I purchased this set to go with the Silver Tear flatware set. Both are beautiful. I would have to agree with an earlier post that both the flatware and hostess set are substantial and heavy; a good thing in my opinion. Very pleased and would highly recommend!

I cannot say a thing against this Silver Tear pattern. I found it at Amazon when looking for new stainless for my new condo that I am decorating with a beach/coastal theme. The pattern name may be Silver Tear, but to me it looks just like some twisted rope that one would use to attach an anchor to a boat. I've had this set about six weeks and I just love it. It looks really nice and has a bit of weight to it. The serving spoons are quite large.
