when my hubby was in rehab for over a month the food was something to be desired so I made him dinners, lunches and took them in these microwave dishes, the nurses put his food in their refrigator & I would heat it up in their microwave, it worked wonderful and since we are home I use it to warm left over food in...works just like a steamer....

We love these Sistema products. They can be used in both the freezer and the microwave. The little pop-up vent on the top keeps whatever you are microwaving from exploding all over. They are dishwasher safe, however.....I wash them in the top rack and do not use the d/w heating element to dry them. The tops clip on easily and these dishes do not leak.

My Husband just loves them he works at the railroad & he said it is nice having a hot meal when he wants it 'and by him getting early instead of when he gets home from work at 12.00 he has lost wt like 32.00 lb
