The overall construction of this product is average. This company certainly does not compare -in price or construction -to Lodge, a competitor which also produces cast iron cookware.

The edges of this product are a bit sharp. I have cut myself on the unfinished, rugged edges while cleaning this particular item.

All in all, the item is very handy, and I am happy with my purchase. Just be careful with cleaning and handling!

Also, to note, the lid fits very nicely.

Since buying an induction cooktop I have been having difficulty with cookware compatibility. This fills the gap between dutch oven and frypan. I use this pot for deep frying and rice cooking. It is irreplaceable. Very heavy.

I purchased 2 of these for nostalgic purposes. I loved them at first, although seasoning them was a rather miserable experience compared to other pieces I have seasoned over the years. Once seasoned, they cooked up foods right nice. But the seasoning tends to chip and flake often about every other use, this goes into the food you are cooking. I will re-season it, yet it continues to re-flake. I am keeping them mostly for nostalgic appeal at this point. The lid doesn't fit flush either, the craftsmanship isn't all that great. So far the best use for these are decorating my fireplace! And that's where they now live, collecting dust.

Just poor quality. Seasoning is bad and the slag on the seams has to be ground off. I would have been better off spending a little more for better quality.

Pot was larger than expected, with a very coarse surface. Coated with wax, which messed up the floor of my oven during curing. I have several cast iron products from lodge, and compared to those, this is very unwieldy and poor constructed. Tossed it in the trash after the second use.
