Looks much better than I expected. Easier to apply than I expected. As a renter, I wanted something that would update my kitchen, but I didn't want to make permanent changes or damage the countertop. I originally planned to use the onyx, but the Venecia Gold is very forgiving. No seams show, so I wound up covering the 80 year old cracked tile on my backsplash. It looks great.Friday, May 23, 2014
Instant Granite Counter Top Cover Venecia Gold 36 x 144 Review
The last 4 ft of my2nd roll was wrinkled and ugly. Rather than leave unfinished I made do and covered the wrinkles with cannisters. The seller offered to replace the damaged amount but I didn't want to wait. It is an inexpensive improvement over my old formica countertop but I don't think anyone would believe it's granite. I found it awkward to peel the paper off and unroll the way it shows in the video, I kept unrolling crooked and having to start over. With another person to hold the end it was easier. The pattern is busy enough that it was easy to hide seams. I thought the rounded curve in my formica counter would be the trickiest part but making lots of little cuts around the curve and smoothing down with the hair dryer, it turned out surprisingly well.
