This is a good-sized pan. It comes with a nice lid that seals if desired (using steam to form the seal).

It heats evenly, and stays very warm even after sitting away from the burner for a while.

The quality of the stainless steel is great and the pot is easy to clean in that it is stainless steel.

But, it does have its flaws. The negatives have to do with the rivets, especially on the lid, which are large to the point of absurdity, especially for a pan of this size. I was raised with riveted pots and pans, and the rivets were never an intrusion back then.

The lid's rivets make it more difficult to clean. The way they're attached on the outside is sloppy, and unnecessarily bulky. They stick up, and catch on sponges and cloths. This irritates me no end.

This is not a cruel and unusual complaint, but a statement of fact. I am surprised that a company like Cuisinart would be so careless in design. I own another item from a different line of theirs, the Everyday line, and it's the best pot I've ever owned, and that includes my Le Creuset ware.

If it were the only pot available in this size and quality of material, I would buy it again...just because it's hard to find a one and a half-quart saucepan with a lid, for some unknown reason. There are myriad one-quart pans available all over the place.

The price is fabulous! Really fabulous!

Postscript to this comment: I use this saucepan nearly daily. I actually have come to like it very much. If I could rate it again, it would get a four. If it weren't for the annoying rivets, it would be a five star item. The overall quality is unquestionably excellent.

Cuisinart Classic Stainless is the next best thing to All-Clad that you can get according to Cook's Illustrated (makers of the PBS show America's Test Kitchen). They're very beautiful, shiny, heavy, and best of all---they perform wonderfully. They hold a simmer very well, and my food doesn't burn.

Most of the Cuisinart Classic Stainless pots and pans go for WELL OVER $100 EACH at stores like Bed, Bath, and Beyond as well as Linens 'n Things. Buy these at Amazon! I was delighted to see most prices from Amazon were between $20-40 instead of $120-150 at the other stores. Then consider no tax, no shipping costs.... what a bargain!

I have just about every piece in this line and I love it..the pans all cook evenly and with less heat than any other cookware I've used. Keeping it shiny and beautiful is easy..just follow the instructions that come with it. A little bit of white vinegar after washing keeps it sparkling. I don't have a dishwasher and it's easy to clean. The ONLY drawback is that you have to use a towel of pot holder to lift the lid when they're on the stovetop because they get hot. I've recommended it to friends and they love it, too. You can go from stove to oventop. It's very versatile. Buy it! You can't beat this price.

Honest reviews on Cuisinart Chef's Classic Sauce Pans

I'm really glad to have replaced my non-stick with the Cuisinart pans. I have been increasingly concerned about the safety of non-stick. I was really scared that they would stick and I would have to scrub them, but they've been really good so far. I'm not crazy about the hazy look that the bottoms get inside, but I know it's because I cook on med-high heat and I need to get some Barkeeper's friend. Overall, really pleased with this purchase, and I'm still adding to my set.

Like the Chef's Classic set I'd bought from Cuisinart through amazon.com, this is a BEAUTIFULLY made piece of cookware with a snug-fitting lid. The bottom is thicker than the walls. It's so beautiful out of the box you hate to use it! But when you get around to breaking it in, you'll find that the heat transfer is fast and EVEN. The snug-fitting lid is a genuine delight, after a lifetime of using crappy cookware I realize what I've been missing. If you love to cook, this saucepan will put a BIG smile on your face! Some of the best money I've ever spent.

this is the best saucepan ever all of Woll Nowo Titanium products are well worth there money....I have tried all the big brand names in cookware most are crap and don't last a year.Easy to clean and maintain, nothing sticks and i mean nothing.

Best Deals for Woll Nowo Titanium Saucepan with Detachable Handle and Lid

Bought the Woll 6.3 quart pot and the 8-inch saute pan. They are okay, but I guess I like the Swiss Diamond brand better (which I also own.) I wanted a pot of this size, similar to Swiss Diamond brand. SD does not make a pot about this size. I VERY MUCH prefer the Woll lid knob over Swiss Diamond's, but the non-stick coating is superior on the SD brand. I've only used my Woll pot a few times, being VERY careful and already the coating is chipping around the rim and showing signs of scuffing/scratching on the inside bottom and outside. I use silicone utensils. I believe the rim is chipping because of the metal edge on the lid. It shouldn't. The outside shows scuff marks from the slightest thing. I had the pot sitting on the counter next to the sink and a Corelle bowl rubbed against it leaving a scuff mark. I DO NOT have this problem with my Swiss Diamond pieces. This Woll pot is very non-stick and easy to clean, but for the money, the durability is sorely lacking. I don't think I would buy Woll again. Really disappointed, guess I'll just stick with Swiss Diamond.

