt maker container without all the spillage I used to experience from other pans. It also is made of stainless steel so it doesn't have all the chemicals that Teflon pans (which can cause cancer)do. This pan would be great for any other cooking too such as cooking soup, vegetables (easy strainer lid), etc.

Great features: Lid handle and pot handle both cool to touch, no potholder needed; glass lid with holes matching pouring spouts on both sides of pot; Easy maintenance; Heavy bottom. Need more sizes available with all the same features. Only cons are: Pot top not snug to pot-about 1/4" smaller diameter; SS does stain to minor degree at the level of the cooking liquid; but in spite of these, it works fine.

Best Deals for Norpro KRONA 1.5 Quart Vented Sauce Pan with Straining Lid

This sauce pan is a real nice buy.. it heats real fast, and the straining lid and the pour spouts on either side of the pan is a great idea. For soups and sauces, you dont need a ladel or serving spoon.. Just pour it. This makes things so easy. I want the rest of the set.

Honest reviews on Norpro KRONA 1.5 Quart Vented Sauce Pan with Straining Lid

This is a comparative review of the "Norpro KRONA 1.5 Quart Vented Sauce Pan with Straining Lid" (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000E2PO3/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) vs. the "Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless Cook and Pour Saucepan with Cover [2 qt.]" (http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-719-18P-Classic-Stainless-Saucepan/dp/B000E5CW84/ref=pd_sim_k_3)

Background: I was using a conventional 1.5 qt. pot to make tea (was previously using this glass tea pot, with infuser, but decided the infuser didn't give the tea leaves room to fully expand, plus I broke one too many of them: http://www.amazon.com/GROSCHE-Infuser-included-infuser-capcity/dp/B004PV7IDW/ref=pd_sim_hg_6). I'd make the tea and then pour it through a strainer into my Klean Kanteen 40 oz wide-mouth bottle. With the 1.5 qt. pot, with 40 oz. of water, there was just enough height to the rim (5/8") to allow me to stir without spilling. But a straining saucepan is much more convenient, so I ordered the Norpro, was unsatisfied with the design, and thus returned it and bought the Cuisinart, which I've kept. Both have flaws:

DESIGN: CUISINART WINS:

For me, the principal problem with the Norpro is the spout. First, unlike with the Cuisinart, the spout design on the Norpro causes a small loss in capacity, which for me was a problem. Specifically, on the Norpro the rim dips ¼" at the spout (the Cuisinart's rim is the same level everywhere). Since I was filling it almost to capacity, I got spillage with the Norpro (where I didn't with my conventional 1.5 qt. pot). If you don't need the full 1.5 quarts, this would not be an issue for you. Of course, the Cuisinart also has a larger capacity (2 qt.), but the point is that it is designed so that, unlike the Norpro, you don't lose any capacity because of the presence of the spout.

Second, and of more general concern, is that the spout on the Norpro is very wide (the Cuisinart's is narrow). With both the Norpro and the Cuisinart, when the pot is tipped onto its side to fully empty it into my Klean Kanteen botttle, the tea leaves (as expected) pile up again the holes and partly block those in the center. With the Cuisinart's narrow spout, this isn't an issue I still get a nice, narrow stream into my bottle. However, with the Norpro's wide spout, the stream splits into two, making it impossible to avoid spilling over the side of my bottle. If you are pouring into a bowl, this would not be an issue. But if you are pouring into something with a narrower mouth, the Norpro may not work for you.

In addition, I find the Cuisinart's solid handle more comfortable than the Norpro's bent rod design, but this is personal preference.

There are, however, two design areas in which the Norpro has the edge: (1) Because of its welded handle, it doesn't have rivet heads on the inside of the pot, making for easier cleaning; and (2) I think the Norpro has a somewhat more elegant look the Cuisinart's appearance is a bit clunkier.

One design flaw with both of these is that there's a narrow shelf under the periphery of the lid, right where the steel side meets the glass top. Food can get caught in there when you pour, and a toothbrush is needed to clean it out.

CONSTRUCTION AND QUALITY CONTROL: NORPRO APPEARS TO WIN

The Cuisinart is clearly made to a price point -it doesn't appear to have quite the build quality of the Norpro. First, Cuisinart's production control is not the best, resulting in inter-unit variation in the quality of the rivet attachments. I purchased the Cuisinart locally, and two of the three they had in stock showed very small gaps between the edges of the rivet heads and the inner surface of the pot, into which food could enter; on the third, the rivets mated more closely to the surface, so I bought that one. Second, the Cuisinart's stainless steel is of low quality it easily develops rust spots (I've never seen rust spots with my other stainless steel cookware), forcing me to do extra maintenance with using Bon Ami. I should add, though, that as soon as I figured out the Norpro wouldn't work for me, I returned it. Thus I never put it in the dishwasher, or left it covered with water inside, like I did the Cuisinart hence it's possible the Norpro might also fall short in this second area (that's why I wrote "appears" to win).

