We have used this several times for pasta making and have found it to be well made and fully functional, no problems beyond what you would expect with the use of boiling water having a small coloring effect on the interior of the bottom pot. I find this normal. The only improvement might be, and I don't how to make it, would be a way to raise the interior colander for draining without having to place it somewhere else. Reading the description of this item leads you to believe it's "Made in the USA" with all the hype about All Clad being manufactured in Pennsylvania. However, upon receiving the item, I noticed it says "Made in China" on the box! What the hey????
