I have looked high and low for a one quart casserole dish with a lid for a long, long time. I have a 1 quart Corning Ware casserole with a lid that I have had for over 30 years. I love it because it is the perfect size to cook frozen vegetables in the microwave and it hold those small amounts of leftovers so well. Since there is only my husband and myself these days, smaller portions are the norm around here. The one quart is perfect and I love the little handles. I love it so much I think I will purchase another along with the 1-1/2 quart size. It will be perfect for making custard in. It will be easier to lift out of the water bath with those little handles when it is hot. And then there is the lid, so I can store it in the refrigerator. Thanks Amazon for carrying this item, I haven't seen them anywhere else.

Great product...good for making small bakes and easy to clean. Used it at 425 deg with no issues at all.
