We went to Disneyland and ever since the kids want everything in the shape of Mickey Mouse :-) We've used this a lot. We use it on sandwiches, with eggs and pancakes. My four-year-old son actually ate some egg because he loved eating it in this shape :-) I wish it would not be so sticky sometimes. I spray it with pam and it still sticks. It's not a huge problem though because I keep a butter knife handy and cut around the edges. I've learned to make sure the pan is very hot before I pour the egg or pancake batter so it doesn't ooze out of the mold. We love it! I would give it a five star if it wasn't for the sticking issue. We'd buy it again.

Best Disney's Mickey Mouse Egg Ring Deals
I am pleased with this Mickey Mouse egg ring. I use it for pancakes too and even use it to cut out a Mickey Mouse shape in my toddler's nutella & bread sandwiches (just rock product back & forth to get it to cut through the bread). My only complaint that has nothing to do with the actual product is that I could have probably gotten a better deal if I planned out my shopping better. Product only costs $4.95 through the Disney store (my egg ring came with the Disney store price tag still attached to it which lead me to look it up online to see if that was the real price since I had no clue). If you're planning to buy other Disney items, it might be worth it to research buying directly through them when they're having a good sale. I paid a little under $12 through amazon. Feel like I got a little ripped off and wish I had researched it more before buying so be sure to double check prices elsewhere!

Review of Victorio 16-Ounce Shaved Ice/Snow Cone Syrup, Watermelon
The flavor was not good and nothing like watermelon at all. I do not recommend this shaved ice flavor to anyone.
Packaging was perfect, no leaks! very pleased!

This is a nice looking set, tight fitting lids. Great to see food through the clear lids. Bought this set and within a couple months of very light use, the pans became pitted and peeling. Never used anything abrasive or metal. Put in the dishwasher a few times but they are supposed to be dishwasher safe. After many phone calls and Cuisinart giving me a hard time about their "lifetime" warranty they finally agreed to let me ship them back (my own expense) for evaluation. They sent out what I was later told "a re-coating of my old pans". Well they looked new and now the lid doesn't fit on one of them. The pan obviously misshapen. Another call to Cuisinart...I will have to send the pan back again (at my own expense) and they will evaluate and send me...whatever (also at my expense). Crap product and crap warranty. Will never buy this brand of pan again.
I'm not a chef by any means, but we do cook at home 4-5 times a week. I've avoided (mostly) using metal utensils; the sauce pans get used almost every day; the large skillet gets used the most.
They are finally starting to show a little wear and tear, but other than the large skillet no longer being truly non-stick, they are still working just fine.
Not sure about other reviews in the negatory; I think this is a lovely set for the money.
56 days for the outside finish to last is just ridiculous. Amazon's return policy is no returns after 30 days so I am stuck with the entire set of pans. And I believe if the finish is bad on one pan the others probably wont last very long either.
I ABSOLUTELY WOULD LOOK ELSEWHERE TO BUY A SET OF PANS BASED ON THIS EXPERIENCE!!!

We got this set of Cuisinart pans as a holiday gift more than 6 years ago, and they've proven to be quite the "warhorse" of cookware!I'm not a chef by any means, but we do cook at home 4-5 times a week. Great product, great brand, great value! Nice weight, not light and flimsy. Love that each piece has its own lid no sharing as in most sets in this price range.Honest reviews on Cuisinart 55-11 Advantage Non-Stick 11-Piece Cookware Set
I received this product on August 2nd 2013. Seemed to be working fine. Today I cooked some pancakes using the 3 qt. saucepan (probably the pan I use the most, perhaps twice weekly.) When I washed the pan (by hand I do not use a dishwasher, as instructed), I found that a large chunk of the outside finish had chipped off. These pans do not get banged. I cook for myself so I typically use only one pan at a time. The rest of my dishes go in the dishwasher so they don't get banged in the sink either.56 days for the outside finish to last is just ridiculous. Amazon's return policy is no returns after 30 days so I am stuck with the entire set of pans. And I believe if the finish is bad on one pan the others probably wont last very long either.

