The tea kettle was delivered a couple of weeks ago, but I just started using it this week. I like the size and design, except I thought that the handle would be made of rubber, not plastic, so I fear that there is a possibility that it might melt if I accidently forget about it. Once the water boiled, the handle was not too hot for me to touch without using a pot holder. The whistle is loud enough; it's not startling nor does it have a high shrieking sound. So far, so good.This is a well constructed kettle and works very well. Well worth the investment and considered a good economical buy
