I have had various models of pressure cookers over the years but nothing has impressed me as much as this. First off, it is so darn cute to look at. It is not too big and not too small either. I have had this for the past 6 years and have had no complaints whatsoever. Mine is the same as this except it is hard anodized aluminium. So, things might be slightly different as this is stainless steel. The gasket that comes with it is truly long lasting as I just changed mine last week for the first time. Keep in mind, I have used this at least once a day, sometimes as many as 3-4 times a day but I have not used it to cook meat. You will not regret this purchase.

extremely functional! It was good to read the reviews beforehand, and know this isn't like a typical Presto pressure cooker, but an Indian type. Otherwise I would have thought it was defective. I love how the body is not straight, but curved so a lot more food can be cooked. The smaller body means less time for the pressure to build, much less time for cooking, less energy used. I bought this along with the Prestige Deluxe Stainless Steel Mini Baby Pressure Cooker, 2-Liter. Both are wonderful. I am very well pleased with these 2 purchases!Best Deals for Prestige Deluxe Stainless Steel Mini Handi Pressure Cooker
I recently purchased the Prestige Deluxe Stainless Steel Mini Handi Pressure cooker. My choice was based on the two reviews that it received. I own two excellent Presto Pressure cookers (4 and 6 quarts) that I have been using for the past 3 or 4 years with no problem. The only reason I purchased the Prestige cooker is because I needed an additional small cooker. Unfortunately Presto does not have pressure cookers that are less than 4 quarts. The Prestige cooker looks very nice and seems to be well built, but when I tested it last week for the first time using water, it did not work properly. I have been using different brand of pressure cookers for the past 40 yrs; I use a pressure cooker everyday to cook meals for my family, so I know very well how to use a pressure cooker.
The Prestige cooker that I received has a problem with the weight valve. When the pressure indicator reaches full pressure, the weight valve is supposed to whistle, then you reduce the heat to finish the cooking. Mine did not whistle then all of the sudden, the valve lifts with force letting escape all the steam until I turned the flame off.
I tested it 3 times and it did the same thing every time. it is scary and not safe. This is a defective product that needs to be returned to the manufacturer.
I am returning the item for a refund and I will keep looking for a better mini cooker. I will definitely never purchase a Prestige cooker again as I have been really disappointed twice by Prestige cookers (see my other review on the 2 Liters cooker).