I wanted new cookware to go with my newly remodeled kitchen. The old stuff was not completely flat for the new smooth glass cooktop. This set is perfect. Sits flat, cooks evenly, does not stick, cleans up well. The sizes are perfect for our family of two. I love the bright red color. It looks nice and does the job. The price was really good. I am happy with this purchase.Wednesday, November 12, 2014

Let me start off by saying that my main cookware set is the Anolon Titanium set that cost $399 when we got it in 2003. I love these pans because they are heavy-duty, nonstick because of the titanium, and dishwasher safe because of the titanium. Well, I wanted to add an "everyday" sort of pan to my collection because the Anolon set is VERY heavy and takes up lots of space, so I wanted something a little ligher weight for easier handling, but still large enough to cook for larger dinner parties AND easy to clean. So we looked at 12" pans and skillets and we decided on this one, the Cuisinart Chef's Classic Non-Stick Hard Anodized 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Cover.
For what you get in this set...the 12" pan and the covered lid...you cannot beat the price for the quality. For one, it uses a "quantanium" coating for its nonstick base...this is basically a nonstick coating reinforced with titanium, so it can withstand higher temps (oven safe to 500 degrees) and is scratch resistent. I don't use metal utensils anyway, so I can't attest to this...but it has been great so far!
The nonstick is great...makes clean up easy, which is very important to me as free time is very scarce in this household! I haven't thrown the pan into the dishwasher, but the lid gets tossed in and it's been fine. The pan itself cleans so easily that just a soapy nonabrasive sponge is all it takes to get the pan to brand new condition.
The pan also heats up very evenly. I cooked sauteed chicken in the pan and every single piece was evenly cooked. The pieces on the edges of the pan was just as cooked as the ones in the middle of pan. Makes for great cooking when you don't have to fuss about repositioning the food every few minutes for even heat distribution!
I also love the short handles because I always bump into the longer skillet handles when I'm cooking up a storm and I don't bump into this pan. I can also use this on the back burners too because of the short handles. You just can't "toss" your food like you can with a skillet. Use a towel or oven mitt when you touch the handles or the lid because they do get hot...but that's fine with me anyway because I don't like getting hot grease splattered on my hands anyway!
Overall, I am very impressed with this pan, and at a fraction of the price of similar items and nowhere near the cost of my Anolon Titanium set, it's a bargain!
The glass lid could only charitably be described as 'medium dome' and is not as high as its stainless steel counterpart.
To reviewers concerned about cleaning...no anodized aluminum pan should ever be placed in the dishwasher. If the exterior of the pan becomes spattered with cooked on food, I would say the use of a paste of baking soda or 'Barkeeper's Friend' might help. It does help that the pan will fit flat in a standard sink for easy cleanup with mild dish detergent and warm water. One key is to dry the pan immediately after washing.
With its titanium-reinforced, non-stick surface, metal utensils may be used; however, since the surface is truely non-stick, why take the chance of gouges?
The cast steel, Cuisinart embossed handles are smaller than those on other 'Chef's Classic' pans, but should not present a problem as long as the cook does not overfill the pan.
All-in-all, this remains an amazing 'buy' at less than $25.
I got this pan yesterday and had to use it right away, for supper. I cut red new potatoes in half and tossed them with olive oil, herbs, salt and pepper. I poured the potatoes into the pan and put them into the oven at 380 F. After 30 minutes I went to turn them and when I pulled the pan out, the potatoes SLID around the pan. So beautiful to see. After another 30 minutes, they were donebrown, crisp along the edges, perfectly cooked.
I guess it's all about having the right pan for what you're doing. This pan turned my terrible potatoes into perfection.
This is a big, thin pan. Foremost, if you plop it down cold on a high flame, it will be far more likely to warp than either a heavier or a smaller-diameter pan. (So those one-star reviews that say "my pan is warped" should more honestly read "I warped my pan.") Proper technique is to let the pan heat up over moderate heat, add oil, let the oil heat, add food, adjust the flame as necessary. It even says in the literature that comes with it: do not use over high heat. But once it's hot, I've turned the heat up for stir fry without any warping.
It's an everyday pan, not an everything pan. Since it's thin, it doesn't have the thermal mass to take on a thick cut of meat. But it's useful for a wide range of properly chosen foods and techniques.
The pan has seen a couple of months' use, and it's become the most frequently used pan in the house. Heats evenly without noticeable hot spots. The nonstick surface is excellent quality, great release, tight, unmarked.
Yes, there are rivets inside, but there are rivets inside all my cookware except the cast iron and cheap stamped aluminum.

