I have been using Farberware skillets for years and I have always been happy until this purchase. The nonstick coating has started chipping off after only a few weeks use. I only use plastic or wood utensils, but after the first use the bottom had lots of deep scratches, and now little bits are coming off. I am very sad because this pan is a perfect pan in size, but the nonstick coating seems to be inferior. My last pan just like this one lasted about 5 years before it was showing any dangeroous wear on the nonstick surface.We love the fry pans! Everything we thought they would be. We have other Farberware pots and couldn't be more pleased.
