heavy, solid, quality steamer pan that fits perfectly on the Cooks Standard NC-00238 Multi-Ply SS Chef's Pan, which I also ordered for my induction cooktop!. These are huge and can handle a sizeable amount of food. I steamed a complete meal for 6 people composed of veges and diced potatoes around a center bowl of rice with water on the bottom steamer and salmon steak with a olive oil rub, s/p, chopped scallions and thin lemon slices on the top steamer. This is the biggest steamer insert I've ever seen. I can steam a dozen dim sum without problem. It is molded from a single layer of stainless steel, with the edge fold over. To my suprise: it got scratched fairly easy, by a ceremic plate I used when steaming a fish.It will be nicer if it has two handles.
