I have had this dish for less than a year and it split into two pieces after baking in it. I placed it from room temperature to a 325F oven (which hadn't even finished heating up) and baked for 30 minutes. I placed the dish onto a cork trivet when it was finished baking and it split right down the middle and popped open! I called customer service and they said it happens a lot and that it might not be covered under the warranty but if I would send it back to them they would either replace it or send me a coupon for a small discount for another item at their discretion. I have only used this pan a dozen times (or less) in about six months. I always hand wash it, I've never put it in the freezer. :( They tell me that this happens a lot with these pans and they recommend I put a cookie sheet UNDER the pan in case another cracks in the future (to protect my stove). Wow, thanks Le Crueset customer service representative. I read the instructions, I used it accordingly, and it breaks and you say it's because I preheated the oven!?! It only says don't put it from the FREEZER to a preheated oven!!!! They should specify room temperature may cause thermal cracking, too. No more Le Crueset stoneware for me!

I purchased this item based on the good reviews. I was primarily interested in purchasing an attractive dish. The red dish looks great -perfect for oven-to-table use. It was a pleasant surprise to find that food turns out so much better than with the Pyrex I was using. It bakes even and food stays moist. It is very easy to clean.

I ordered this product in June, used it once, and it cracked. I sent it back to Amazon for a replacement. Today, after 3 uses, the replacement cracked... A huge "POP POP" from a 375 degree oven. I pulled it out and yep, it was cracked all the way thru, straight down the middle. I will not use Le Creuset stoneware again.

This baking dish is such a delight to use that I have since purchased several more Le Creuset pieces in various sizes. Anyone accustomed to using glass baking dishes will immediately notice how much easier Le Creuset is to clean. Just soak it for a little while in warm, soapy water and even baked-on residue will wash away with ease. Since we are so pleased with our own Le Creuset items, my wife and I now give these casseroles as wedding presents, Christmas gifts, etc. They are always very well received.

I'll start by saying that I own a number of Le Creuset pans and stoneware dishes. I received this particular baking dish as a holiday gift from the in-laws, and as I was washing it after its inaugural casserole I noticed a hairline crack running the entire length of the thing. I called Le Creuset the next morning, explained the situation, and they readily exchanged it for a new one. Unfortunately the replacement developed the same side-to-side crack after I used it last night for the first time!

I'm going to talk with my MIL this afternoon to see if she's Okay with simply getting a refund from the manufacturer. This isn't the first Le Creuset stoneware item I've had develop cracks after a one or two uses, and I'm coming to the conclusion that they need to work on their stoneware manufacturing techniques.

The pan arrived on time and in perfect condition. It was easy to use and the cake released perfectly. My one criticism is that the cake itself was a little bit more squat in shape than I had wanted. I had hoped for a really round pumpkin. That being said, I corrected for the shape with the frosting and added a "stem" made from a flat-bottom ice cream cone frosted in dark green. I used various leaf-shaped cookie cutters to embellish the pumpkin and surrounded it with tiny acorn cakelettes. It was a big hit with the Birthday girl!

Arrived today, and it is absolutely AWFUL! How on earth did it ever get through their quality control? The finish is missing in places, is crusted and broken in others, then painted over so there are loose chips all over the pans. Other places have no finish at all. Would never use this, I'm sure chips would wind up in the cakes. And Made in USA is supposed to be superior to Made in China. I'm thinking this would have NEVER passed quality control in China! Yikes! I don't blame Amazon, they are just boxing and shipping these. but geesh, Nordicware should be ashamed. Fortunately, Amazon makes returns super easy and it's already boxed to go back.

At less than six bucks, and free delivery I couldn't pass it up. I tested it out on some thin strips of steak and it cooked them up wonderfully. I can think of only a few uses for this, but at the price I figure that I could buy a few and have a "make your own fajita" party or something and then throw them away if they aren't worth storing.

The overall manufacturing seems good, though I would have expected/hoped that the grilling surface was a little more substantial (cast iron) rather than pie-tin-thin.

