I would give this a zero if I could. Although it appears to be well made and performed wonderfully at first, I wound up with a batch of chowder (cooked at med-low heat) burned/melded to the bottom of a two-month-old pot. It was impossible to remove. After trying a number of cleaning products, I contacted the manufacturer. They told me "some" of these were defective. Right. As if they didn't know this when they made it available at a greatly reduced price. Not surprisingly, Caphalon has shifted manufacturing to China. Yet another crappy, potentially dangerous product by a formerly reputable company. I won't be buying from Caphalon again.

This is a really great price for a 12 quart Stock pot. I have an original one made here in the USA. It is much heavier and better quality than the new ones made in China
