I was tired of nylon and other plastic spatulas and turners. Most of them have a thick edge and are not sufficiently stiff to really scrape something out of a pan. Using a cheap plastic turner to flip hash brown potatoes in my cast iron pan resulted in a melted edge on the turner and bits of potato still stuck to the pan.

This stainless steel turner is the answer to that problem. It is stiff and heavy duty enough to handle pretty much any turning duty in my kitchen. If you need a flexible turner, this is not it. It has a non-slip material inserted at the holding end of the handle that makes it comfortable to hold. However, if you need to "choke up" on the grip and hold it closer to the turner you will be holding the edges of the turned over steel, which is not very comfortable. Being stainless steel, I don't have to worry about leaving it leaning on the side of my cookware and having it melt. The handle is a good length long enough to keep your hand away from the cooking surface but no so long as to make using it awkward. I used it to get the cookies off my cookie sheets and it worked okay for that, even if the edge could be just a little bit thinner to get under the cookies.

If you are looking for a stainless steel turner, this is a good one.

These OXO stainless tools are the best. Solid, well build, includes a hole to hang them. Unlike the Kitchen Aid which tip out of the pan due to their imbalanced weight characteristics, the OXOs are well balanced. It's slightly heavy which I like. Doesn't scratch very easily and washes nicely. This is my line of choice.

Purchased these for use on cast iron and hard anodized aluminum cookware. It was actually looking for more Calphalon brand SS utensils, as I have two that I have been very pleased with, but it seems that the line I wanted had been discontinued. In comparison, these are not as sleek and polished, or as well crafted. However, they are half the price or less, and work well enough. Good weight and balance, good grip surfaces. For what they are, I'm well pleased and would purchase them again.

OXO's line of brushed stainless steel kitchen utensils are nicely balanced and feel great using them. My only complaint is that after putting them through the dishwasher, they have developed some surface rust spots. They scrub off, but I hate to have to worry about the rust each time. Must be cheap stainless steel composition.

My wife is a snob when it comes to cookware. We have 8 All-Clad pots & pans hanging from our pot hanger and she won't use anything other than All-Clad or Le Creuset brand cookware. WAIT A MINUTE. I haven't and this pan for long and have taken very good care of it. It's already started to chip and is missing very small amounts of ceramic. BOOOOO! I take back my review below from when I first bought it. Still much less "non-stick" than the Zwilling, but falling apart. Shenanigans!

ORIGINAL: My expensive first ceramic purchase of a Zwilling JA Henckels Twin Spirit Thermolon Fry Pan, totally SUCKS and it was EXPENSIVE! This taught me to test new pans right away. This pan is wonderful, scrammed eggs don't stick without any added butter or oil (over easy need a tiny touch of oil just to ensure your yolks don't break). It wipes clean, has a very heavy bottom that distributes heat evenly and is exactly as described by the manufacturer. If the ceramic holds up this will be my new favorite brand for ceramic cookware. However, I've read that over time some ceramic coatings doesn't hold up, we'll see, and I'll post an update if it doesn't. So far it's GREAT! A True Non-Stick Ceramic Pan At An Affordable Price! Woo Hoo! DON'T BUY INTO THE ZWILLING NAME, IT'S NOT TRUE! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE HASN'T EVEN RESPONDED TO ME AND AMAZON ABOUT THE LEMON I BOUGHT!

We received this saucier as a wedding gift from a friend, and she really knew what she was doing when she bought this pan! The heat distribution on this thing is incredible, so you don't get the typical "hot" and "cold" spots as you would with cheaper cookware. The weight is substantial, but not too much even for a petite person such as me to handle, lift, or hand wash. The little vent hole in the lid is a nice touch, and the colors (we have flame) will really brighten things up around your kitchen. It is well worth the money to purchase this pan, especially since it has a 101 year warranty.

Beautiful pan, a joy to cook with(I use it every day).

Solid and sturdy, but not too heavy to lift with one hand.

Great for sauces. stews and soups.

Goes from stovetop to oven to table. the knob on the lid is happy up to 400 degrees, but I usually put a piece of foil over it if it needs to be covered.

Cleans up easily. Best to wash it by hand and towel dry thoroughly. (per instructions).

I have found it best to use butter rather than oil when sauteeing meat. The first time I used it was for scratch made marinara sauce and I used a dab of butter to sautee bacon( fat cut off) and it worked perfectly, no sticking at all.

