EDIT: Dec 2012: i measured it, this one is only 2 and 1/2 inches longer than the Calphalon brand, it just seems longer. However, this one is rated for up to 400degF; the Calphalon fork is only rated for 250degF, and the tips of the Calphalon's tines/points have begun to bend upwards. The Oxo is still in great shape though after months of regular use.

This was the perfect addition, has performed well, seems to have good heat resistance and the tines seem to be thick enough so as not to break.Best Deals for OXO Good Grips Nylon Fork
This is the nicest nylon/plastic fork I've ever owned. The tines are good and sturdy and can lift good-sized pieces of meat. Like all Oxo products it's a good value. Price is very good, it's dishwasher safe, it does the job and no scratches in expensive Calphalon cookware.Honest reviews on OXO Good Grips Nylon Fork

We are very pleased with this OXO Nylon Fork. OXO products in general are great. We use this fork toturn bacon on our griddle without fear of scratching the teflon surface. I am going to order one more today.... so I'll have
one for each hand! I would highly recommend this utensil.
