This is such a nice tea pot. I did not know it was electric, however, I absolutely love it. The water heats up very quickly. The pot goes on top of the heating element, so you can remove the pot when the water is hot a bring it wherever you want without having to take the cord along.

This kettle looks great and heats water very quickly. The only down side is that there is no insulation and the outside of the kettles gets pretty hot.

I bought one for my mother-in-law last year, who thought it was the best thing in the world, so I bought another one for my mother this year, who also thinks it is the best thing in the world. Someday, I may even buy one for me!

Picture shows a deep, matte, brushed red. Actual product looks like a cheap, shiny, scratchable, light red plastic (though it is stainless steel).

Picture shows no logo when kettle is viewed from shown angle. Actual product has Kalorik logo from same angle and another Kalorik label when kettle is rotated clockwise 180 degrees.

Picture shows no "hot" symbol. Actual product has triangular "hot" symbol.

Other comments:

Exposed metal portion of handle is scratched and rusted.

Everything else is as depicted.

Bottom line:

Dissatisfied with misleading, photoshopped photo and cheap quality. In utter disbelief at how cheap this looks and feels. Returned.