Just made 50 lbs of butter crunch (16 batches) in this pan..no burning, easy clean up and best of all no reoccurrence of a chronic tendinitis ( I call it "Christmas elbow") that I usually get after making my candy for Christmas. It is ergonomically a dream...heats evenly, looks good...can go in the oven.. My new favorite cookware.

Over the years, I've developed a bit of carpal tunnel syndrome which flares up now & then, so I have to be careful not to overly strain my wrists when opening a tight jar or bottle lid.

This Jar Lid Wrench by Back to Basics is a life-saver! I use it for for opening vacuum-packed lids, lids that my hubby has screwed on too tightly, and even for the caps on soda pop bottles.

The two sizes on the lid wrench fit everything, and I've even used the long handle area to open the tiniest bottles, like a pill bottle.

I love this product so much that I now own TWO of them, and am going to order one for my daughter's hope chest. (Does anyone even remember what a 'hope chest' is? *smile*)

I've had one of these for over 10 years now, and I'm sure I use it at least once a week on average. Especially now, in my feeble 50s, I have much less strength in my right hand because of an old injury, and the injury gets easily aggravate when I try to grip really hard to open things. This device works better than the rubbery grip pads (which I also own) because the design provides tork -the pads are helpful but you still have to grip hard. I'm so happy to have found this gadget again because we have to equip a second home. So much help for very little money -and pretty indestructable.

I was sure that this would help me open stuff. The arthritis I have in my hands was hampering my normal life! This slid off of every lid I tried to open. I cannot understand how it works for you folks, but for me it did not do the trick. Had to return it. First Amazon return, by the way, and it was easy.

Stay away from this one if you have weak hands.

Honest reviews on Back to Basics 285 Jar Lid Wrench

I do not need something complicated to open a dang jar. I just need something that works! This is it.

It works with enormous jars, tiny jars, every size. Takes very little pressure to open the jars ... just a gentle squeeze and turn does it.

I looked at other openers to replace the old one I had (which was an old one from the 1940s handed down from relatives) and this filled the bill nicely. HIGHLY recommend this.

The tea kettle was delivered a couple of weeks ago, but I just started using it this week. I like the size and design, except I thought that the handle would be made of rubber, not plastic, so I fear that there is a possibility that it might melt if I accidently forget about it. Once the water boiled, the handle was not too hot for me to touch without using a pot holder. The whistle is loud enough; it's not startling nor does it have a high shrieking sound. So far, so good.

I inherited two of these pots from my mother, who got them in the 1970's. They were her favorites and are mine too. You have to learn to use them for what they are good for: steamed vegetables, delicate dishes such as egg enriched white sauces, etc. They prevent overcooking. The vegetables come out beautiful.

They can often be used in place of a double boiler.

If your pot comes with a base for serving, be careful to remove for cooking! I melted a hole in the base of one of my pots.

I thought when using this product that it would be more of a "continue to cook" product. I liked the idea of bringing the food up to temperature, cooking for a short while, closing the lid and turning it off. I have tried it now three or four times and each time I say...."it's okay." It's not great; it's not bad. I just prefer the Emile Henry FLAME cookware which I also bought recently. I think it's called FLAME...........it can be taken from the freezer to the microwave; it can be used on the stovetop and the oven and looks lovely. I had to search but found a wonderful green color. Anyway I judge purchases like this one by asking myself if I'd buy another size in this type pot or pan. I wouldn't. I'd purchase the Emile Henry.

This is a gorgeous knife set. I was really happy with the knives over all. However, they do rust easily. I do handwash and dry them, but still have rust spots on both the blades and handles. Rust spots have developed even when cleaning immediately after usewaiting causes more problems. I have used stainless cleaner, but have been unable to remove all the rust spots.

My husband and I bought this set of knives with money from our wedding and I LOVED them at first. It seemed like a great set of knives at a great price. Wrong. We havent even had them for 2 months and several of the knives already have several rust spots. The spots won't come off with anything. I have emailed cuisinart to see if this is covered under warranty.... no response. If notBed Bath & Beyond will take them back. Very disappointing.

Great cutlery set a must have in any kitchen! They are light weight with comfortable to hold handles! This set comes with two paring knives and a smaller set of siccors(that don't fit in block, not a problem for me but for some I know this would be a con). I haven't had any problems with rust and they sharpen up really nice with just a couple swipes on the sharpening rod! We do not put them in the dishwasher and wash them all by hand, being as that none of them are sariated it makes cleaning them a sinch.