My children and I use this OUTSIDE for fajitas and end up surrounded by neighborhood children and adults! We're the hit of the neighborhood and finish off our meals by popping off the top (be careful, it's hot!) by using the included forks for s'mores!

This is a versitile, not-for-adults-only indoor and out grill. It's very attractive, quite the conversation piece, easy to set up and to clean.

We use it much more than I ever dreamed. Originally I'd envisioned using it for romantic tete-a-tetes or for entertaining but surprisingly a pleasant surprise this grill has evolved into a useful and used often family cooking staple! Just add water and a sterno and voila! It cooks anything you would normally grill, just make sure your meats are thinly sliced. Heat and eat! Yum!

My eight-year-olds (well supervised of course) LOVE "showing off" before their friends. What a hit at slumber parties! Barbecue indoors! Conversation piece galore! Of course this makes for perfect gifting too: Neighbors, friends, teachers, coaches, babysitters, PTA donations... endless!

I bought this as a gift for my sister, who didn't think she would use it. It works very well and we have a ball slicing chicken, veggies, scallops -whatever. Make a few sauces and sit around the table grilling and chatting until you are full. Great for entertaining with a glass of wine. Something different and fun. Works very well and easy to clean. Big to store, but I don't have much space. It is also really smokeless.

I have looked a long time for this product and have found few. However the rivet in the middle of the pan is usually very large and does not work well when you are baking very thin layers of cake. When I received these pans (I ordered 12) I was soooo excited. The rivet is almost flush with the pan bottom and they are exactly what I was looking for. I am planning to order more. I purchased 4. They all perform perfectly. I grew-up using my mother's pans that she received in 1948 as a wedding gift. She still has them and they work great. I have been looking for a set like them throughout my shopping life, so I was surprised when I found them here on accident. I do miss the patina? that has developed on my mother's over the last 60 years. Hers will actually release without the use of the cutter.

I bought this set because I own several pieces of their Infinite line. Infinite is heavier, has thicker sides, a heavier nonstick coating and they have metal lids, this is everything that the Premier Professional line is not. I am not fond of glass lids, but I figured it might be time to adjust since this set seemed so attractivealmost every piece I desired, I wish that I hadn't caved because they are this set's weakest link. The metal that encircles the lid is not impressive at all, and worst of all there is a gap between it and the glass that captures water and you can never get it all out. I have to wonder if trapped moisture isn't one reason these type of lids shatter. As I said, they are also light, and the material at the sides is thin, if not for the weight of the disk on the bottom these would feel like pans you could buy at the dollar store. But hey, I can see how that might be attractive for people looking for lighter cookware. IMO, I don't think this set will last as long as my Infinite pans which get daily use, furthermore, I'd bet that they're not as dishwasher friendly either. The non stick coating seems thinner than on the Infinite. I could tell how thin it was because a couple of pieces had tiny "flea bites" that were absent of the coating.

What I did like is the color, the handle style and material, the number of pieces and their sizes. I'm so disappointed because I really wanted to like these pots and pans. I really hate this era because quality is disappearing, along with good customer service, which is why I chose to buy Circulon instead of Cuisinart. I didn't buy Circulon's Symmetry line because of reviews by others, who also owned Infinite, where disappoint stating that Symmetry isn't as good. Well Neither is the Premier Professional. One last thingI believe this line was specially made for Costco since everything on the bottom of the box stated "Costco", it looks more like Elite's handles and I believe the rest is all Symmetry. For these reasons, I don't think the Premier Professional set is worth the current price of over $200.

These roasting forks are very long and allowed us to sit further back from the camp fire while roasting hotdogs as well as marshmallows for our s'mores. The wooden handles are an excellent touch and adds some class to the metal forks. The handles are 8" long and have ridges in the middle to help grip them. The metal forks are 3/16" thick and 26" from the tip of the fork to the handle. The forks themselves are 4" long.

The forks seem durable. You could probably bend them with your hands if you wanted to, but you would actually have to try to bend these. They come with red plastic tips to put on the end of the forks. Try not to lose the tips because they are easy to misplace. I tossed the tips in an unused bowl for safe keeping.