The second time I used oil to sautee the bacon and it started sticking a little. After scraping the pan with a wooden spoon to unstick the bacon, I added a dab of butter and no more sticking!

Since butter rather than oil is most commonly used in traditional french cooking, I'm assuming the pans are designed to work best with butter? You only need a dab of butter so it's not really a health issue. Now I know why my mother( who was half french) always insisted on using butter rather than oil in her Le Creuset pans! After 40 plus years of daily use, my mother's Le Creuset pans are finally due for retirement(Boo hoo!) $200 is a lot of money for a pan, but if you can get 40 years of use out of them, it's well worth it.

Wusthof's reputation for quality knives, coupled with easy cleaning, sold me on this kitchen shears.

Contrary to the description, no plastic cap or screw removal is involved... over the normal cutting range of motion, these function just like any other quality kitchen shears... but thanks to some very nice machining of the joint, they come apart if the blades are opened all the way to 90 degrees.

The bevel machined into the joint seems to clamp the blades together as the shears are reassembled, ensuring that the blades fit closely and cut well. The handle is comfortable and symmetrical, so it should fit left or right hand equally well.

Perhaps shears aren't quite so glamorous as forged knives, but this is a well thought-out product and well worth the price.

There's a recipe I do that requires me to butterfly a chicken essentially cutting out the backbone. I've done it with cheaper German-made kitchen shears and it actually broke in my hand. This Wüsthof is a must have for this recipe it works very well. And the clean up is really easy: just take it apart and wash. Simple, easy to clean, tough, and essential.

I read a lot of reviews before I purchased these shears. The thing that was mentioned over and over again was how easy they came apart for cleaning. What they didn't say is the the shear come apart constantly when you're using them. For example: I was cutting an uncooked chicken apart and the shears opened (fell apart) 7 times. It was very aggravating. The plus size of the shears is that they ARE very sharp and should be easy to keep sharpened. I've opted to buy a different brand and style.

These replace an old pair of Fiskars shears, and it is useful to note a couple of differences between the Wusthof and Fiskars products. The Fiskars had a larger handle for the fingers and a smaller one for the thumb. The Wusthof is a totally symmetrical design, so it doesn't matter how you pick them up (nice when I am in a hurry) and left-handers can use them as easily as right-handers. Both come apart, but the Fiskars had a large and kind of awkward looking pivot while the Wusthof shears have a smaller and smooth joint better because it doesn't catch on things when you cut and it won't trap dirt. I looked at a couple of other shears when I bought the Wusthof's. One pair had a bottle opener, and I was concerned this would catch on things and collect dirt. The Henckel Twinshear was certainly nice, but pretty pricey at $50.

The Wusthof shears are positively reviewed by America's Test Kitchen and this is deserved. They are a quality product. They are made of German Solingen steel, which is a high quality steel that holds an edge well. The blades have small serrations and there is a section near the pivot for cutting more difficult objects (e.g., chicken bones). They cut very well. To me,they are a good size not too large or small. There is a pliers-like area below the handle that is intended to help with opening bottles. I have pretty large hands and find the shears fit comfortably.

These shears come apart easily for cleaning and, as other reviewers noted, the pivot joint is beveled to tighten the blades as they slide together. One reviewer noted that they are dishwasher-safe. I was always told that you don't want to put cutting blades in the dishwasher because it diminishes the tempering of the steel. Wusthof recommends hand-washing and I will be following that advice (as I do with all my knives, food processor blades, etc.).

Overall, I am very pleased with these shears. They are moderately priced, work well, and look like they will last many years.

These are essential shears. Scissors that do not come apart are not good for food; because, the food gets stuck and rots. These scissors come apart when you fully open them; and, they clean VERY easily. .

Followup: After washing in dishwasher; these rust. I bought some kitchenaid scissors for a tenth of the price that do not rust.

I totally agree, if you get the 5 inch skillet, get this lid. I found it also fits on the 14 oz melting pot. It does NOT fit the Sante Cabin cobbler pots (which are advertised as 5 inches, but apparently are about 6 inches).

This lid is the correct size and shape, it functions fine but it doesn't have a hole for a lid lifter so I'll need to bring the vice-grip along to take care of it. I'd love to see a hole for a ring or lid lifter from the factory so I don't need to void the warranty of the lid just to be able to use it with my lifter. If I had another one of the kettles that was in need of a lid I'd buy another lid.

