This replaces my Oxo version with fraying nylon heads. I use these tongs for my nonstick pans and so far so good. They seem thicker than the Oxo version which I would not purchase again for longevity reasons. The red ends are removable and will even come off during washing so mind that.

I think it would be hard to screw up tongs. Well, I guess they could fall apart, or they could have sharp parts on the handle. Well, these are smooth where they want to be. They haven't fallen apart yet, and it looks like they aren't going to any time soon. They clean up just fine in the dish washer. Red is the best color ever. And they were only about $8 with free shipping with Prime.Yeah, these earned 5 stars.

The silicone heads slipped off items I tried to pick up and turned white in the dishwasher. OK for salads and the like, but otherwise, not outstanding.