These roasting forks made the camping trip more enjoyable and other than some scorch marks on the metal, they held up very well. Just be prepared for the grueling job of scrubbing burnt marshmallow off them.

One of the other reviews says these aren't sturdy enough for more than marshmallows. Well, we used them for hot dogs over and over and they've been just fine. The stem (for lack of a better word) is long enough that our 7 y.o. was able to do her own hot dog without her body getting too close to the fire. I also like the little bag that comes with them makes it easier to keep them together and stored.

Great for kids and camp-outs.

I know but the coat hanger is free. Well when we purchased these coat hangers were the norm for the past 20 years for us. After these arrived my kids and adults wait their turn now to use because of how sturdy they are and you can quadruple the marshmallow count (more s'mores please) and double the hotdog count. The hotdog is tricky depending on the brand and length but all seem to work. The length could be longer but with the thickness (steel) and thicker wooden handle it is very comfortable to use. The pouch it comes with it is the only negative I can give it because its so thin that the ends start poking thru. Not enough of a negative to drop a star. They clean up is pretty easy and can be put in dishwasher but we don't due to the length and don't want the handles to come off. We found if you spray a light coat of cooking spray when doing marshmallow's it makes clean-ups very easy. Be careful though that you don't point the forks down toward the fire because they will fall off the end with the cooking spray on them when the marshmallow gets hot.

I can't rate this product for what the title says it's used for (hot dogs), since I bought them to roast marshmallows.... I gave it three stars for a marshmallow review only.

Things I like:

*it's a set of four

*hand-dandy carrying bag

*can put multiple marshmallows on one stick at a time

*long, so you don't have to worry about burning yourself at the fire (we have young kids using these at our fire pit and weren't worried about their safety while roasting)

Things I don't like:

*difficult to store since they are long and don't fold

*discolor after use in fire

*marshmallows don't come off easily after having been cooked over the fire

The pie maker will not properly brown the top crust because the center top will not come in contact with the top of the maker. Breville recommends using pie crust on the bottom and puff pastry on the top because it will puff up more and make contact with the top plate. It does but the puff pastry does not fully bake so you have a browned top with soggy layers underneath. The crimped edges are very thin so they will over-brown before the rest of the pastry is done. So don't buy this to make pies it will just frustrate and annoy you.

On the other hand if you want to make little pizzas or stuffed sandwiches using bread dough, or little quiches crustless or with crusts using something like refrigerated crescent roll dough you will have a great time turning out tasty snacks. Also does a decent job with pot pies mainly because you can add enough filling so the dough does contact the top of the pie maker. All fillings have to be pre-cooked before using in the pie maker. If you were to make a sweet pie filling with enough body to allow mounding you would be able to get a browned top crust.

I'VE NEVER HAD A BAD PIE YET; ALWAYS COOKS PERFECTLY JUST USING PILLSBURY ALL-READY PIE CRUSTS FOR ME:

I'll start by saying Breville gives you a cookbook for ideas with this (a tiny one) and the pies in the recipes are made with regulary pie crust on the top and bottom for the most part. They suggest, for ease, you can use something like the Pillsbury all-ready pie crusts. The directions say if you don't fill the pie bottom up full enough that you won't get a browned top as it won't contact the top of the "pie oven plate" but I have had no issue with that. If you start your pie making and simply fill the base fill a bit over the top so you know it's full, you'll always have perfect crusts...I've never had one yet that was uncooked or not perfect in about 5 minutes...you get an idea very quickly of how much filling to put inside. I don't even measure; it is quite simple to figure out. If you only put a tiny bit of filling, naturally the top pie crust would sink down into the bottom crust rather than hitting the top baker plate...it's just easy.

MAKES GOURMET MEALS AND SIDE DISHES, NOT JUST DESSERTS:

Now then, don't limit yourself to dessert pies in spite of how good they are...this makes leftovers into a gourmet dish and makes gourmet side dishes that wow guests. Even some main dishes! No need to guess what size to cut the pies, it comes with a cutter for both top and bottom as well as an inset to press the bottom pie crust to the bottom of each pie pan.