I have a very complete set of Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless Cookware and it is fabulous. The quality and finish are superb. The handles are very securely attached with more rivets than the much more expensive All Clad cookware. The lids fit perfectly and the see-through tempered glass allows you to look inside to see if your water is coming to a boil without having to frequently lift the lid which allows heat to escape.

This 4 1/2 quart pot is just that: 4 1/2 quart capacity. Some lines of multi-clad cookware claim the pot or pan is a certain capacity, but it falls far short. Not Calphalon! If they say it's a 4 1/2 quart pot, you can count on it!

This pot has a loop-type "helper handle" opposite its main handle--a must when you get into a pot of this size. This makes it much easier and safer to move from the stove or to pour off hot liquids. Please note, this loop-style helper handle and the handles on the pot lids will get hot during stovetop cooking, so you'll need to use pot holders or oven mit to protect your hands. The long handles will stay cool enough to touch during stovetop cooking, but if you put the pan or pot into the oven, all surfaces will get hot and you will need hand protection.

This cookware is very sturdy and heavy with a layer of heat-transmitting aluminum sandwiched in between the outer and inner layers of stainless steel so it heats evenly and quickly. This aluminum layer runs all around the sides as well as the bottom of the cookware. If you are making delicate sauces that can scorch easily, you don't have to worry with this pot. I have cooked a lot of rice, cheese sauces, bechamel or starchy sauces but, with low heat and occasional stirring, they don't stick or scorch on the bottom of this sauce pot. They cook evenly and perfectly. Not even my (thinner) non-stick pots can do that!

You can use this cookware on all sorts of smooth cooktops, as well as on conventional gas or electric stoves. They have perfectly flat bottoms that maintain contact with the cooking surface. They won't warp with high heat. They can be moved directly from the stove top to the oven or go under the broiler.

All of my Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless cookware have a smooth pouring lip which I consider essential for any good sauce pot. If you are pouring hot liquids out of a pot with a straight side and no pouring lip, you never know where they will go. More often than not, they will run down the outside of the pot and all over the counter or floor! That has never happened when I use a pot with this well designed pouring lip.

Clean up is easy. I always hand wash my Calphalon Tri-Ply, as the manufacturer recommends. After cooking, I rinse out the pots and pans and run a little clear water in the bottom to soften any food residue while we have dinner. If you have some really crusted-on deposits on the bottom of the pan (this is called fond), deglaze the pan with a little plain water and turn a on a low heat under the pan. Stir for about one minute to scrape the food deposits off the bottom. They'll come off like magic. Let the pan cool, then wash in hot, sudsy water and use some Barkeeper's Friend for Stainless Steel cleanser for any stubborn food stains (such as starchy marks left from cooking pasta or rice). They'll clean up beautifully. Rinse well and dry them immediately to avoid any unsightly hard water spots that might dry on them otherwise.

A tip: Any stainless steel pot or pan can develop mineral stains if you add salt to cold water and then heat it to a boil. The salt won't dissolve in the cold water and it sits on the bottom of the pot or pan reacting with the heat from the burner under the pan. The resulting mineral stains may never come out but they will not affect the performance of the cookware in the slightest. Always wait until your water comes to a boil before adding any salt and stir it immediately so it will dissolve quickly. You will not have any problems with mineral stains if you do this.

If you are looking for quality cookware that will last a lifetime, I highly recommend this line of Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless Steel cookware. It's as good as the much more expensive All Clad, in my opinion, but much more affordable. I have some All Clad, but it's my Calphalon Tri-Ply that I use the most. They really are a lifetime investment and one that you may want to pass on down to your children.

These pans are the best. I've collected just about all of them over the years and have one in every size and style available. I also have the Calphalon Commercial, Calphalon One and All-Clad pans these Tri-Ply Stainless pans get the most use and are my all-time favorites.

It is the best pan i have ever used and is comparable to my All Clad in performace and looks. I bought the whole set and am very very happy with it. This pan is awesome. Love the extra handle on the side but I agree, it does get hot. Because of the thickness of this pan, I think there is less tendency for things to burn, at least that is my experience. Now I'm looking for deals on the other pans in this series so I can replace the pans I've been using for the last 36 years.