We enjoy our set so much we bought a set for our parents as a Christmas gift.

I would give 0 stars if possible. I received this as a wedding present from my cousin, from my wedding list in amazon. I picked them, and I loved them at first, they are suposed to be STAINLESS STEEL, but no... I just received them 3 months ago and the rust is almost fully covering some of them, it's a shame cause they're really sharp, but I'll have to throw them away :(, I wonder if I can get a refund from amazon or a change...

My husband got me this set after the previous so called stainless steel set we got rusted after the first wash and use. Well I thought this set would be better given the name but I was wrong. They too rusted and now have spots all over them!! Stainless Steel DOES NOT do this!!! These are not 100% Stainless Steel. They shouldn't be allowed to sell them this way, it's false advertising!

I have found that buying knives second hand to be the best, that is when they actually stood behind their products. After much research I found it is NO LONGER the Cuisinart you probably knew in the 80s. It was bought out by Conair in the late 80s which is a multinational company. Meaning it's not made by the same people and the quality is NOT the same. It still has the name but it's not the same product. They are selling these based on the name NOT product quality! Sadly many big companies are in the same boat.

These knives look good and that is about it. They cut ok but the fact they get brown spots after a few uses is just unacceptable.

You are better off buying each knife individually and spending the money on actual stainless steel!

Hampton Forge 52-Piece Kitchen Starter Set Reviews

Hampton Forge 52-Piece Kitchen Starter Set
Customer Ratings: 3.5 stars

Bought this for my daughter's first apartment thinking it would be a great starter set of needed kitchen items. During the first week I broke the scissor handles while cutting open a package, the peeler is minimally effective and the knives proved difficult to cut through raw meat and fresh bread. The cooking utensils are average and will work just fine, but the knives and scissors are useless. I ended up buying her another set of knives as I felt guilty that even I could not find them suitable to do the menial things they were meant to do.

I would NOT recommend this set to anyone. I would spend a bit more money and get a quality set of knives and a separate set of utensils.

This little box has a bit of everything and most of it is pretty useful. The knives are sharper than I expected them to be but still invest in a sharpener because they dull quickly. All of the spoons and spatulas are pretty strong and there is one with an angle that is perfect for pancakes. The corkscrew, ice cream scoop and the peeler are all pretty delicate. I broke all three within the first use or so. There is no bug chopping knife and the scissors did start to stick after I washed them. All that aside it would be great for someone that is just getting into cooking.

Best Deals for Hampton Forge 52-Piece Kitchen Starter Set

I was looking for a starter set when I moved into my new house a few months ago. Should have saved my money and got something worthwhile. This is super low quality. Dull knives, flimsy plastic. Definitely not something I would recommend to anyone.

Honest reviews on Hampton Forge 52-Piece Kitchen Starter Set

We bought this set while on a bit of a shopping spree to update our kitchen from hand-me-down status. We never expected top of the line from this set, but I wasn't prepared to be this disappointed. Like several others mentioned, pieces were missing. The knife block is very "shop class", though at least in my shop classes, we learned how to finish woodworking projects. And half of the steak knives will end up thrown in a drawer because there's only 6 slots in the block for them.

The knives are very cheap and are a kitchen accident waiting to happen. The blades aren't the "smooth sharp" one expects, they're jagged and rough like they've been sharpened on gravel and tear more than anything. Maybe while they are still sharp, they'll cut food, but I also expect them to scratch up my plates and mutilate my cutting boards.

Speaking of cutting boards, that is about the only thing I actually like about this set. Yes, it's tiny and flimsy and slides all over the place, but it's decent enough for when I just want to cut a few slices of tomato instead of pulling out the real cutting boards. And I suppose it's good for resting spoons on.

The measuring cups and spoons are as cheap as you can get, and they are constantly falling off the rings. I don't expect the cheese grater to actually hold up against cheese. Couldn't comment on the corkscrew since we only got half of one and we didn't get a can opener at all. The Ice Cream Scoop is also pretty flimsy, but I suppose it could still be handy for scooping cookie dough or some other soft item.

The absolute worst of the worst in this set is all the plastic cooking utensils. They are terribly flimsy and the ladle actually scares me as I feel it bend under the pressure of soup. But that is not what gets it one star. It's the horrible taste and smell that it has.

Everything, and I mean -everythingthat touches these utensils comes away with a nasty smell and taste. No matter how much we scrub and clean them, the smell and taste won't die.

