Had been looking for a M&P for grinding spices and seeds and most were too small. This is heavy and solid and does the job. I used it minutes after I opened the box and washed it to grind up some Juniper berries and Coriander seed and it crushed in in seconds. Only time will tell, but I am hoping for years of good used from this.

Great product looks good, heavy and does the trick. Inside is rough as it should be to grind harder spices ijke fennel

Pestle is a bit short. The set looks very nice with smooth finish. 6 Inch is a bit small for me. Received the item in 4 days, but the mortar has crack across the body. I contacted Big Kitchen, sent email including pictures. Big Kitchen sent replacement. Very good customer service. I wish it is a free shipping ($9.00 shipping is a bit high).
