I was thrilled to receive my kettle from Amazon really quickly long before I expected. It was disappointing to find a small piece of paper inside the packaging telling me what would have been really good information to have to enable me to make an informed purchase. ....Like "make sure that the kettle has no water left inside. This will prevent any possibility of rust appearing"
Also, when wiping the outside of the kettle with a hot cloth purple is coming off.
I love the idea of this kettle but I wouldn't have purchased it had I known all the information.
BTW...it took about a week to have little "almost rust" spots show up...and we tried to empty it every time.

The colour on this kettle is breathtaking but it doesn't last long enough to enjoy if you have a gas stove.Anything heating beside it immediately turns the colour and the scorching shows through.

This tea kettle was beautiful, and the shape very efficient for heating. However after the first use the inside of the lid was ringed in rust. Come to fine out the instructions say to leave no water in it after use. What's the point if you can't leave water in a tea kettle? The shape makes it difficult to wipe any leftover water out of it. Was not happy with the quality of this item. The handle was not attached in the center of the pot. It looks like it was assembled by a grade school kid.
