just used the "back to basics 220 strainer" and the results were wonderful

the machine is well built, and the instructions were made designed the way you could follow them easily. most products i buy, the instructions do not have empathy for the user who must assemble and use the product.

it worked great on the tomatoes. the seeds, peels and core came out the "discard end" and the pure "pulp juice" came out the front. i processed 200 tomatoes without a problem. bang for the buck, you can't beat the production this machine will give you the tomato season

This model was recommended by a family member who has had theirs for years. It is a solid machine that will definitely last. Processing food is extremely quick--just as an example, a gallon of cooked apples can be turned into applesauce in less than five minutes.

One thing to consider is where you will store this machine. Because of the awkward size and shape, the only option is to clean it and put it back in its box, which probably takes up a cubic foot of space.

I've uploaded a short video to show how easy it is to assemble and use the B2B food strainer and sauce maker. The machine does an excellent job on applesauce, tomato sauce, salsa (I love to roast the tomatoes, garlic, onions, and hatch chilis for an incredibly delicious salsa). This is great for anyone interested in making simple delicious food, purees, pumpkin, canning, jelly, etc. I have a foley food mill but find this so much easier to crank and use.

My first Back to Basics Food Strainer arrived damaged. The product box was sorely lacking in padding material and the metal handle had shattered the white plastic squirt guard. This was an issue with the product packaging and not Amazon's packaging. Amazon immediately sent a replacement and the replacement was in perfect shape (despite the lousy packaging material again).

The strainer works like a charm. My tomato harvest is at 140 pounds now and still going strong, so the strainer has been getting a lot of use. It definitely has been saving me tons of time.

My only concern is with the durability of the product. I don't like all of the plastic parts, particularly the thin and seemingly brittle clear plastic spout, which has to be SNAPPED onto the screen. Let me guess which will be the first part to go! Also, the shaft is not stainless steel and tends to get rust spots if not fastidiously dried.

When I searched for tomato strainers it seemed like they all had the same issues (cheap plastic parts) so this model is really no better or worse than the others. Just wish SOMEONE would build these things for durability.

When you dry the pot with a paper towel the towel is turns black. Washed the pot with strong detergent and boiled it several times but each time the paper towel turns black when drying the pot. This pot is made in China and is not safe for food preparation. When wiping a stainless steel pot there should be no residue left behind on the towel.

It is really too tall for my stove and sink, but I can still use it just fine. I like the way the base works in terms of spreading heat and cooking well. Pops popcorn very nicely.

However, it began to corrode just a little around the top edge on its first use. It hasn't gotten worse, but I still don't like that. The lid fits poorly on the spaghetti insert, which is useless for spaghetti. Without the insert it is not a bad spaghetti pot. The spaghetti insert is poorly shaped as well, that's why the lid fits poorly. The lid fits fine on the pot itself.

I think this review got more helpful votes than any other I've written. Thanks for those who noted that.

Anyway, I still use the pot, though not for popcorn. It has not corroded any more than it did right away. I have burned stuff in the bottom and scoured it clean again. The lid continues to fit poorly, almost to the point of falling into the pot. I rarely use the strainers, though I do steam veggies in it sometimes, and that works fine.

So it is a cheap workhorse pot, poorly made and low quality, but functional. I wouldn't expect to have it for many years or anything, as I plan to replace it with something better when I get the chance.

I was truly impressed With this pot. Well built Heavy stainless steel w/rivited handels not spot welded. Glass lid is vented and fits well. Stainless steamer fits nicely and has built in lift handels. Stainless collander fits pot w/ steamer on top w/ glass lid on top. All fits satisfactory. I washed cookware before use and after use with no problem what so ever. Not a spec of dark residue or any problem w/ cleanup. Great product at a great price. I have pots like this one that are at least 22 years old.

The reason I gave this five stars is the construction of this skillet beats some of my higher end cookware. For one thing this works perfectly on my glass top stove and evenly distributes heat. I tried a 'bargain' model and gave that away because it had hot and cold spots in the construction. Not so this one.

Another feature I love is this is oven safe (up to 350 degrees F). I use it to make frittata and tortilla de patatas and the non-stick ceramic lets me practically eliminate oil.

The ceramic is real porcelain, and interestingly the handle is steel, which inhibits the transfer of heat from the aluminum body. There is also a silicone coating for gripping.

Instructions claim that this is also safe for electric and gas stoves and is dishwasher safe. It's also very easy to clean by hand because the ceramic is truly non-stick. My big test was to make tortilla de patatas with only a light run of olive oil over the interior of the pan. Nothing stuck to the surface, so serving was easy and clean-up a breeze.

