I hate to say it. I didn't like this product. It didnt feel solid and the locking mechanism was confusing. I ended up getting the OXO silicone tip tongs. I love dream farm but this one didn't work for me. Also know this if for the 9 inch.

Tongs lock every time they close and require you to release them at the back of the tool by pushing in the lock mechanism. Useless for nearly everything you would use tongs for in your kitchen.

Got this as a 'test' of the whole crooked handle thing. Wife loves it, I love it, it's great. Seriously buy one, it does exactly what it says it will.

I used these when cooking sauteed veggies. Never a worry about scratching the surface of the pan. 4 stars only because I don't think the clicker-switch works as well as I would like (it locks the open/close operation.) That part is annoying sometimes. Otherwise I love'm!
