I have been using Amico Household Stainless Steel Steaming Rack Stand, Kids Konserve Nesting Trio Stainless Steel Containers, and Aroma ARC-757SG 14-Cup (Cooked) Simply Stainless Rice Cooker for steam-cooking quinoa many times. So far so good.Best Deals for Amico Household Stainless Steel Cooking Ware Steaming Rack Stand
I bought this as a steam rack for my pressure cooker. It works as expected. It holds everything i put on it. No bending, breaking or rust or other issues after a couple months of use.Honest reviews on Amico Household Stainless Steel Cooking Ware Steaming Rack Stand
I chose this one over 3 or 4 other similar products I found in Amazon. I wasn't sure if this was really made of stainless because I have seen some unhappy reviews said the (other)products they received wasn't made of stainless and started to rust right away.Well, this one really IS made of stainless as far as I can see.
My first impression was how flimsy it looked out of the box. Then again, I compared to the sample photo and the real thing and sure enough, they look exactly the same. I just thought it would look thicker in my imagination. It supports quite a bit of weight despite its flimsy looking. I'm guessing probably up to 5 lbs. which is more than most things I put on.
Put that aside, it works as advertized. It lifts the plate, so you can put more water in the pressure cooker for the longer cooking time(for more tender meat or frozen meat, for example).
I also use this in combination of the bottom plate that came with the pressure cooker. They don't fit perfectly but with a little adjustment, they work together just fine.

Out of curiosity, I tried 10 lbs weight on it(room temp.). It flexed a little but held up. I placed the weight on it gently and carefully, so it wasn't a real life use situation, and also the heat may weaken the metal. I wouldn't recommend to put the food that heavy but it just shows the safe limit of the rack. I still believe you can put 5 lbs of food in real life use with confident.
