The non-stick properties in the pan work fine. When I forget that it's the one pan where the handle isn't one you can use without a glove I end up with blistering burns. With kids in the house that cook this has to go in the trash.

I recently installed a wall-mounted Calphalon pot rack, which I like a lot. Unfortunately, the two hooks I just ordered both fail to work properply with the potrack. One is simply too small to fit onto the rack; the other one fits on but is too large, and comes off when removing pans. Additionally, these hooks are either made from a different material and/or finsihed differently from the ones that shipped with pot rack originally.

Calphalon would be better off charging more money for hooks that actually work than continuing to ship these things. Whatever company Calphalon has contracted to make these things is doing a terrible job.

I am a heavy duty cooker. I tried to save some money and purchased a cheaper pan just before this one. It did not last. They are standing up to me so far. I would recommend them as a moderately priced cookware choice that will stand up to heavy cooking.

I first discovered the Ecolution Artistry pans in my local grocery store. At that time, I was in need of a griddle pan, so I decided to purchase their Ecolution Artistry 11" Griddle. I was attracted to the eco-friendly non-stick coating on these pans--they use a water-based, Hydrolon non-stick coating rather than traditional Teflon/PFOAs--and I admit, I also loved the cute green flower pattern on the bottom! I wound up loving the griddle, so I was interested in purchasing other pans from the Ecolution Artistry line.

I recently purchased the Ecolution Artistry 8-Piece Cookware Set, but I decided that I wanted an additional saucepan, so I picked up this 2-quart size in my local store. As with the other pots in this series, the performance of this pan is AMAZING--I have NEVER seen a non-stick pan do its job so well! Foods just slide around, with very little oil/other coating needed. (NOTE: As per the instructions, I did "season" this pot with a very light coat of cooking oil prior to first use.) Although all of the Artistry pots are dishwasher-safe, I prefer to hand-wash (to preserve the outer finish as well as the overall life of the pans). I could practically just rinse the pan or wipe it out with a paper towel, it is THAT non-stick.

I love the Ecolution Artistry line so much that I have replaced my entire cookware! In addition to the Cookware Set and the Griddle mentioned above (which was purchased about 6 months ago and has performed flawlessly), I also recently purchased the Ecolution Artistry Chicken Fryer.

I am extremely satisfied with this pan overall! I highly recommend the Ecolution Artistry series, both for their excellent non-stick performance as well as for their eco advantage.

The pan appears to be warped so that the lid doesn't fit. I thought this was a good buy but should have spent more money. I have never purchased a pot where the lid didn't fit. The non stick part seems to work well, however. I don't want to take the time and expense of returning it so am using it 'as is' until I find another from a different company. I really wish that people would not leave comments on cookware that they have had for less than a year. Of course when it's new, it's great. However, please note that the reviewers who have had theirs for more than a year are telling you it DOES scratch easily. This is a very expensive set for nonstick. I took very good care of mine because it was so expensive, I always handwashed my cookware and did not abuse it. But it still scratched after 3 months. Fortunately the company that I bought it from stood behind it and took it back, because Swiss Diamond's warranty is awful! Look at some of these reviews and you'll see that people who had to deal with the company are saying that Swiss Diamond keeps claiming "abuse". How convenient and shady of the company. The nonstick was great and it cooked nicely, but when mine scratched, I contacted the company and was given, in an email, "this warranty does not cover stains, discoloration, scratch marks, or dents". HUH??? What DOES it cover then? And once a pan is scratched it's ruined. So since it scratched so easily and the company does not stand behind their warranty, I decided to return the entire set rather than get stuck with a $500 set that will be just like any other nonstick set within a few years. Don't listen to reviewers who have only had theirs a short while look at the reviewers who have had theirs for awhile or have had to deal with the company. They are all saying the same thing it DOES scratch, get pits, and stains and the company does not stand behind it.

We spent a lot of money ($150) on the 12-inch sautee pan which is advertised as "virtally indestructable". We have been very careful with the pan. We don't use metal utensils, put it in the dishwasher, or use abrasive cleaners or scrubbers. The non-stick coating is pitting, flaking and coming off after only eight months.

The company told me that we could send it back (at our expense) and someone at the company would examine the pan and decide if they would repair the pan, give us a replacement or return the pan as is.

We are planning to return the pan, but we aren't too hopeful.

Having recently read quite a few reviews of other companies' non-stick cookware, it seems that this is a common problem. Caveat emptor!