I would say the pan is a little lighter than the Calaphon 'Commercial' everyday pan (with no non-stick surface). However, remarkably, the 'Chef's Classic' claims to be oven safe up to 500 degrees while the Calphalon maxes out at 450 degrees. (Amazon's in-house brand, the Pinzon, only promises a paltry 350 degrees.)The glass lid could only charitably be described as 'medium dome' and is not as high as its stainless steel counterpart.

Talk about potato woes. Mine were sticking to the pan, ripping, smooshing against my spatula. I tried home fries on the stovetop, roasted potatoes in the oven. What we'd all love in a 12-inch pan: (1) $25, (2) quality nonstick, and (3) heavy. Now pick two out of three, because that's all you're going to find. If you chose (1) and (2), then this pan could be for you. This is a big, thin pan. This pan has such a perfect size and shape and non-stick quality (especially for the $19.00 price) that I wanted to give five stars. But there are important flaws. Right out of the box, I could see immediately that on one half of the interior, the non-stick coating was jagged and bumpy, like it wasn't painted on smoothly or someone had scratched it up. The other side was perfectly smooth. It immediately made me suspcious and wondering if I would be eating some of the non-stick coating chemical. This is a huge issue. The pan also is very thin and light. I wasn't expecting such a flimsy pan that boasted of hard anodized material. I would have been willing to pay more money for a heavier skillet. It's the flaking non-stick material that makes me worry. Otherwise, it's an ideal roomy shape, with tall sides so food won't spill over. The two handles make it easy to fit in the sink. The coating is very non-stick. The interior looks very smooth on the one side that isn't flaking. If they improved the quality control and make it more solid and heavy, even at a higher cost, this would be a great pan. Not sure I'll use this much because of the coating issue and any potential safety issues from that. It also seems too light weight for serious sauteeing. I have other heavy pans I use for that. I will go back to Calphalon pans; I've not had problems with the non-stick on Calphalon coming off.Saturday, September 20, 2014

You can't go wrong with Circulon. It is just the best cookware ever. No burning or scorching, easy clean up, even if you burn your food to a crisp, just let it sit and peel off the burned food, wipe and keep on going. All the productswell cookware I use end in "LON". I have been using them for years. If the food begins to stick and you cant just wipe it clean, fill your pot or skillet with vinegar, water and baking soda warm it and let it sitrinse and be ready to use it again and again and again, if I could give it 10 stars I would.I had another stove top griller and the food was sticking too much, so I decided to search for the "lon" ware and found it.

I love this pan! It makes it so easy to cook up healthy dishes. I was very surprised that it actually leaves authentic looking grill marks on the food. I never enjoyed cooking on or the food cooked on the Foreman grill. Even though you are not supposed to use the highest heat with these nonstick pans this one still does a good job of searing and sealing in juices. I have only had it a couple of months, but now I really would like to acquire more of the Circulon pans. The pan cleans very easily, and I am faithfully complying with the care instructions, but according to some other reviewers this is apt to change with long-term use.Best Deals for Circulon Contempo Hard Anodized Nonstick 12-Inch Round Grill Pan
This is my third Circulon grill pan. Mine last about five years before they become so grungy they have to be replaced. They work wonderfully until then and okay when they are grungy (reduced nonstick effect). My Circulon pans that aren't subjected to as much abuse as this one are ten and still look and work very well but I fry up fake burgers in this one constantly and they seem to leave buildup that won't come off after a while. It's much lighter than the previous one.Honest reviews on Circulon Contempo Hard Anodized Nonstick 12-Inch Round Grill Pan
i am about to buy another one, maybe my third, i've been buying pans like this for years, possibly including other brands but same light weight grill pan style. Unfortunately, for me, the pan doesn't last very long. I started using this one new last September and now i'm buying another so it's lasted less than 9 months, but perhaps that is my fault. Having had this experience before on the other similar pans, I have been what i thought was very careful to wash it thoroughly each time i used it, to make sure it looked just like new when i was finished cleaning it. I've been careful not to scratch it. This went along fine for many months, and then, at some point, it became hard to get it clean. It gradually but steadily got harder and harder, the same thing that happened with previous ones. But i replace them because i like them so much. While they are working, they do a great job, i love the lightweight aspect of them, and they clean effortlessly-until they don't anymore. The one i have now has just gotten to the point where it's impossible to get all the residue off of it, so i'm replacing it. At least they are inexpensive. i would hate to buy an expensive nonstick pan and have this happen. But i don't hesitate to buy another one because i like using them. The other reviewer said their pan lasted 5 years. If i could get 5 years out of one, i'd consider that a great deal. I have tried to follow the care instructions for the pan, but somehow i haven't been that successful. Still i love the pan.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Circulon Contempo Hard Anodized Nonstick 12-Inch Round Grill Pan

