The Calphalon Unison Roasting Pan is a solid well-made roaster and is very easy to clean up. Make sure you read the "Use & Care" pamphlet that comes with it. Before your first use, you must wash it with warm water, dishwashing liquid and a non-abrasive sponge or soft bristle brush then dry it. After the initial wash, wipe the interior with a light coat of cooking oil to condition the cooking surface. As other reviewers have said to ensure it's authenticity it will say Toledo, OH USA on the bottom of the pan.

I didn't purchase my Calphalon Unison roaster through Amazon.com, but through a chef's outlet store at a mall. (Because there was a small scratch in the non-stick, I was able to obtain the roaster at a very affordable price.) When you receive the roaster, check the underside it should say Calphalon, SEAR, Toledo, Ohio. Mine has those words and I can report it cooks and cleans up flawlessly.Please don't be put off by the bad reviews. When the pan is authentic it is a top-notch item and well worth the price. I purchased mine for a Thanksgiving turkey and gave it a test run with roast chicken. It was the easiest chicken I've ever cooked. Even a novice can cook like a pro with this superb roasting pan.

I bought this from a local home store and feel compelled to write a review only because it's a brilliant product. This is not my first Calphalon Unison product, but it's my first roasting pan. Previously I've used cheap aluminum pans that are disposable. My birds were cooked unevenly, I had problems with browning, control of the juices was hard.Well, not anymore. This pan is outstanding. The rack lifts the meat up off the bottom of the pan so the heat can get all around it. My first choice, a turkey, came out golden brown and delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly, the thighs were the same temperature as the breast and nothing but the wings ended up overcooked (they always do so I wasn't surprised). It's big enough for a turkey, or maybe two chickens. You could probbaly roast an entire rib roast primal (prime rib anyone?). It's solid, well made, and the aluminum construction makes it pretty light considering how well its made. It also doubles and will go stove top. I made my gravy by deglazing this pan with white wine, some stock, and thickened it right in the pan.
What's best about Unison though is the cleanup. Put it in the dishwasher. That's right. Just load it in, a Cascade tablet, slam the door, turn it on, and walk away. It comes out clean as a whistle and the coatings stay intact.