I bought this set while I was attending Law school in London. I had grown accustomed to great pots and could not buy a cheap pot set so I found these in the local TJ Maxx. I even shipped them home with me after finishing school!!

WMF is known for great quality items and this pot set is the epitome of this. It is high quality stainless steel with a sandwich bottom which ensures that it does not burn right through like the ordinary cheap pots. If I am not mistaken there is a strip of copper and this is a great heat conductor which will ensure an even distribution of heat and reduce energy consumption!

The look while you cook lids are awesome, I don't have to constantly remove the pot covers to see what is going on in my pot. The various sizes are good as well, but may not be adequate for a big family so you may want to consider getting the add on pieces.

This set is both functional and beautiful to look at and if they are on your stove when you have visitors you are sure to get compliments...I have!

All being said these pots require good care, you cannot use brillo pads or scotch brite on these pots because they are high polished and any abrasive cleaners will ruin the polished look. If you happen to burn the surface of your pot just simply add water and some dish liquid and leave it on the warm burner to soak off.

Consider purchasing a WMF WMF Profi Plus Washing Brush with Stainless Steel Handlepot brush to remove any excess stubborn food particles.

Great Pot set...it's worth every penny!! This would make a great wedding present or housewarming gift.

This was my first good pot set! I loved it and I did not ruin it at all. I just left it in the house when we moved into a new one. I found an excuse to try a new one!

It is a great set. I was mostly worried about the small handles. But to my surprise they did hold up well. While cooking on low heat I did not even needed to use pot holders and on high heat having boiled pasta or potatoes I would use pot holders anyway. It's like a seatbelt in the car you never know what might happen.

I was extremely unhappy with the cheap pot set that I owned before and I still recall making the experiment how much faster the water would heat up. It was easy to clean and it is also dishwasher safe. A great pot set if you do like to cook and do not want to spend a fortune on your set.

In the U.S. you can get All Clad or something made in China. I found that WMF sold in Europe is made in Germany, but when sold in the U.S. it's made in China. That at lease gave me a barometer of the quality. The loop handles make it easy to store in my lazy-susan and also are more apt to remind me of the option of putting them in the oven--making one less pot/pan/dish to scrub. I was surprised at how much better this cookware conducts heat that my Cuisinart. Instead of trying to boil something on my electric stove at 8 or 9 I only have to go to 5. It's a lovely set and I love using them.

I use these pots daily and love them! Granted I was use to only crappy pans beforehand but i feel these are supreme! I hardly ever have anything stick in them and love that we aren't eating Teflon in our meals anymore. They clean so easy, and look brand new still after 6 months of use. They have definitely made my life better, i wouldn't hesitate to buy them again :)

I bought this chafing dish for the holidays anticipating lots of family to entertain. It made keeping food warm for a crowd an easy task! This is an excellent chafing dish and heavy duty quality. Food doesn't dry out and the two compartments for fuel work very well and control the amount of heat to the pan of water below the food. The pan that holds the food holds a generous 24 cups of food and could probably hold more than this. This chafer is an excellent purchase if you want to serve a crowd of people.

I've go to admit, I have quite the collection of chafing dishes. Several models and sizes, do the amount of entertaining we do. I have some that cost a few hundred dollars, and I also purchased 2 of these at what I consider to be a very reasonable price. These chafer's function just as well as my very expensive chafer's. However, at a fraction of the cost. These chafer's will also accommodate all the optional chafing insert pans that my expensive chafer's use as well. So, these are very versatile depending on your food serving needs.

