I ordered this tea kettle when I needed to upgrade to a larger size from my 1.5 qt. I wanted something that could hold up to lots of use (I drink a lot of tea) and something that would add beauty to my kitchen. I was not disappointed in this tea kettle. I love the vintage look of the speckled blue enamel and the leaf design on the spout lidit adds just the perfect vintage charm to a kitchen. It's wide base is excellent for getting water hot FAST and the whistle is loud enough to hear from another room without being ear piercing. The handle stays nice and cool for pouring and the spout will stay in the open position when clicked back (a feature that was important to me but not present on many tea kettles). I love this tea kettle and would highly recommend it.

I loved this teakettle. The creamy yellow was so cute. however, after 3 months rust is appearing around spout and opening for lid. So disappointing.Best Deals for Paula Deen Signature Teakettles 2-Quart Enamel on Steel Whistling
Pros:Pretty blue enamel.
Handle does not get hot.
Whistle works (but not loud).
Bottom is holding up (after less than a month).
Cons:
Handle doesn't move (may not be a con for some).
I already have a chip on the lid from dropping it (I've had it less than a month).
It does tend to "spit" hot water when you pour, but only if you overfill (there's a fill line under the spout).
Overall rating: good. I'm sure I could have done worse ordering over the internet. I will continue to use it all the time; it stays on the stove!
