It's a nice sized pan, and the nonstick surface hasn't begun to chip as of yet, usually a nonstick pan is flaking off within a week...so, I'm happy at this point....the weight is nice and it has become my go to pan at this point...

First off, I have to say that anyone who has given this a negative review either didn't receive the same skillet I did or they have made very poor choices with it (rough use with metal spatulas, pouring water in it immediately after use etc..)I bought this skillet as a gift to mom on Christmas in 2011, and she literally uses it EVERY time she cooks on the stovetop, which is nearly every day/night. I have also used it many times, and I must say that I have never seen such a perfect and truly non-stick skillet. We fry rice in it and don't need to scrape anything out. Just tilt the skillet a little and 100% of of the rice slides right out without any help from a spatula. It's handled fried chicken, thick, boiling sauces and anything else you can think of that might normally stick, and no amount of scraping has ever been necessary for cleaning.
There isn't much else I can say about this except that it performs exactly the way it's advertised. My mom wants a second one of these and would happily toss all of her pots and pans for a full set. I can't knowingly say that this skillet will last forever, but it's still as perfect as it was nearly a year and a half ago when it was new, so I can't imagine it ever losing it's non-stick properties, or at least not in the next few years.
One thing I can't comment on is how the dishwasher might affect it. It doesn't fit in my mom's dishwasher, so it has always been washed by hand.
Considering the success my mom has had, you may want to wash it by hand instead of using a dishwasher, just because that's never been a problem for us.
And, of course, don't use metal cooking utensils when you can avoid it, and never submerge any hot pan in water unless it's your goal to destroy it.

This skillet began losing non-stick properties within the first year. After 2 years it is sticker than my 60-year old Revere skillet.Honest reviews on Cuisinart Dishwasher Safe Hard Anodized Open Skillet
The price was right, the quality is there. I like how it cooks. Only a couple of things didn't allow me to rate it 5 stars. The first is that the pan is heavy. Not as easy to handle as Farberware. The other thing is just an annoyance. When you cook something like scrambled eggs, it gets on the gromets that hold the handle on. When that happens it is difficult to get it off them and you have to scrub. The pan itself cooks like a dream. The food practically slides right out of it.I do have to say that I've only had it a few weeks, so we'll see how it holds up over time, but so far I am happy with the purchase.
