This baker has so much going for it that I'm crushed it's flawed! I've been admiring it for a long time and decided to take the plunge. But, the lid doesn't fit! It doesn't seal, rendering the baker useless in situations where the recipe calls for keeping the dish covered and sealed in the oven. Also, it lets leftovers dry out in the refrigerator. I'm so disappointed; I thought Rachel Ray products would be fool proof.

I purchased the four-quart version in the vivid orange color as I wanted something noteworthy to transport and serve my holiday side dish I was taking to a dinner party. While the high handles make it a bit more difficult to fit into the oven or microwave, it did just fit into my friend's smaller-size microwave as I needed to reheat it just a bit--and it's a rather whimsical piece that is sure to start conversation. While it can't be used on the stovetop, the fact that it can go into the freezer, the microwave, and the oven is a big plus--and the fact that it comes with a lid made it even handier though I wrapped a sheet of foil over the top of the casserole before putting the lid on for transport. A set of the various other pieces in this range would be a great gift for a cook or a treat to add to one's own kitchen.

Used it once! Put it in the oven at 375 and it cracked in three places! What a joke! Funny thing is, is my mom bought one weeks again and her's did the same. Should have listened to her!

I liked my baker when I bought it. I used it about 4 times and then the last time I was cooking in it, I was making a chicken and rice casserole. I was standing in the kitchen thank goodness because I heard it cracking. I carefully picked it up and it hadn't cracked completely open to spill the food, but I couldn't use it anymore. It was barely holding together so I had to return it to Kohl's where I bought it. Knowing its a Rachael Ray product, you think you are getting something really nice and stable, but this was not!!! I am looking for a new and better dutch oven now.

I am so pleased with my purchase of Rachael Ray's 4-quart stoneware covered oval casserole. It cooks like a dream and cleans up in a hurry. It is just the right size to hold food for 4-6 people. The helper handles are so convenient. The blue is a beautiful cobalt blue color and coordinates perfectly with my dishes.
