This may seem silly...My wife and I honeymooned in Paris and our hotel restaurant used these carafes to serve water. I thought the design was very cool and tried to remember the name. Several months later it came to me so I searched it out because at the time I wanted to have one for home. Now I do! Now every time I pull it from the fridge and pour water I can remember our time abroad. That and this carafe works very well, excellent design. Simple and pretty.

I have been enjoying this pitcher for a couple of weeks. It holds 1.5L which is massive. It looks great. Had to move the shelf in the fridge to make room for it but I love it.Best Deals for Menu Water Jug

I've been looking around carafe... and this is a winner for me.1. BIG! (1.5 L)... no reason to get small ones (you can just use a big cup if your looking for something small)... BIG enough for small party.
2. Solid opening (though, wish there is a directional spout, but no big deal)
3. Love the weight detail to keep the opening to fall our while pouring
4. Thick enough glass (I think it's about 3/16" inch) and solid feel in your hand

I was searching on-line for water containers designed for infusion with fruits, etc. and was so glad to come across the Menu water jugs. So unlike the ugly plastic ones you typically see. I couldn't get a feel for which size I needed so because they are a little pricey I initially bought the small one. Absolutely loved it, but definitely feel that size is suited for only one person (or 2 at the most). It only holds a couple glassfuls of water, if that depending on the size of your glasses. Since I wanted them for entertaining as well, I then bought the larger one. I was initially concerned it might be too unwieldy to handle because of its volume, but it's not! That size was much better for entertaining, though I had to refill both constantly as they were such a hit. Everyone remarked on them, on their beauty, ease of handling and convenience of pouring without removing the lid. I am so happy to own them and plan to keep the small one filled daily for my personal use. I can't say enough about them. Their only downsides are their price (but I find them well worth it) and that the glass is somewhat thin, which probably contributes to their ease in lifting even when full. It shouldn't be a problem but you need to be extra careful handling them. I imagine the larger one could be difficult for some to store, also, as it is tall but I have a china cabinet I can store tall items in. I didn't have a problem fitting either one in my refrigerator but my top shelf and side shelf can accomodate taller items. You can also skip putting the taller one in the refrigerator and just fill it with iced water. If you are looking for a glass container for infused water that is beautiful and easy to handle, this is the one for you!
