This looks good and could potentially be a good piece to keep, however, I'm still returning this... see review for the Intensa Frypan:
I've been looking for cookware that support a healthier life. "Grilling and frying without the use of any oils," recommendation from a family member, huge discount and a great video on youtube, I was sold. Now the reality is in the actual test. It must be made for professionals because I thought I followed the instructions heated up the pan 2/3 high, once a drop of cold water dances around, wiped on a little bit of oil and placed fish on the pan. I waited until the fish was "released" from the bottom which took about 4-5 minutes (it was a thin slice of fish, not a big chunk of salmon, it was too overcooked) then flipped over. It did not taste like "fried" fish. It tasted like baked fish. The cleaning was a pain. I poured hot water shortly after cooking btu it still left the waffle base discolored and took forever to scrub away. I did not cover the pan while frying perhaps that's the difference?
This may work well for steaks and salmon. But I like a lot more variety than that. It's not for me. For this price, I want versatility and don't want to put this much care and worry that if someone else uses the pan they won't know what to do or worse, they'll damage it. I'll just get a cheap cast iron pan, nature's non-stick, and... as America's Test Kitchen recommended, I'll get the Tramontina TryPly-Clad from WalMart. Just as good as All-Clad (guess not exactly) but it's less than 1/2 price.
I do have to say, the person who recommended this to me, loves it and says it's easy to clean. Returning this Frypan... along with the pot.