I contacted their Customer Service Department who seemed VERY interested in helping me decide whether some of the set needed replacement. I was asked to send pictures online and full documentation on when I bought them etc. etc. I responded immediately with what they asked for!

THEN, NO RESPONSE! I even sent an email to the person who originally contacted me...NO REPLY!

I've been bragging to everyone about how lovely this 8.5 qt. stock pot is because clean up is a cinch and the non-stick quality is superior. Recently, after cleaning the pan I noticed a scratch that revealed the silver-colored metal underneath the non-stick surface as well as several other aggravated areas on the rim. I couldn't imagine how that happened. After examining its glass lid, I noticed the metal band that goes around the circumference of it (and comes in contact with the pot's rim) joins together and creates an unconnected, albeit close, seam. When I touched it, it felt sharp. Ah-hah! This must be what caused the damage. It seemed logical to me. The representative from Swiss Diamond looked at it and claimed it was caused by a metal utensil being banged against the rim. User error. Needless to say I'm disappointed. I don't recall banging a metal utensil against the rim. It seems obvious to me that, as absurd as it may sound in theory, practically speaking, the pan damaged itself. I sure hope the damage doesn't spread. The other thing I've noticed is some of the non-stick surface on the bottom is pilling. I'm bummed out. I feel angry, but I can't fight "city hall". I just hope this isn't the beginning of further degradation of the pan I love so much.

I've been cooking for 50 years and have tried them all. This is the best line of cookware ever. It has all the right features: can be used in the oven, proper balance, excellent conductivity, totally flat bottoms, great non-stick (both inside and outside), the handles stay cool, just the right weight. However, don't believe the claim that you can use metal utensils. They can be scratched if you don't use wooden, silicone, or plastic utensils. Treat them with care and they'll be your favorite cookware.

The pan initially looks great and Black Friday price was very good. Nice feel. Very solid construction. Would display nicely hanging on pan rack. However, the pan came with a scratch on the rim. Cooked Salmon with Olive Oil. The results were excellent, but it took over 10 minutes to clean using Bar Keepers Friend. I was not impressed. I compared cooking the Salmon with the Cusinart Green Pan. I used no oil and results were comparable, if not better, than this pan and clean-up with less than a minute.

This is my favorite stainless steel pan now. It's flat, has great heat distribution, and heavy. People who complain don't know how to cook on stainless. Any stainless pan is going to cause sticking if you don't know what you're doing. Temperature is key. For meats, get it hot, and the food will release in a minute or two. Use a little cooking oil, and get it hot enough to just before the smoke point. Most of the time clean up only takes a few minutes with bar keepers friend. No mater how much stuck on oil I had, I could clean it in about 10 minutes. Comes out looking like brand new.

I highly recommend this product, and I think if used correctly, this BergoOFF pan will last a life time.

So first of all this is the first review for this item so accordingly when I bought it there was non :) Too bad for me ..may be I would no buy it if there would be a review. So here you go..

To begin with the packaging was horrible. The box came with the handle sticking out of it.

As long as I had a big issue and fight with American Kitchen because some of their 18/10 stainless steel is NOT a real stainless steel every time I buy 18/10 SS I check it. This one is NOT %100 18/10 SS (I mean those parts that suppose to be 18/10). However it is close and not that bad (I would say about %75 is 18/10) otherwise I would ship it strait back.

So I decided to give it a shot.

It heated very slowly and than cooled down same slow (which is normal and good).

I wasted about 12 eggs trying to fry them on low heat, on high heat, with different types of oil but no matter what I did I could not get even one normally fried egg. They just kept sticking to the pan.

I bought it here from Amazon for $32.31 and I will not return it but will look for some better option (better does not mean more expensive).

If you would ask me I would not suggest buying it.

Update: Just tried to fry some meat and it worked out almost perfectly. And that increased my opinion about this pan.

This is an excellent stainless steel pan. If you don't have experience with stainless steel you'll burn and stick on food for a while before you figure it out, but look around online for some tips.

I destroyed a meal in this pan when I first got it and took about 2 days to clean it up. Since then I've learned to cook on stainless properly and now use this pan around 10 times a week.

The pan itself is a perfect weight: it's solid and tough, I've bashed it around for 2 years, and thrown it from the stove into the sink countless times. It's in like-new condition still: flat across the bottom and no dents or significant scratches. The handle is comfy and stays cool reliably. I cooked crepes yesterday without a problem and couldn't see any hot-spots from the pan so it heats evenly enough for any normal meal.

