Yes, this bowl is oval shaped, but slightly. It's very well made and the cherry color is beautiful. A really great serving bowl. I'm thinking of ordering another one in a different color.

I ordered two of these bowls, one red and the other white. They are very large, larger than what I had visualized. I baked a chicken tonight and used both, one as a cover. The chicken turned out delicious and succulent . I can see a lot of uses for these bowl, for cooking and serving . Glad I bought the two.
