Since this skillet is cast iron, the food prepared on it never burns and feels much tastier than the one cooked on my previous. The size is great, just enough for one person. Also, it works absolutely great for pancakes.

I ordered a pair of these. They are satisfyingly sturdy and as smooth as they need to be to cook properly (I had a skillet from another major manufacturer the one beginning with L and ending with odge that was so crudely finished and rough inside it was unusable). I preheated the pans in the oven with a wipe of oil and poured in my cornbread batter. The cornbread baked evenly and released from the pans easily. The pans held heat well and kept the cornbread warm at the table. Later they cleaned up very well under warm water with a scrubbie made for non-stick pans. I recoated them with a dab of virgin coconut oil. I'm really happy with their quality and performance and I look forward to using them often. Four stars instead of five because one pan was obviously finished with much more care than the other and I wish they were both identical.

This skillet is truly the best. Such great quality. I love it. I would like to purchase a set from this company. I will as soon as I can. Just want to say that it cooks food superbly well and if you leave it on the heat like I have done, it withstands the heat and you can still use it. You just wash it and begin again. Great for small servings if you are trying to watch your weight or serving size. It truly will not let you go over the required amount.

Again, this is well worth the money. A great buy!
