Have you noticed any difference between all the high-priced pans and the Bialetti pans? I certainly have. All those expensive name brands with the non-stick coatings all have uncoated rivets on the inside of the pan where food can stick. It can usually be removed only with a steel wool pad which will inevitably compromise the non-stick coating around the rivet. The Bialetti pans are the only ones which don't have exposed rivets on the inside of the pan. I find that they also spread the heat evenly. If your pan tips to one side making the butter or oil pool on one side, it may be that your burner is not absolutely flat. I do not experience this problem.

Seemed to have a nice weight and balance but the coating started chipping off in just a week (and I only use nylon spatulas and wooden spoons, no metal). Spend you money on better skillets from Calphalon, Anolon or Cuisinart instead of wasting $20 on this.Honest reviews on Bialetti Collection 10 Inch Saute Pan
We own a fairly complete set of these skillets and pots, probably over eight years old. We have always loved the look and feel. When it finally came time to replace a couple of them (one had been dropped), I found exactly what we were looking for on Amazon. Unfortunately, upon receipt we discovered that they are no longer made in Italy and are now made in China -and it shows. From a cooking point of view they seem to be just as good as our prior pans purchased several years ago. However, from an appearance point of view it is easy to see that the quality is no longer there. Unless you have the opportunity to compare then with now you might not recognize the differences. The bottom of the pans now have a rough silver surface in concentric circles that scrape across the burners and quickly scratch. Our prior skillets look almost as good today as when we originally purchased them; however, the three new skillets we purchased (8" 10" 12") all show obvious signs of wear on the bottom. I expect over time we will need to replace them due to appearance. On the plus side the handles are similar -although not exact -to the originals and are very comfortable to use. It seems that much of today's cookware tends to have uncomfortable handles in an attempt to be stylish instead of functional. In spite of the obvious wear that quickly shows on the bottom of the pans, we do recommend these for ease of use and cooking quality. I should also mention that owners of the original set will be pleased to know that all lids fit both older and newer versions.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Bialetti Collection 10 Inch Saute Pan
