I purchased this item for making soap. It's the perfect size because it's not too big or too small. It's large enough that I don't have to worry about splashing my counter tops (or myself) with lye or oils. I also purchased an induction hot plate to use with this item, but I'm pleased that it can accommodate both my electric stove top and the induction top. The material is sturdy and well constructed.