These work well...I was surprised to see how large they are...I have to cut or "crumple" them to fit into my French fry cones, which are standard size found at most kitchen accessory stores. I should have noticed in the picture that they are much longer on one side and I think that they stick out a little too much. Overall, I like these and they will definitely be used.

My wife and I had our first taste of Paella a year ago at a winery dinner party. We were really taken by surprise on how great this feast is! On researching Paella, I came across a lot of recipes, videos and supplies for making Paella. This La Paella Kit was reasonably priced, had the authentic rice, Saffron and Paprika, which is the base of any Paella. The stainless steel pan cleans up fairly easy and the ingredients really add vibrant flavor to the Paella. This 14" pan will serve 2 people with sufficient left overs, but, may be a bit skimpy for 4 people, depending on the appetites. Generally I find that food that tastes this good are heartily eaten. Might want to consider the 16" pan if you're going to cook for more that 2-3 people. I cook my paellas on a weber Summit Grill using the center burners plus the searing burner. Recommend you measure your grill to ensure the pan you buy will fit.

I love the handles; they have a silicone or similar material covering the stainless handle and are angled in a way that makes pouring much more comfortable than most department store pots and pans. Please do not buy pyrex bakeware. I had been a loyal Pyrex user for years, but this Christmas I put a brand new pyrex baking dish in the oven at 325 (an extremely low heat for cooking). About 40 minutes in, the dish exploded like a grenade. There was glass everywhere-on the walls of the oven, even tiny bits on the ceiling of the oven. When it happened mother had been about to open the door to check the progress of the dish we were cooking. If she had opened it when the dish exploded, I have no doubt she would have been severely injured.

Let me be clear: this pan did not crack into pieces, it blew up. When I told my mother-in-law, she said the same thing happened to a friend of hers. I called consumer safety and made a report. I also called Pyrex. They said, "that's unfortunate but sometimes glass breaks." Please, for your own safety don't buy this product or any of their other cookware. Frankly, I would avoid the measuring cups too, if you plan to put hot liquid in them.

I would have given this item no stars if that were possible.

I bought this about two years ago. I've used it about once a month or less. (Probably not even 20 times.)

Half an hour ago I opened the oven and tried to remove my roast when the dish EXPLODED in my hands.

At this moment, I'm sitting here furious with a burned wrist, a cut foot and a hungry family waiting for pizza. I have a $14.00 rump roast (with all the trimmings) in the garbage. My stove is dismantled and cooling in pieces. (I'm cooling off, too.) There is shattered glass and roast drippings all over my oven bottom and door and the floor.

I had cooked the roast for 1.25 hours at 375*. NOT an unreasonable expectation for a casserole dish.

Stick with metal, people!

(I can SMELL that perfect roast still! *grrrrr!!!*)

Since the original company was sold, these Pyrex products are no longer made the same. They can no longer go from freezer to oven. Mine literally exploded when it was taken out of the oven and placed on a cutting board. Shards of boiling hot glass shot in every direction and I was burned. My area rugs were destroyed from the hot glass melting them away. This is not only a defective products, it it potentially lethally dangerous and I recommended people reading up more on the injuries caused by this "new product." DO NOT BUY IT and if you do DO NOT PUT IT IN YOUR OVEN!

I have been looking for some time for a replacement griddle that would work well on my glass-top electric range. After shopping and reading dozens of reviews on multiple sites, I decided on this "KitchenAid Gourmet Non-stick 11 Square Griddle". The heavy-gauge Hard Anodized construction is very flat on the bottom and heavy enough to sit perfectly level on a glass top burner. It fits our Large (12 Inch)Burner setting on a combo size electric burner perfectly.

The handle is up a little from the cooking surface so it does not get hot and is comfortable with the silicone padding on the underside. It feels well balanced in the hand. It conducts heat evenly and holds the heat wellNO HOT and Cold spots on Medium setting. It's roomy enough for 4 grilled sandwiches, 4 large pancakes or 6 salmon patties, which is what I bought it for.

We are careful to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for use and care. We don't use high heat as it will warp the pan and we let it cool before cleaning. No non-stick spray is needed, just a little oil on the surface before each use and it works perfectly every time. Use lower heat and be patient for it to preheat and you will be happy with the results and the increased longevity of your griddle.

We use silicone spatulas only and we protect the interior when storing with other cookware.

After a long time searching, we are looking forward to many years of happy use with our Kitchen Aid Gourmet Griddle.