I have the de Buyer carbon steel pan as well as the heavier mineral pan which is slower to season than the carbon steel pan. You have to effectively season (black patina) the surface in order to achieve stronger grill marks. The grill lines seem a little wide; depending on the weight of the food, the grill marks can be narrow or wide. Heavier foods will bear wider grill marks. I prefer the healthier 99% iron surface of the mineral pans. You have to use it frequently in order to prevent rust and maintain a nonstick black patina.I love my De Buyer Mineral pan. It's heavy, durable, wasn't hard to season. During seasoning it did smoke alot, and smell up the house a bit but it's definely worth it. I like that it's recycled, and organic. I have a few other De Buyer products and honestly think everything is quality products. I have noticed a small mark of rust but i believe having it a few months before getting to use it caused this. I oiled it up and ot hasn't gotten worse. Would recommend to anyone.

Buy Japanese Nut Seafood Crab Lobster Cracker
I grew up in Virginia and Maryland, so blue crabs were common fare. I've used wood mallets (messy, but effective), nut crackers and other ways of getting to the meat, but this is the best way yet.
What I love is the relatively fine serrations in the upper part of the cracker. I have annotated this area in a customer-supplied photo at the top of this page as (1). It can get you inside of the thinnest back fin or leg, and with the right touch the claws too (on a blue crab). The bottom area that I've annotated as (2) in the photo is excellent for larger crabs and lobsters, and will make quick work of the claws and some shells. Part of the effectiveness comes from the design of the cracker itself with its two zones. It was obviously designed by someone who wanted a better way to eat crab.
Another effective design feature is the length of the claw-shaped handles and the pivot point on the cracker. These give you a lot of leverage that allows you to crack even thick shells with little effort.
This cracker is made of an aluminum alloy so I recommend hand washing it. I tried machine washing mine and either the detergent I used or the higher heat discolored it.
One final thing I love about this is the price. I have come across identical ones with a different brand name selling for twice as much. In face, two of these crackers, shared, and a set of Norpro Seafood Forks will easily allow four people to enjoy a crab feast Chesapeake style!

Just LOVE these things. Work on the road, so I'd normally buy one for cooking in motels from Calgary to New Iberia. Then give it away at the job's end. Now that the handle's more stable and heat resistant it's just about perfect. The plasma-embedded titanium ceramic means you'll still need some oil. But has none of the shortcomings of PTFE. You can find the same with slate-coated pure aluminum skillets for less at TJ or Marshall's, but here it's Scanpan's design features that seem superior. Don't even think about the price. I've had one for 18 years and you can see a few scratches in but not through the coating.
Just beautiful quality.
The only minus point is the lack of lid which would come very handy.
Well, I was wrong, and I didn't know I was wrong until I accidentally browse the company's website and read its FAQ. In their FAQ, it says: "The ceramic-titanium particles become one with the pan at that point. A subsequent application of a specially formulated PTFE provides the nonstick effect." PTFE is the problematic element of Teflon. Well, I wish the company discloses this information somewhere on the product!

This is a very nice piece of kitchen ware. I first came accross it while house sitting at a friend's place and ended up using it for making most meals. I had to buy one for myself.Just beautiful quality.
The only minus point is the lack of lid which would come very handy.