I looked for a while for a 1.5 qt pot. I wanted a see-through lid. It would be used for cooking sauces, vegetables, reheating food, canned soup... It had to be well made.

This pot did all that and it also could strain the vegetables. I didn't have to get out the strainer. And it is easily to clean.

I use it all the time.

My only comment is that the lid does not fit tight on the pot. It's not for cooking rice or anything like that. But for me, I use a larger pot for those things.

I love these pans! I saw the StoneDine infomercials and wanted to replace my aging teflon set. But I didn't want to pay over a hundred bucks for an 11-inch frying pan. Last November, I found the 12-inch Marble Ware frying pan on Amazon for just under $39. The pan amazed me. It can handle high heat, doesn't stain, and cleans up ridiculously easy. At less than half the price of the StoneDine equivalent, this was a no-brainer!

I did read one bad review about the chemical DEHP being in the non-stick coating, but I have not been able to verify the claims made by the reviewer, including the fact that she said there was a warning label on the pan stating that the nonstick coating contains DEHP and to "use at your own risk." Trust me, I really tried. The reason I'm replacing my teflon is that they leech highly toxic gases when more than medium heat is applied to them. The EPA has a scheduled ban on teflon in cookware to begin in 2015, unless the industry can figure out a way to keep it from breaking down under heat. Ceramic coated cookware appears to be the post-teflon future.

Because of my experience with the 11-incher, I purchased the 8-inch omelette pan and the 13-inch wok. They appear to have a slightly different finish and design, but they are essentially identical in performance. My 11-incher has the trademark "Joy Cook" on the bottom and a completely black handle. The other pans have "KW" on the bottom and a chrome insert on the handle. Although I purchased them all through Amazon, my 11-incher (Joy Cook)was from M.V. Trading Company, and all the others(KW)were from SmartDeals411.

I'm not a professional cook. I'm just a single guy that wants stuff that works well and is easily maintained. Unlike most ceramic coated cookware, these are completely coated, inside and out, making clean up easier than any other pan I have ever used.

I have been using this skillet for a couple of weeks now. Everything that I have cooked in this pan has caused sticking problems in my well seasoned cast iron, none of it has even come close to sticking in this skillet. I would recommend this skillet to anyone in need of a good nonstick pan.

Works better then an OrGreenic, Yoshi, and any Teflon Pan., Ceramic Marble is just that and works 10 times better then the before mentioned. Great heat dispersion also. This is just my opinion and I'm writing this because in order to leave a review I must have a certain amount of words in my review. Really!!! AYFKM. Jusy Saying.

Honest reviews on Ceramic Marble Coated Non Stick Cast Aluminium Fry Pan with Lid, 20

I have owned several non-stick skillets and frying pans previously, but none of them came close to the quality of this ceramic marble coated non-stick cast aluminium pan. After using it for a couple of weeks I returned to Amazon.com and bought the pot version of the pan made by the same Korean manufacturer. I have seen the "As Seen on the TV" ceramic skillets but they are not made with the same layers of materials that make this skillet tough, truly non-stick, and a breeze to clean. Also, I prefer to buy from Amazon.com because you know exactly how much the item costs, including shipping charge, and the purchase is protected by Amazon.com, should something go wrong. I recommend this skillet for anyone looking for a true non-stick, tough, and easy to clean cookware.

I've used a lot of different types of cookware through the years---cast iron, clad cast iron, aluminum clad, teflon coated, etc (both lower and higher priced). The FLAME TOP series are the only ones that can go in the oven, on the stove top, in the fridge, microwave, etc. Fantastic heat distribution with no hot spots or burning. Extremely easy to keep clean. Due to higher cost, I've accumulated a set over the recent past and have donated all of my other cookware! Buy one and try it, you WILL be amazed!

A neat, fairly light-weight little pot. Well-made, rugged. Perfect for soups, stews, etc., but you'll need the next size up if you're cooking for more than two.

I was sceptical when I bought my first one of these. I was very worried about the price-quality ratio. However, I was really impressed with the performance of my first one -so much so that I am gradually adding to my collection. A lower price would achieve this faster, but they are very good cooking and serving vessels.

This is a nice pot. I saw Jacques Pepin cooking with one and it was such a beautiful red color and the soup he was preparing looked great. The pot is supposed to be microwave & stove top safe.

A great product that can and in this household will be used often. Great for gas ranges and in oven baking. A dutch oven that has superior heating qualities compared to caste iron. Superior to metal loaf pans for baking bread. Have not broken or chipped this product yet and hope it is as tough as the John Deere tractors I use on the farm. But it is clay and I'm hard on my tools. If it holds up for five, maybe six or even more years, I wouldn't live without one. My aluminum and iron pots are seeing little activity while this product is in constant use.