I noticed a comment regarding the proper water level to use, and maintain. Usually 3" of water is enough to maintain a consistent hot/safe food serving temperature, for about 4 to 4.5 hours of in use time. Its best to very HOT tap water when filling your chafer, as it takes less time and fuel/sterno to heat up the unit. Once the water and food items are HOT. I usually run the unit with only one sterno/fuel cell (centered). And this not only reduces excess steam, but also allows the unit to warm food longer, about 6 hours. Without the need to add additional water. It can be a bit of a task, if you need to add water, especially if the food trays still have food in them. I use my chafer's for entertaining indoors as well as outdoors. Once you start using chafer's, you're going to find, you have a lot more time to spend with your guests. Great price, great product. I bought both the traditional lidded Winware chafer (this item) and Winware's rolltop chafer. I was hoping the traditional chafer would meet my needs because it is about $100 cheaper, but alas, it looked and felt $100 cheaper. This traditional chafer is OK in its style and function, but is only suitable for casual parties and family get-togethers, in my opinion. The finish is not as shiny as the official image would suggest. Mine came with a fairly matte steel finish (like a steel refrigerator). The particular chafer I received had a significant quarter-sized mar in the finish that would be obvious to anyone using the chafer, so if you buy this be sure to check it carefully when it arrives. The rolltop is much, much more elegant with an awesome mirror finish, solid (heavy) construction, smooth rolling lid (so guests can open lid and serve themselves with one hand while holding a plate), and a large smooth handle that you could wrap a party-themed cloth around (like restaurants do). If you're getting a chafer for a casual Superbowl party or teen event, this traditional chafer would be just fine. I have not yet used either one so I have no opinion as to warming level, but I will update this if I encounter any problems with the rolltop. Also, I can't comment on whether the finishes hold up over time. I will be keeping the rolltop as we sometimes host fairly elegant parties and I think the rolltop will make the serving area "pop" due to its high quality and mirror finish.

I purchased 2 of these chafers for a party I was hosting at home. They worked very well at keeping my food warm and were the perfect size. The box said it came with 2 handles, a plastic black one that already came attached and a stainless steel one; however, the stainless steel handle was not included. Not a big deal since I wasn't anticipating it when I ordered them. At the end of the night, I found that one of the handles has broken off as well. The plastic handle doesn't seem to be sufficient for a lot of use, but hopefully an easy fix by going to a hardware store buying a replacement. Overall, I was very happy with the product that I received for the price that I paid.

I purchased 3 of these and used them last nite for the first time, at a party we threw. They worked wonderfully! My only critique is that there are no instructions included, I know how they work, but I would have liked to have some guidence on how much water to add to the steam pan. I added too much to the first one, and steam was pouring out the sides and then it was a pain to remove the food pan and remove some of the water. I guess that will be a matter of trial and error.

I have used the same NordicWare Pro Cast Original Bundt Pan for OVER 21 years with NO problems! (I bought this one as a gift for my Daughter and she is enjoying the same success.) Nordic Ware Pro Cast Original Bundt Pan. But you should NEVER USE ANY KIND OF SOAP on your NordicWare pans!!

After you have removed the cake, simply fill the HOT pan with tap water and let it sit a few minutes, Now use a SOFT BRUSH (the Way Clean 33030 Bottle Brush is AWESOME!) to swirl around inside the pan of water to loosen all crumbs. Rinse pan and set upside down in still hot oven. When dry, it is ready to use again!

Also, food release spray is ALL I use and my cakes NEVER stick. (Amazon carries a GREAT one: MOTHER'S Olive Oil Pan Coating , 6-Ounce Units (Pack of 4) which I use on ALL my pans on the cook top or in the oven.) Here's the secret: HEAT the Bundt pan in the OVEN as it preheats! Then (when batter is ready) remove the pan, spray well all over inside the hot pan. (Spray may pool in the bottom of the pan no problem!) Pour in your batter and bake immediately.

When the cake is done, set it on top of a cake box or other cardboard box to cool for 10 minutes. Line a jellyroll pan with parchment paper and tap the cooled cake firmly (upside down) over the paper. It will fall out perfectly. Now fill the hot pan with tap water, etc. for the next time.

Following this method will insure you a LIFETIME of glorious SUCCESS with your NordicWare Bundt pan! ENJOY!!

(This pan holds 12 cups of batter, so it makes a LARGE cake unless you fill it just halfway and make two cakes.)

I was using a lower grade bundt pan for my pound cakes. No matter how well I prepared the pan (using shortening and dusted with flour), the baked cake always stuck to the pan. This pan is well worth the money. Cake bakes evenly with no cold spots and never, ever sticks. Cake slides out evenly with no difficulty. Makes a beautiful presentation. It washes up very nicely and is very durable. Will be very difficult to put a dent in this pan! I highly recommend this bakeware! Sorry I did not purchase it sooner.

I was really hesitant to purchase any bundt pan, because I already have a Calphalon tube pan that I use for pound cakes. I thought about it and I actually like the presentation the bundt pan makes, so I bought this pan and I love it. My cakes cook well and they never stick. I baked banana bread in it and just used Pam cooking spray and it was perfect. I have read other reviews that suggested the oil and flour type cooking spray to get down in the crevices, but the Pam worked great!You might have to adjust the temperature, because the pan is very heavy and cooks really well. I like it a lot and I am going to make a Kahlua cake in it tomorrow.