I bought this pan thinking that I am buying a non-stick pan without Teflon. While the health issue became questionable concerning Teflon, I am willing to pay extra to be safe, and at the same time still enjoying the non-stick feature. The product description somehow suggested that the pan is non-stick because it's ceramic titanium.Well, I was wrong, and I didn't know I was wrong until I accidentally browse the company's website and read its FAQ. In their FAQ, it says: "The ceramic-titanium particles become one with the pan at that point. A subsequent application of a specially formulated PTFE provides the nonstick effect." PTFE is the problematic element of Teflon. Well, I wish the company discloses this information somewhere on the product!
Honest reviews on Scanpan Classic 11-Inch Wok
After years and years of trying to find a non-stick pan that wouldn't go bad (stick...flake, etc) I finally came upon the Scanpan. The wok looked perfect. I purchased it, and a smaller frypan from a local store (what a waste, Amazon's price is less than HALF the local price!). All was well for about 5 months, then the center bottom started to roughen and stick. It got worse as the months went by. A close examination last month showed little fragments had broken off (we ate them!) and the entire center surface was rough. Since I had paid so much ($179 for the wok) I was VERY careful to use only bamboo and plastic implements....never a metal implement...never. I followed warranty directions exactly, but DID occasionally use it as a wok and used higher, but not smoking hot, temperatures. Still....it ended up looking much like the $39 non-stick wok I had purchased from a restaurant supply house two years ago. The smaller frying pan still looks good. Very disappointing. So I think I've learned two things: always buy from Amazon, and there is no such thing as a durable non-stick pan.

We had been going through 1 or 2 non-stick pans a year. We finally got tired of people working for us scratching them with metalic utensils. So, now we use this one ourselves and use a regular heavy duty stainless still (not not-stick) for nannies/family/baby sitters to use. We have been pretty careful with it and don't use it at high temperature and hand wash with a sponge. It's lasted pretty nicely with some minor cosmetic blemishes but is still fully non-stick. Have not bought a new pan now in 2-3 years. Problem solved. I just wish the different sizes were just as affordable.Sunday, June 15, 2014

biggest problem with these pots are the light weight. they will move around easily while cooking/stirring. and the thin lids will dent easy at the sealing area if dropped. love the non stick outer coating which is the best feature and very durable.

Best Granite Ware 6209-4 4-Quart Stockpot with Steamer Insert Deals
I bought this steamer to replace a similar one I'd had for probably 15 years. I LOVED my old steamer. Unfortunately, the outer pan in my old steamer developed a tiny leak. This steamer looked like the same one so, despite Mike's bad review, I decided to buy it. Fortunately for me, the outer pan is fine, not unlike the one I'm replacing. My old steamer insert fits so I decided to keep it. The problem is the so-called "steamer insert." My old steamer had a colander-like granite ware pan that fit down inside the steamer, about an inch from the bottom and riding snugly on the top of the pan. The "steamer insert" that came with this pan is not as wide as the pan, so if you put it in the pan, it just sits on the bottom of the pan. It's also only a couple inches high. I'm not sure how you could use it. Even if it were wider, you could only put about a cup of veggies in it. And if you put it on the bottom of the pan, you might as well just boil your vegetables. I can't figure out what they were thinking. Anyway, unless you're in a situation like mine, where you already have the insert, I wouldn't buy this product.