I don't eat meat and my honey does so we have lots of meat leftovers. This has made him feel like he gets gourmet dishes rather than leftovers. For example, you can use hamburger and combine with mashed potatoes, some veggies, a bit of pasta sauce and you have mini shepard pies. A fabulous dinner party side dish is a wild mushroom filling...I saute some with thyme and rosemary, olive oil, butter, gruyere cheese, heavy cream pepper...you get the idea. And if you have a bread maker, use the dough setting to make bread encased treats like pizza or sandwich fillings. Bread dough is also great for breakfast pies with eggs and fillings like cheese and sausage or veggie sausage. Eggs and potatoes work well too and Mexican eggs with salsa, cheese, and green peppers is lovely. Those all work with pie crusts, dough, or puff pastry.

More pie crust stuffed ideas include: Leftover meatballs are made into Italian pies with mozzarella and sauce. Taco meat leads into Mexican pies a few days later. Stuff with the seasoned meat and cheddar then, when done, serve with chopped lettuce, tomato, and sour cream.

(Vegetarians get some wicked main dishes too...use soy meat with the above, instead, or make some veggie filled pies.) You can do salmon and dill pies with peas for seafood eaters, you can do beautiful miniature quiches for breakfast or lunch, you can cook adorable muffins in it, (yep it does muffins! See recipe in the cookbook sent with it.) gruyere and onion pies, steak and potoatoes leftovers turn into a barbecue pie with some barbecue sauce topping those steak and potatoes, ham and potatoes turn into scalloped ham and potato pies by adding cheddar cheese...turkey or veggie pot pies are also a snap and good enough for a luncheon or dinner with guests. I enjoy an individual pie with soup...even a simple soup like tomato. Chili that is leftover is great topped with cheese and tomato and enclosed in pie crusts too!

MAKES ONE CRUST PIES AS WELL:

but don't feel like you need to top it with a topping...You can do superb little pumpkin pies, for example. Really any kind of pie!

I strongly also suggest the cookbook called "Mini pies" which will give you loads of ideas. But you'll likely come up with lots on your own the more you use it. Try the s'mores pies!

I use the Pillsbury ready made pie crusts, I have used puff pastry too, and I also make my own pie crust in no time in a food processor (lots of recipes available on the net.)

One sheet of Pillsbury pie crust makes 2 pies, a box makes all 4 but you'll have leftover crust to make more after you cut them if you just roll them out or you can use it to make decorative pieces on the top crusts like a heart or leaves or a pumpkin.

SAVE TIME BEFORE SCHOOL OR WORK;

This is my favorite part..it makes some of the best breakfasts you'll ever eat and you can premake all your pies on the weekend. Almost any premade breakfast meal in the store is loaded with artificial stuff and tastes like it. One of the most delicious breakfasts I've ever had is a pie layered with leftover mashed potatoes, cheese, and eggs. It's incredible. I don't eat meat buy my honey does...so I do bacon, eggs, and cheese or sausage, eggs, and cheese for him. To die for. I make a few different kinds (even a Texas one with refried beans, potatoes, eggs, and salsa for example) on the weekend and just put them in the fridge during the week to grab and go after microwaving. You can even cut them in half and eat them easily with your hands while driving if you are really pressed for time! You can crsip premade pies in the oven for about 10 minutes or less too, or you can freeze them and reheat if you want to make a big batch to have for later. They freeze well.

When I do the eggs in my breakfast ones I just do one egg per pie depending upon how much other stuff I'm adding to the pie. You might need 2 eggs if you are doing just egg and cheese. I don't add milk or water to scramble as I like them scrampled and still dense in the shell but you can do that too.

This was given to me as an engagement gift and I've used it a few times a week...it still hasn't grown old on me. Because I used it for so many different dishes and tastes. It does well as a gift...when I first saw it I thought no way would I eat so much dessert that I'd utilize this but as soon as the recipe suggestions inside the directions were perused, I had loads of ideas.

TIPS IF YOU DON'T READ THE DIRECTIONS:

You should season it prior to the first use by rubbing veggie oil on it and wiping off. After that there is no need to grease. It cleans easily with just wiping it down.

