I just used my new Scanpan 12" saute pan for the first time. I love it! Very even heating, perfectly non-stick surface, works beautifully at high temperatures. I've been disappointed in Calphalon's non-stick surface, which doesn't hold up well at all. I have a small Scanpan griddle and it has done well for a year now, so I'm hoping this saute pan holds up, too. The pan is quite heavy, especially when filled with whatever you're cooking, so I recommend getting one with the helper handle.

Simply outstanding; the best. I have been using top-end coated non-stick cast cookware since 1993, but could not afford Scanpan. I found a sale on Amazon; I can cook anything in the saute pan, using olive oil or butter for flavor as needed with heat distribution uniform at any temperature. I have recently started baking gingerbread and such in the Saute pan, with extraordinary results (I presume because of the heat distribution), and no problem with the "plastic" handle even at high heat. I am still reluctant to use a knife directly on the pan, the problem is that the pan is fine but the knife gets dull. Clean-up is so easy that it takes me longer to wash the remains of scrambled eggs from a plate than the pan.
