I've read on another sites, reviews that it doesn't whistle, another said rust in two days. Hey for $19 and free shipping it's hard to beat. Works great, looks great and whistles like a steam engine. It's instructions, as in most kettles say, don't leave water in them, but I do and it hasn't shown any indication of rust. So far so good, I recommend this kettle.

This kettle is thinly made and can dent easily. The first sign of trouble was when the paper inside said it may rust but its supposed to be made of stainless steel. It says to drain every time. I've used kettles for years and am really unhappy with this one. The wife picked it out from all the Tea Kettles I could on-line, and there were well over 100 of them. She is a shopper but even she got tired of looking at all the available tea kettles! But when she saw this one, game over. She liked the size (there are just the two of us) and she really liked the design. Then it came to the house and she verified her choice was a good one. I am disappointed that the color is not like the color in the picture. The actual color is a brushed silver. Tea kettle is very light weight.