This is better than a lot of this same size griddle by other competitors in my opinion and so far it has not warped. It does come with instruction not to place it on high heat though. I think these square griddle are somewhat prone to warpage due to the shape. This one seems better thickness from what I've seen

After spending a bit of time trying to decide if I wanted this rack or not, I decided to make the jump and purchased the item.

When the package was delivered I looked at the bag of nuts and bolts and metal rods and thought to myself "oh great ... three hours of assembly" and went to get my power screwdriver.

After only 30 minutes or so the rack was fully assembled in my kitchen looking pretty darn good. The pot rack is sturdy and the graphite colored powder finish blends in nicely with my kitchen while helping me keep the clutter to a minimum.

The only thing that needs improving is the assembly method connecting the upper half of the rack to the lower half. The two halves are bolted together with four screws on each support but there's enough play in the assembly that the rack kinks if you're not careful and ruins the straight line of the support. Doesn't seem to affect the strength of the rack but it's noticeable.

Aside from the aesthetic glitch, the rack is excellent.

I am Woman hear me roar!

After receiving the 60" Old Dutch pot stand in graphite from Amazon.com, I decided to wait a couple of weeks before I put it together since one reviewer seemed to have a difficult time with the assembly.

Today was my day and I had absolutely no problems putting the pot stand together. The important thing is for everyone to take a moment to read the directions, which are clear, simple and precise.

After opening the box and separating the parts, I sat down with a cup of coffee to review the assembly. I took my time, made sure that all parts were available (which they were) and within 45 minutes I had my new, beautiful pot stand. I say 45 minutes, because I occasionally sat down to take a moment for myself before I would start the next part. The pot stand is very level; not wobbly. The metal is nice and thick and the piece looks expensive.

The only advice I would give you since I speak from experience putting together cast iron furniture is: don't completely tighten up all the screws until after the entire piece is put together. Once you're satisfied with your assembly, then go ahead and really tighten the screws.

My pot stand is beautiful and sturdy! I put all my new beautiful color pieces of LeCreuset enamel cast iron cookware (which I also ordered from Amazon.com) on the stand and feel secure that it will remain sturdy.

The stand is large enough that you can fit quite a few large casseroles. skillets and saucepans, but it's small enough that you won't be taking up a large corner of your kitchen or dining area. The stand has beautiful curleques on the top where you could probably put potholders or aprons...I prefer to keep it simple. I have seen similar stands like this at a very famous cookstore in upscale malls for hundreds of dollars more. Amazon.com's price is right, not to mention free shipping.

The graphite color is beautiful...sort of a dark charcoal gray (almost but not quite black). The largest shelf starts at the bottom; the smallest at the top. My largest LeCreuset casserole is 5.5 quart but I feel sure that you could place a 9.5 or 11 quart casserole on the bottom shelf.

The stand would also look great with plants, books or dishes stacked on the levels.

Like other reviewers, I have seen a similar (but smaller) version of this pot rack at a local Sur La Table store. The Sur La Table pot rack is about a foot shorter...and costs $200!! I was able to assemble this pot rack in about 30 minutes--I didn't even have to ask my husband to help! It is a good weight and seems sturdy, even under the weight of 6 LeCreuset cast iron pieces. This rack is very upscale-looking and an excellent value for the price. You should get one!!

I bought this pot stand to put my stock pots and chili pots onto to free up space. It put together very quickly and seems very sturdy. It looks great. I only have one problem. The bottom shelf holds my 8 qt Le Cruset very well, but the next shelf up is a very tight fit for my taller and narrower Calphalon 8 quart. I have to fit it in just so to keep from scratching it. The rest of the other shelves get progressively narrower, too narrow for any more large pots. I am using it for my Calphalon, not for the larger pots that I wanted it for, and it is still a very tight fit to get the pots into place. I have to take them in and out very carefully in order to not scratch up the sides of my polished pots. Not it does look great, and works perfectly well for these pots, I just wish it were wider so that I could use it for my bigger pots, and you really can't beat the price. I am now looking for a bigger stand.

This is a simple metal stand that does a great job. The stand looks great in the corner of my kitchen and allows me to store my cooking items out of the way while still providing easy access.

Assembly was easy and made even easier with a power screwdriver -from box to stacked pans in about 30 minutes assembled on my kitchen table.

One improvement I would like to see, however, would be a better fit/join of the vertical supports which are sturdily built but allow a little movement between the two joined pieces. This resulted in the appearance of a slight crimp in the smooth vertical profile of the assembled unit. Only one support did this, however, and that's the support that got tucked into the corner.

Overall a very nice additional to my kitchen.
