The description says this wok weighs 6 lbs. But somehow it feels more like 10 to 15 lbs. It is heavy! Professionally constructed, this wok is probably bullet proof and will likely survive a nuclear war. The wok seasons easily and has better non-stick properties than most non-sticks out there. Since it is made of steel you can use metal utensils and cook like a real chinese chef.

This wok is nice and solid, but I'm having trouble removing the machine oil coat from it. I can't season or use it until the oil is gone. I tried many different things, but the oil is still there.

My only complaint is that the wok is a flat bottom and not round. I wanted an authentic round bottomed wok. I assumed that since in the description it stated: "a round base". Obviously I misinterpreted the exact meaning of what a round base or round bottom wok was supposed to be. My bad. However, this is an excellent well-built, armored wok. If you cannot cook with it, you could always bash your food into submission. Fortunately I haven't had to come to that yet. It's 3 mm thick walls and base holds onto the heat exceptionally well. Something you want when stirfrying if you do not have a very hot stove.

I have used carbon steel fry pans for years.This wok meets and exceeds my expectations.When seasoned properly it is just like a non-stick pan,I do all my cooking on a gas cook top the wok heats evenly sides and bottom because of its 3 mm thickness and the long handel stays cool. I would definitely recommend this wok to any cook or chef who wants to take there service to the next level....

I have no complaints about the quality of this wok,but

it came in a damaged, Amazon, plain brown box with brown wrapping. There was no invoice, no

instructions how to season the wok, and no recipe booklet. Nothing from the manufacturer at all. I could not give this to anybody as a gift for Christmas.
