I have no idea what KitchenAid was thinking when they decided the length of this thing but it is 15" long and no other spatchula I own is longer that 11", and most of that is handle, the working end is rather small.

I am sure it will last a long time, looks and feels very well made, might last even longer for me since it has already migrated to the back of the kitchen junk drawer sicne it does not fit with the other stuff (too long for the spot.)

Doesn't hold up to basic kitchen standards. Purchased from another vendor. After using it less than a dozen times with eggs and other kitchen basics, the edge started melting. I then found pieces of the spatula mixed with my food.

This has been a really great addition to our kitchen. It did not melt at the edge like all my other ones have. That is until my husband used it to make something in a skillet on high heat. So, it's great unless you use it on high heat.

My husband loves to cook, after using it he said it works better than most of our other tuners. He said he felt like he had more leverage, I think it is due to the hard end. It DOESN'T bend. The only thing I wish is that the handle was shorter, I was trying to find a smaller handled turner and this one just isn't. But it works great and the price was right.