For several months now my bundt cakes were coming out gummy and sticking to the sides and top of the pan. These are cake recipes that I have been making for years and it took me a while and a few purchasing mistakes to realize that the problem was not in my oven, or the ingredients but the fact that the newer pans I purchased to replaced my old leaking bundt pan were not up to snuff. The ones I purchased were not cheap had come highly recommended. I searched the internet for my problem and found and interesting article that described the problems I was having to a "T". The solution, was to purchase a quality bundt pan with excellent heat conduction. They recommended the Nordic Ware Pans.

My very first usage of the Nordic Ware Bundt pan, my cakes once again came out flawless. No sticking, no under cooking, perfect bundt shape and crusting. These are the closest you will get to a cast iron bundt pan. My Thanksgiving cakes were a disaster but the Christmas ones were magnificent. Although this is a non stick pan, you will still need to lightly grease and flour it. After removing the cake from he oven, allow it to rest in the pan for 10 minutes. Then you may remove it onto a plate. I guarantee it will literally slide out.

When shopping for a whisk last year I was tempted to get a somewhat cheaper one, until my husband pointed out that this one was particularly well-made, and the ferrule joined seamlessly with the wires -which meant no food residue trapped inside, easier cleaning and no rusting. Trust me, not all whisks have wires sealed in at the base!

Well, he was right. The contoured, easy-grip handle is a bonus. This whisk is so stury, I doubt I will ever have to buy another. It's also a good medium size, versatile for eggs and everything else I've ever needed a whisk for. Perfect!

As Norah Jones is singing something about love being a lost balloon, I am sitting here contemplating the sheer beauty of this whisk. Not only is this my new favorite whisk, it is truly well made. While making a custard filling for caramel éclairs (you know those magical éclairs in the Simply Irresistible movie) I found that the balloon shape and the way the wires adapt themselves to the shape of a saucepan was highly desirable.

For one thing, you don't want any clumping in a sauce or custard and things do tend to get clumpy if you can't get into the inner edge of a saucepan. With a bit of pressure, you can whisk into every inch of a saucepan. This is not always possible with a plastic whisk which is definitely not as flexible.

The handle on this whisk makes it easy to keep a grip and OXO is known for their ergonomic considerations. I think of it as an almost suede rubber that is not only comfortable to hold, it allows your hand to grip the handle more firmly.

Now the reason the 10 stainless-steel wires are so sturdy is because they are sealed into the base with a clear resin material. This also prevents food from building up and I throw this whisk in the dishwasher without fear.

If you bang the wires against your hand you can see how sturdy this whisk is and I can almost imagine that somewhere in the world someone is using this whisk as a musical instrument.

I couldn't decide between the 9" or 11", but I bought this one first to see if it would work for smaller jobs. I still may get a 9" non-balloon whisk, but more because I use my whisk a lot and hate cleaning by hand in between dishwasher runs. This whisk is perfect for baking because it aerates so well and is sturdy and comfortable. It doesn't work as well on just one or two eggs, but I still use it for now. The big plusses about this particular whisk are the handle and construction. As with all OXO good grip products, it is sturdy, comfy, and looks great.

The all stainless steel handle looks much nicer than this rubber one, but don't even think about it unless you're whisking something watery for only a couple minutes. When i'm preparing egg whites or baking, the handle makes a huge difference so I can continuously whisk. If you are planning to whisk egg whites at all, make sure you get a good grips whisk, whatever the size and shape. Also, a rounded, uncoated, copper bowl is mandatory.

Nice large size. Very comfy handle. Dishwasher safe. My old whisk had 5 wire loops that would jam into each other and bend funny (piece of junk). The Good Grips 11" balloon whisk has 10 wire loops that don't come into contact with each other, allowing for more thorough whisking. The plug in the handle where the wire loops go though is heavily sealed, keeping it very sanitary. It's really durable. It can whip up a half a dozen eggs in a big mixing bowl super quick (that's the most I've tried -I'm sure it can do more). Also great for large gravy making at Thanksgiving. Other than discoloration of the wire loops (after much use and dishwasher cleanings) it still looks and feels new.