The first time you use it you need to preheat it twice. The first burns off anything on it then you preheat it again (meaning the green light comes on), have your pie filling ready, put the bottom crusts in after preheating and press down with the provided press. Fill each shell quickly and put the tops on if using tops...close and you can check after about 5 minutes to see if it's done depending upon what kind you are making.

Coming up with ideas is nearly as fun as making them...I see this as a fun activity with kids as they are easy so kids could help and come up with new recipes and you have dessert in about 10 minutes...or dinner!

GREAT GIFT BECAUSE WHO HATES PIES?

I'll likely send one to my brother's family for Christmas...this pleases both the kids and the adults, afterall, and gives them a fun activity together in making pies for everyone. I know my nieces will enjoy it. And, because my brother and his wife love too cook too, it's a fun gadget for them as well.

I love this little pie maker but to get the full use out of this I think you need to open your mind to what a pie is. The other reviewer is correct, it can be hard to get a nice brown on a top crust, If you are making a double crusted fruit pie you need to over fill to create a mound. I find it's easier to just not worry about the top crust and put a glaze over it once it's cooled. My husband actually likes it better that way. My favorite thing to make is shepherd's pie. I use a bottom crust, meat filling, mashed potatoes and I even put some cheese on top. The second favorite is deep dish pizza, which people love. You do have to play with it a bit to get the hang of it but isn't that true for all new things? Probably the worst thing about this, I can be in the kitchen all morning making all kinds of pies and a hurricane of men come through and wipe me out in seconds. :(

When it's just the two of us I make 4 pies for dinner, I eat one and my husband may eat 2, which leaves one for me as a snack the next day. My husband has also taken these to work the next day and while the pie isn't hot, if wrapped up it will stay warm in the middle and the crust won't be soggy. How great is that you can make your own hot pockets wit the fillings you want.

I tried using the puff pastry once, I'm not a big fan of it but it did make the pies look pretty. I didn't have a problem with the tops not cooking all the way through, it was just more pastry than i wanted. I make more savory pies than anything, the pies also freeze well for a quick mid-week meal. I just don't feel like cooking after a long day of work. If I don't have pre-made pies whipping up a few is pretty easy and quick. I just look to see what leftovers I have, and you can use just about anything, and I always have some pre-made pie dough. Just roll out the dough, cut with provided pie cutters, drop in dough, drop in filling, drop top crust if desired, close lid, wait 8 minutes and dinner is ready.

I bought and paid for a NEW unit. I received a FACTORY REFURBISHED unit. In addition, the FACTORY REFURBISHED UNIT was USED! It still had baked on food and crumbs in it!

The Breville machine is great, but you should buy it from a reputable company. I don't think this company is reputable.

Amazon provided me with a way to return the dirty, used, Refurbished unit to eCom. But, I wound up buying the machine elsewhere because I didn't see any NEW machines other than on eCOM...and I didn't trust them to provide a NEW unit.

Since it was a FACTORY REFURBISHED unit, I was over-charged for a NEW unit.

When I opened the outer box, I saw where it said FACTORY REFURBISHED on the inner box. I was upset. But I opened that box thinking maybe I could get a refund if the machine looked new. But I knew right away that there was a REAL problem when the plastic around the machine was sealed with WHITE MEDICAL TAPE!!! It made me a little sick to think that someone used medical tape to repackage the machine. What kind of disease did the shipper have to have white medical tape on that machine? When I opened the plastic bag to see the machine, I found that the pie areas were dirty, had food particles in them, and the entire top of the pie areas had piecrust stuck to them, and crumbs all through it. What could be worse? Refurbished! Used! Dirty!

I was horrified to see there was old dirty food in the unit. And the smell was terrible.

This company should be fined for selling something as disgusting as that, and stating that it was a NEW machine.

There is just NO excuse for them sending out a product in the condition of the unit I received.

This has been my absolute worst shopping experience.

The only thing I could imagine worse, would be if bugs had been in the unit too.

But it's not impossible that there are some in it,(way inside the machine) and I just don't see them.

