This is a relatively short (~25 minutes) demonstration of cast iron cooking over charcoal. Six dishes are demonstrated: Biscuits, Scrambled eggs, Huevos Rancheros, Sesame Chicken stir fry, Honey Barbeque Salmon, Turkey and Wild Rice soup, and Very Berry Buckle (which demonstrates the technique of stewing, frying, stir frying, grill frying and baking in cast iron skillets and dutch ovens.
The recipes are relatively simple and look good, and there is some discussion of technique. But the tone is generally that of an infomercial, extolling the merits of Lodge cast iron products. I own quite a bit of their products and have no argument that Lodge ironware is the best (and only) cast iron still produced in the United States (although they could polish their skillet bottoms better as was done in ironware prior to the 1970s). While all the essential stuff is covered, a lot of the video is devoted to demonstrating specific Lodge products.
I was hoping for a more in-depth coverage, this video is adequate, but really a very short introduction to the subject.
