The roaster was sent to me in a box that was too small. It wouldn't fully closed & was held together with tape. The roaster itself was damaged. The handle was dented in and the finish was scratched off in a number of places. There are times when one doesn't need a high-quality, expensive Dutch oven: a roasting pan will do. I had one like this for years but accidentally left it with a friend. So I searched for a replacement online, and I'm very happy with this one! (I mainly use it as a "bain marie" for baking cheesecakes, but I roasted a chicken in it tonight -I brought it with me as I'm staying in a house without much cooking equipment -and the chicken came out perfectly cooked.) It washes up easily, and it's light enough to easily stick in your suitcase.