Cleanup is normally as easy as a 5 minute soak plus a wipe with a sponge. For a good stuck-on mess, I'll leave it overnight and wipe it out easily the next morning. If you make a huge mistake and burn in some oil or something that won't wipe out, you can get pretty tough with the cleanup and the steel can handle the hard scrubbing you'll have to do (unlike a non-stick).

Overall great value and I'm very impressed with the quality of this pan, but if you're new to stainless steel you'll have some frustrating times figuring it out. Just remember it's not the pan's fault...

This is not a real Hangiri. It is a cheap knockoff. The copper bands are merely decorative and immediately fell off as I took it out of the package. While it is still functional, the question is how long will the glue last thats holding this thing together. Dont waste your money here if your buying this for making sushi rice.

This unit is made in China and the only thing in common with the previously American made unit is the enormously high price tag.

My unit started leaking under the cap about one month after I purchased it. I bought a new cap only to find that it was a manufacture defect in the sealing area of the unit. This was nursed along by over tightening the cap until it eventually slipped a thread. After that I got into the habit of turning the unit upside down (allowing the unit to leak into the cap/cup) before opening it.

Soon after this, the spot weld area for the handle gave way. Welded in three spots, two of which clearly have paint on the originally intended upon welding surface.

Tonight the thing leaked all over my wife's lap as she merely intended to open it and that was the last straw. This thing is a TURD!

The only reason I did not give it one star is because it does have good thermal qualities.

Over the weekend I bought a Stanley thermal bottle. I've been wanting a thermal carafe for a while now, and this one has the capacity for a liter of coffee, tea, soup, etc.

I was really jazzed about this specific bottle, because it is aesthetically rich in testosterone. The design seems to be straight out of the first half of the 20th century. So you know geeky-old-me, I had to perform a thermal performance test. I first pre-heated the bottle for several minutes using hot tap water. I filled the carafe to the brim with boiling water, and checked the temp using my probe thermometer. 205 degrees. This morning, exactly 8 hours after my initial measurement, I cracked the bottle for a second reading...an astonishing 177 degrees (I woulda thought 150-ish). The probe thermometer showed that the temperature of the room was 73 degrees, and I had the AC's thermostat constant the entire time.

If you run the numbers through Newton's Law of Cooling, you find a K-value of 0.029801 per hour given my environment and observations. By empirical calculation, that means that the bottle's contents would cool down to 150 degrees in about 18 hours at room temp (the temperature I would still consider a beverage or soup pretty hot). 24 hours after filling with near-boiling water, the contents would likely be near 137.5 degrees...still pretty hot, and still somewhat capable of fighting off some foodborne illnesses. It would take 53 hours for the bottle's contents to cool to 100 degrees.

Your mileage may vary, but this thing appears to be a winner.

After 24 hours, the water in the Stanley Vacuum bottle measured 144 degrees. Not bad. But the water in the Thermos Work Bottle measured a whopping 162 degrees after 24 hours! Here is a review for you. Yesterday I did a side by side comparison of two Stanley Thermoses. One was purchased 20 years ago, and one purchased last year.

The Thermoses were filled with the same coffee batch at the same time (5:00 am). At exactly 12:00 pm we opened the thermoses. The one purchased 20 years ago contained piping hot, steaming coffee. The one purchased last year contained cold, not luke warm but cold, coffee.

If you would like a durable product that will last forever that is one thing. If it needs to keep a beverage hot then spend your money elsewhere. A styrofoam cup can keep a beverage hotter than a Stanley Thermos and it doesn't cost 20 bucks.

I am a locomotive engineer and I drink an average of two quarts of coffee a day while I'm on the job. I need a vacuum bottle that is durable, and that will easily fit into my grip. This bottle fills the bill in that department, but after a couple of months, this bottle has started losing it's heat retaining capabilities. I took it out of my grip (bag) the other day, and the whole outside of the bottle was very warm. The coffee inside was lukewarm, and I did the preheating stuff beforehand. This is my fourth Stanley bottle, and I will NEVER buy one of these again. They all start out great, and get worse as you use them. I have since ordered a Thermos/Nissan Work Series Thermos Beverage Bottle (40 oz.). These are hands down better than anything Stanley makes. I got mine from . The Stanley bottle has great potential, but the company needs to figure out how to insulate it!!

i have a small wok that i also use for other than wokky things, so i needed a lid. i measured the diameter and hoped for the best. i ordered this one because the lip looks wide enough to cover small differences in the shape of any particular pan. and it is. and it works just fine. the alloy seems a bit rough (i.e., not polished at all), but not in a way that would scratch a pan. i just mean, it's not super pretty, but it does the job.

