Simax Glassware 7296 Rectangular Roaster Pan, 3.5-Quart Review
I recently had a massive clumsy moment and dropped a three piece cookware set, shattering into many large chunks as well as hundreds of slivers of glass. Concrete garage slabs are not very conducive to absorbing harsh impacts. I began searching for a replacement set and came across some articles that led me to further research. The bottom line the Simax is manufactured in Europe using borosilicate glass (a much stronger glass than soda-lime glass). The Simax cookware is a bit more expensive than what is otherwise available but much more durable, stronger and safer. You can research borosilicate versus soda-lime glass and make your own decision. I'm certainly comfortable with the one I made. (I'll be using this same review for the Simax 1.5 quart glassware)
