There are multiple peelers around and the difference in quality will astound you. I have tried a peeler from s local store, which did not work, and also tried the following from Amazon: the Nogent peeler, Wusthoff peeler, and two by Messermeister. Of the 3 the Wusthof was clearly the better one and worked well (the others would either get stuck in the vegetable, peel unevenly or inconsistently or not peel at all).
Yet, the Cuisineart took peeling to a whole new level. Peeling with the CTG-02-P2 was the EASIEST and SMOOTHEST. Gone were the repeated attempts and the struggles.
I am an away peeler, and use it mostly for cucumbers, potatoes, yams etc. Based on my experience, the Cuisinart CTG-02-P2 is the unrivaled king of peelers.

I loved this peeler and used it every day in the kitchen I work in...until it mysteriously "grew legs and walked away". I'm not sure who has it now, but I bet they love it too. I like the blade design of this peeler over other similar ones because it was easier to adjust the thickness of the shavings. It was also comfortable to use, and quite sturdy.

Wasn't even sharp enough to peel an apple. I returned it. Either not sharp enough or it is the fact that the grooves in the cutting surface aren't spaced properly. Didn't work for me.

I got this because my other peeler feel apart. It was not expensive but this peeler is very dull and much harder to to work with.

The blade section is very small and it doesn't peel well at all. Have to admit that the end does get out bad spots better than the Oxo though so I'll keep it for that purpose.
