I bought this along with a Lodge cast iron skillet. I did not read the description fully that said it's only works up to 250 degrees. So I was quite surprised when I tried to use this to get a cookie sheet out of the oven (baking at 350) and nearly burned my hand. The heat immediately came through the thinner parts of this pot holder ouch! I still gave it 4-stars as it seems to work well if you use it properly. However, I really don't have much of a use for a pot holder that can only handle up to 250 degrees. Oh well... lesson learned! :)