Buy CorningWare French White 23-Ounce Oval Dish

I have about 6 of these made of the original Corning pyroceramic and we use them all the time to reheat foods. However, these as shown are not the "real thing."

The original "French White" Corningware was made of Corning's famous pyroceramic glass, which could be used on the gas stove, put directly in the freezer, put under the broiler right from the freezer, and oh yes, also used in a microwave. And it was very unlikely to shatter if dropped. If you pounded on it with a hammer and nail you might have gotten it to break.

When World Kitchens bought the license from Corning, they decided to halt production of a line of cookware that would take anything and last forever, and dupe customers, especially brides, into thinking the stoneware "French White" was the same thing as the wonderful French White pyroceramic cookware previously available to their mothers and sisters.

The pattern is very attractive and can be used with any decor, and they do offer many sizes, but this stuff is not, repeat, really not, what people mean when they say "Corningware."

Le Creuset can do most of the above mentioned, but it being metal you cannot use it in the microwave. Stoneware cannot go on top of the stove, and repeated trips from the freezer to the oven or microwave, which you are likely to do with these little dishes, will eventually cause it to craze and crack. And stoneware will also chip, and break if dropped, etc. Pyrex glassware cannot go on the gas stove although you can take it from the freezer to the oven, and also microwave it.

The only product which could do anything was pyroceramic, and World Kitchens has chosen to remove it from the market because it is "too good."

They have recently brought back a few of the old square shapes, with the Cornflower, or plain white, calling it "vintage," but the French White shape is not making an appearance yet. If you want it, email them and ask for it!

Meanwhile, don't buy this stuff. Get Le Creuset for cooking and roasting (yes it is expensive but it lasts forever and cooks beautifully), and reheat things in Pyrex in the microwave.

I was a little surprised/disapointed with the dish dimentions. I can promise you the dish is NOT two inches deep (more like 1 1/2 inches. Also like the larger (2 1/2 qt), french white dish I ordered at the same time the bottom of the dish is unglazed, and very rough (and will scratch up your counters).

This item is not like the original CorningWare. A company called World Kitchens bought the rights to the CorningWare name and uses it on stoneware products. The product is made in China, not Corning, NY. My real complaint is the limited utility of the dishes. A sheet that comes with the dishes warns not to use them under a broiler, under a microwave browning element, in a toaster oven, or any other direct heating source. Obviously, they can't be used to make creme brulee or even shrimp scampi.

I bought these for the sole purpose of pulling smoked pork butts for pulled pork sandwiches. These make the task so much easier than using large forks. I pulled two six-pound pork butts in under five minutes. These things are great!

Being a "former" fork pulling pork puller, I have to say that the Bear Paws is a great gadget to have on hand.

The first weekend I had the paws, I was cooking 40 lbs of pork butts.

I literally pulled all 4 butts in less than 20 minutes, whereas is with forks each butt might take 15 minutes alone.

I love the other reviewer's idea of using these to pull pork, but I bought the bear paws so that I could finally pick up and move large, roasted objects securely, from off of the flames, or just out of the roasting pan--and they do a fantastic job for both. Folks, this is a very simple item that will make a very simple cooking task MUCH friendlier to perform. There's not a lot to say about a pair of claws you use to pick up hot stuff, except: Where have they been all my life?

I can't understand why the cooking stores have bear paw shaped salad tossers, but not these, which answer a much more immediate and (because of the temperatures involved) important kitchen need than how to move a piece of lettuce or two around in a bowl. Thankfully, we can get them online!

As advertised. I thought that the plastic would have been made more durable. After just a few uses pulling some pork tenderloin's, the ends curled up a bit so they are less effective now. I didn't pull the pork when it was super hot either so they didn't melt down. I think they would be better if they were metal.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this product but it did the job in tearing apart pulled pork. I ended up using my hands when the forks became so greasy that holding on to them was difficult and I kept holding them backwards which makes me wonder if the handle shapes couldn't use improvement to make them more comfortable and secure. They definitely were better than tableware forks and a must if the meat is still too hot for you hands.