Because the Breville itself was not at fault, I went to another online store, and purchased the Breville there. Don't judge the machine by the eCom company that provided the dirty one.

Buy it...but buy it at some place other than eCom.

I was given the pie maker as a gift and have been amazed how easy and great tasting these pies come out. I've used the pie crust on the bottom and puff pastry on the top, as instructed and they come out beautifully. First tried a banana and carmel pie for dessert, which was great, then a sauteed onion and cheese pie to go with eggs for breakfast. Love this machine.

I am very disappointed with my purchase. This press pot is made in China and the quality is not at all what I expected. It's described as stoneware, but it actually seems like run-of-the mill pottery to me. Sure it's hefty compared to a glass press pot, but its weight is nothing compared to other stoneware pieces I own. When I got this, the mesh part of the plunger was misshapen and I didn't think it would be a big deal but now after only two weeks of use the 'durable' interior is completely scratched. None of this would be bothering me if I hadn't spent so much money. I looked at some of the glass pots but I was swayed by the Le Creuset name. I had put a lot of the matching Le Creuset pieces on my wishlist, but after seeing what it's like in person I'm going to take them off.

I bought this for a Christmas present for my husband. We had it 2 weeks and it cracked and broke. Not the quality I expect for the price and the name. Would not recommend buying this one

Pretty blue. Comfortable to pour. Filters coffee and presses well. Handle placed well for comfortable pouring. It cleans up great thanks to the excellent finish on the Creuset stoneware. A bit pricey, but it will probably come down after it's been on the market for a while.

Not lightweightthough that's not a surprise.

When making coffee, be aware of the spout on the inside of the canister. The water must not come over that point, or the coffee grounds will get into your coffee. So I fill it about half way, put the plunger in, and the fill some more, so I can fill it all the way up. THis works fine for me, but may turn other users off.

for $20, this would get 5 stars.

for $40, this would get 4 stars.

The color (Marseile) was not as vibrant as the rest of our Le C product's. It came disassembled (the press part) with no instructions. (Although the folks at LC were very helpful and have very good customer service) It chipped almost immediately. It was made in China. I was so excited to buy this for my hubs who loves LC and french pressed coffee this was a bummer. Save your money.

I was swayed into buying this because my stepfather saw "Le Creuset" and "Stoneware".

First of all, I'm a potter. This is NOT stoneware. It's normal pottery, and I've made better than this.

Second of all, I was led to understand that this is a good, sturdy brand that won't break on me when I'm using it, much less in transit.

It arrives, I open the box, and what do I see but a solid break in the pot from the lid down, two inches long, an inch wide, and the piece broken off, floating in the box.

Le Creuset is expensive, pretty "stoneware" with all the quality you would expect from something made in China that would be given to a toddler.

I do not reccomend buying.

Because it is made in China, it is an inferior product compared to what is made in England. There appears to be a lack of quality control of portmeirion products manufactured in China which I addressed in a e-mail to the home office. Their quality control people work out of Hong Kong so I don't think they spend as much time in mainline China because they are having too much fun in Hong Kong.

Pormeirion products made in China are thinner, more fragile and the colors are duller.

Great basket, a nice big size that stores several small plates (and holds the weight)

Beware of shelf thickness I thought it wouldn't be a problem, but apparently our pantry shelves are ever so slightly thicker than the brackets are designed for, which means the 'arms' stick up a little on the shelf above it. We strategically put plates around it so it wasn't an issue, but FYI!

I definitely like the extra space this under cabinet basket provides, but I do wish it was a couple inches deeper so that I could store aluminum foil and other wraps without having them stick out a few inches. Otherwise, it's exactly what I expected and seems very sturdy.

I've put everything from foil to napkins in this tray. It's really handy and sturdy. The grips are long enough that it doesn't come off of the shelf it's on. It is a little slippery, if you have a longer shelf, it will slide around.

I was very surprised at how light weight this large stock pot was. It was also a lovely blue color. So I expected a less than stellar performance. But I was again surprised at how well it withstood high temperatures in boiling pasta. it also cleans up very quickly and efficiently, as enamel does. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
