We are very pleased with this stockpot. For years, we have been purchasing our stockpots at a local restaurant supply store till we had two (the second a replacement for the first) that literally were leaking through the pores of the aluminum. Some previous pots that had not had this problem were made in Korea, these were made in China and the store no longer carried the ones from Korea. We purchased these because they were made in the USA. As soon as they arrived the difference in quality was evident. They are a heavier gauge aluminum, with a nicer finish, etc. they also are taller and narrower for the size which means that they fit the burner better. (The company says that this design difference is to improve flavor because the flavor boils up further through the stock more).