No chemical coating? whatever they are using it melted on to my burners while simmering a stew. damn thing ruined my dinner, and filled the house with smoke. No i did not burn the food, the pot melted, on low no less. This is crap.Best Deals for Granite Ware 6209-4 4-Quart Stockpot with Steamer Insert
I am back to order my 3rd pot(one for my mom). The trick is to fill the water to just the top of the insert which should be thumb hole up. place as much/ as little veggies as possible. Let steam and check to add water every 10 min. I used one once for soup and it burnt. I don't think this is good for cooking in but it works great as a steamer. I like that it is light weight and with the lid upside down it stores easily. It also cleans easily. i give it 4 stars but would give 5 if it handled regular cooking better. Really more for steaming... it is thin material. It doesn't really even look like it could handle heavy heat.Honest reviews on Granite Ware 6209-4 4-Quart Stockpot with Steamer Insert
This is the perfect set for a SunOven. The set works well to cook chicken, meats and beans. I use the insert, placed upside down in the pot, to keep the small whole chicken from drowning in drippings. In a few hours, the pot yields well done meats, chicken and beans when used in conjunction with the SunOven. Does Cusinart look as good, yes, is it as good, hmmm, well I am not a professional chef and certain cooking shows state a quality stainless steel product the food won't burn as quickly on bottom and will cook more evenly. Well I didn't see a whole lot of difference between my stainless steel version of Cusinart, but again, I am not a professional Chef, soooo...
If Cusinart still stated their stainless steel products were 18/10, which they stopped doing probably a year or so ago and if they made their products in USA and they were still approx the same price as they are now (so much cheaper than All Clad), I would buy Cusinart, they look great and cook just fine for me on stove and in oven.
I tell anyone how much my Cusinart cost, but daren't say anything on how much I spent on the All Clad, ridiculous really, but I do like my kitchen pans :)

I own a LOT of Calph cookware, so when it came time to purchase new cookie sheets I turned to the tried and true. I like having sides on my sheets, and these fit the bill (some sites/companies will tell you that you can't bake cookies properly with sided pans, but I've never had any problems). I had several criteria for this purchase: price, quality, weight (I wanted heavy gauge), and non-warping. These sheets matched my requirements on all counts EXCEPT for the warping...they still give the dreaded 'boing' when in the oven a couple of minutes. Granted, it doesn't seem as bad as cheapie sheets, but still....oh well....love the sheets anyway and would buy them again.
They felt thick, they definitely weren't the cheapest pans, but they did not deliver. Used them before this to make chicken, that came out fine, but who wants a pan you can only do the basics with?

These pans are great in most waysvery heavy, well made, big. My only complaint is that there is a raised Calphalon brand stamped into the middle of each pan. If you put a cookie or something on that spot, you'd end up with "Calphalon" stamped into your cookie!Best Deals for Calphalon Classic Bakeware Special Value 12-by-17-Inch Rectangular
I already have two of these pans, also gave one to my daughter. I am now ordering a set to give my mom--I can put 15 cookies on a sheet and it takes no time at all with two of these pans to bake a batch of cookies. They do not warp, which every other pan I have owned did. I don't think I can go back to any other brand again--this is a true winner!Honest reviews on Calphalon Classic Bakeware Special Value 12-by-17-Inch Rectangular
These pans are of poor quality. They warp when heated even at low temps and don't lay flat in your oven once the oven reaches set temp. They settle back to their original shape when cooled, but are not worth the purchase.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Calphalon Classic Bakeware Special Value 12-by-17-Inch Rectangular
I was making my signature dessert, French macarons with my new pans, what a mistake! Review of Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II Nonstick 8-1/2-Inch Skillet
When my ex bought one of these I was convinced we would never get use out of something this small. Boy, was I wrong. Because the sides aren't very steep, the diameter is a little misleading. This skillet performs as well as a 10" and is perfect for cooking for one or two, and for making crepes or omelets. It fits about four italian sausages for pasta nights and two slices of bacon and two eggs for individual breakfast servings perfectly. I would highly recommend this for any singles, couples, or college students. It's so easy to clean and comfortable to use. The lightness and the small size would also make it nice for teaching young cooks as well! When my ex moved out, I loved this skillet so much that I couldn't buy a replacement at the local stores because their skillets simply didn't have the specifications (non-steep sides for rolling out batter or omelets, perfectly small size for 1-2 people) and specifically had to reorder this one from Amazon. I think every kitchen needs something like this and as someone who cooks both big and small meals for myself almost daily, I hated the two weeks I had to live without it.

I got this for my 76 year old dad who li9ves alone. I check in on him daily and provide dinner but he still likes to make his own breakfast and lunch so this is a perfect addition. I tested it out the first day by making him an omelet and it came out perfectly plus the pan was super easy to clean. He loves it and I am very happy with this purchase.Honest reviews on Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II Nonstick 8-1/2-Inch Skillet

Nice handle, surface is very non-stick and seems very hard. Color seems a bit bold at first but grows on you.