I made ravioli last night and used the spoon to stir the sauce. Just sticking the spoon in to stir the sauce, probably about 30 seconds exposure total, was enough to taint the whole batch. I also used the same spoon to scoop out some barely lukewarm steamed veggies and they also ended up tasting and smelling like the spoon. I mentioned soup earlier, and yes, that was also tainted by just limited exposure to these utensils. I'm so glad I kept my other cooking utensils because for all the effort I put into making nice food, I don't want it coming out tasting like you're licking a tire.

All in all, this set is a waste of money, and in the end, kitchen space. The cheap single pieces you find lining the aisles of the grocery store are far superior to what this set has to offer. There are simply no saving graces to this set.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Hampton Forge 52-Piece Kitchen Starter Set

I purchased these expecting that they would not be the top of the line because of the price, but I was expecting better than what I got. The knife block wasn't even treated and still had rough spots in the wood, plus it was dented badly when we received it. The cookie sheets were also very flimsy. One of these came bent as well. The little cutting board was also very cheap and flimsy. I would not recommend this to anyone who wants decent utensils in their kitchen, because these are crappy. Needless to say, I printed the return label within an hour of receiving the box in the mail....

Zwilling TruClad Stainless Steel 10 inch Nonstick Fry Pan
Customer Ratings: 3 stars

I bought this pan to add a size I needed. I did tons of research online and I was excited to find a promising non-stick pan that used ceramic instead of the other stuff that flakes off.

I loved it when I first got it. I used it 3-5 times a week for just about everything. I always use a bit of oil with my cooking and use the proper oil for the proper type of cooking (high, medium and low heat). After about 8 months, I didn't change what or how I cooked but things started to stick. Clean up was still a breeze. About a year into using it less and less because everything stuck, it lost it's non-stick completely. Even clean up was hard.

Then came the egg incident. I was making eggs for my small sons. I got distracted and they cooked just a little too long and browned. They completely stuck. I had to use a rough dish cloth (no scouring pad) and scrub and scrub to clean it off. When I was done, there were spots all over the pan where the ceramic coating had come up.

I contacted the company and let them know. Their response wasn't a surprise but I'm still disappointed. They told me I could send it to them at my expense. They would examine it and decide if it was a manufacturers defect or not. If it was, they would send me a replacement pan but couldn't promise it would be the pan I bought. If it wasn't, they would do nothing. The whole process would take 4-6 weeks once they received the pan.

I bought full price of about $130 including taxes. My other high-end non-stick pans are going strong after 12 years. I'll just keep buying those.

I got this from warehouse deals for $30. These are hard anodized and heat up very quickly on a backpacking stove If you are cooking pancakes make sure you have a flame-adjustable stove. Good quality for the price, neither flimsy nor too thick. They are lightweight. Every thing has an handle, nice to have may be it adds up slightly to the weight for me it's negligible. Every pot has a lid, only the smallest one has a strainer and the bend for the easy liquid flow. Only the pan has the rough surface on the bottom rest are plain. I didn't feel any gliding off the stove (stove I use is primus omnifuel has lower gravity and some grip) during cooking/even boiling pot full of water. Very satisfied with the cook set for backpacking.

After losing my original broiler pan (accessory with my range), I replaced with a Nordic Ware Broiler pan set claiming to be "non-stick". What a joke! I used it once and it was ruined (had to toss in the trash).

Then I purchased the Stanco Non-Stick Broiler Set and I am AMAZED! Its quality material and it really is NON-STICK! I love it! It wipes clean, absolutely no scrubbing required. I've cooked steaks, burgers, london broil, and crab cakes. Nothing sticks to it!

I love this set!

I bought this item specifically because it is advertised as "non-stick". I was very disappointed. As far as I'm concerned, this product represents nothing short of deceptive marketing.

As another reviewer notes, the bottom pan cleans easily, but the top tray is a nightmare. There's nothing "non-stick" about it. After cooking meat on it, I always had to soak it for hours, and after that I still had to scrub it until my hands and arms were sore. And very often, once it dried after all that, I could see that it was still not entirely clean!

One morning, we used the Stanco broiler to cook bacon. The meat was so firmly stuck to the broiler that We found it impossible to remove the bacon without damaging it. That's when we decided to simply throw this useless thing out.

We tried using non-stick sprays, but that makes the problem even worse; what tends to happen is that the spray dries and hardens, and it actually makes the problem worse. You shouldn't have to spray a "non-stick" broiler in the first place! And also note that this broiler gets worse with every use. It isn't anywhere near "non-stick" even right out of the package, but after a few months of use, it will be much worse.

I was also not impressed with the packaging. The item is shipped with the top tray in direct contact with the lower pan. On the unit I received, this contact resulted in a lower pan that had its coating worn completely off--down to the metal--around its entire circumference where it meets the top tray.
