you need to soak the pot in water for 10 minutes before use and then place the pot with your recipe in it in a cold oven and preheat the oven with the pot in the oven. i baked stuffed bell peppers in this pot as my first use. they turned out great! i like my dishes healthy and my cooked veggies slightly raw.

A GERMAN FRIEND OF MINE HAS THREE CLAY POTS. SHE COOKED ME A ROAST AND ALSO A MEATLOAF IN HER CLAY POT. THE MEAT MADE ITS OWN JUICES AND THE FLAVOR WAS SO TASTY. I KEPT THE GREAT TAST IN EVERY BITE. I WOULD SURELY RECOMMEND THE PRODUCT TO ALL I KNOW.THIS IS TOTALLY DIFFENT COOKING COMPAIRED TO A COCKPOT. YOU DONT HAVE TO ADD ANYTHING BUT YOUR MEAT OR WHATEVER YOU ARE BAKING. LOVE IT.
